When has it become a crime to celebrate after ending an academic journey of about 6 years, inspite of all odds in a country like ours, more so when the party was an open graduation party held within her street?

Miss Lawrenta Apaume Uloko, just graduated from the Department of Banking and Finance (HND), Auchi Polytechnic on Thursday, 2/11/2017.

It was a celebration mood for her as she, along with her fellow graduates gathered to participate in a graduation party organised for them within thier street, when members of the Vigilantes, like commandos, stormed the venue of the party and started shooting sporadically.

Unfortunately, Lawrenta, a pretty lady from Fugar in Etsako East L.G.A of Edo State fell to the bullets of the Vigilantes.

As at the time of writing this piece, no reason has been adduced yet, to why the Vigilantes stormed the area, although many students of the Auchi are poised for war with the men of the Vigilantes for the incessant assault, maiming and on several occassions, killings of students in the community by men of the Vigilantes. The students have vowed that unless the perpetrators of this gruesome murder of a very lively and always joyful girl are brought to book, they may take laws into thier own hands. Some of the students are chatting "they must fall", meaning that the killer's must die too. Palpable tensions everywhere within and outside Auchi community.

After graduation party wahala............RIP to Lawrenta.

Just yesterday, at the front of the the premises of a Federal Government agency in Wise Zone 7, a staff of the agency came out after closing to enter and drive her car home, but was dazed when she met an empty space there.

She looked around, ran up and down, but her Toyota 4runner SUV was no where to be found. Promptly, with the help of the Police serving in the agency, signals where immediately passed across Police formations nationwide and neighbouring countries.

Thank God for the tracker- at this point the vehicle was being tracked which revelaed the vehicle was already in Katsina State. The woman was advised that she should not ground the vehicle in a bush area, but inside a busy town, otherwise the thieves would easily set the car on fire.

Finally, just by 8pm same day, the criminals who had successfully crossed over into Niger Republic, were caught with the car. They are to be repatriated with the car to Abuja to face criminal charges.

The woman and her husband, including colleagues and well wishers are celebration and joyous mood.

The reason of passing across this information, is for car owners, particularly in Abuja (a thriving place for car thieves) to know how they park their cars and if you can afford, put a tracker and always pedal lock your car (at least this will make it hard for them to easily go with the car).

16-year-old teenage girl has been arrested along with 52 men after they were caught having intercourse with her consent in turns.

“I was further convinced to stay because I discovered that they are more honourable than the others. I am sorry and would love to be given the opportunity to go back to school.

“I never knew that it is crime to be a member. I am sorry,” Ifechukwu pleaded.

Another member of the group, Ugochukwu Agbazuo, revealed that they are all undergraduates of various institutions in Anambra.

“Apart from some of our national leaders, we are all students. I was initiated into the cult while I was still in my first year. I had no choice but to join them because of the harassment in school. I discovered that most of the Engineering students in my school were members of different cult groups.

“Again, if you identify with a known cult in school, the lecturers will respect you. You don’t have to buy handouts or offer bribe to get credit in a course. This was why I joined them,” he said.

He insisted that they did not steal or harass innocent people.

“The guns that were found with us were bought in case there was a clash in school. It is our leaders who are all graduates and working across the country that normally assist us to secure the arms. It is strictly for defence and one of the rules of our group is that you must read and pass your exams on merit.”

I don't think it has anything to do with a bad foundation. My bricklayer claims it is mostly due to the type of plastering sand available in Abuja area. My house and several others at CBN Estate sufferers that same fate. What I did was to use crack tiles round the house. Two weeks ago when I went for inspection, the paints used for the inside fence have started gathering mould and in some places peeling off.

Same claims I have been hearing, that waters soaks Abuja sand easily, but I doubt if its entirely true.

You need to understand that corrective measures in buildings are usually more expensive than doing the right thing in the first place. IT'S one thing to be worried about water seepage, it's another things to be ready to put the corrective measures in place. Provided your building has columns supporting the walls, solution is to introduce water proof membrane along the walls. A process that requires you to crack open the walls. This disallows further upward movement of water from the soil.

Using tiles does not come as a permanent solution to this problem in my opinion and it distorts the visual effect of your interior space.

Builders and Engineers in the house, kindly advise me over this:
I just moved into my new 2 bedroom flat with a BQ self contain, somewhere in Abuja.

I started building the said house when I had little or no experience on the best practices to apply when building a house. That meant that the foundation might not be as strong as it should and there was no German floor.

Since i moved in a few months back, I discovered the walls soaks, causing both the interior painting and external walls to peel.

Although, I intend to tile the external walls to the window level, as well as flooring the surroundings of the building. I also intend to cast pillars to the body of the walls right from the foundation level to support the foundation and the walls.

My worries/questions:
1. Will the above measures reduce the effects of water on the walls?

2. Is there anything I can do to re-enforce the building which would give support to the walls and the foundation of the building?

Or what best do I do to minimize the effect of water on the walls and also to re-enforce the walls/foundation of the building?

You got it wrong. Not all fat guys got small priks. The size of prik is relative to the bearer. Am chubby and tall and I can proudly tell you that I hav a long tick "stuff" that stunns gals that normally expect a lesser "rod". Just last night, Theresa cried and confessed that she never expected the kind of "stuff" I got and the marvellous works it did in and out of her.
