Nollywood actor task youths on Career Choices at 'Save the Youths' Conference as Hon. Frank Archibong Bags an Award

Akwa Ibom’s finest actor in Nollywood, Moses Armstrong was a surprise guess at this years edition of ‘Save the Youths’ Conference which held at the prestigious ‘Villa Marina Hotel’ Banquet Hall.

The event started few minutes behind schedule with its usual rewards system of free airtimes and Mission statement taken by host of the event and some musical performances by talented artists.

Then the First Charge by Akwa Ibom’s finest Nollywood actor, Moses Armstrong came;
“Some very good career come by accident, all you need do is sit on it, stay focused and conquer all challenges. And when you eventually get to the top, raise people, so incase you fall, there will be somebody to hold you up so that you wont crash land, then you can rise again”.

After that, the first symposium for the day on the topic;
The Role of Youths in Politics and Economic Development and the guest on the hot-seat were: -
1. Arc. Ezekiel Nyaetok (Social Democratic Party (SDP) Governorship Candidate)
2. Hon. Emmanuel Mbong (PDP Chapter chairman in Eket)
3. Mr Ndueso Essien (SA to Akwa Ibom Governor on Research and Documentation)

There were serious deliberations ad arguments as the topic got really tensed.
High point of the symposium came when the Architect himself supported a youth with some good amount of money.

The event also witnessed an Essay Writing Competition among Secondary School students organized by Teenscript.

The winners made home with lovely prices.

The second symposium was on The Role of Youths in Peace/Conflict Management and the guest were: -
1. Chief Usoro I. Usoro (Chief Protocol to Akwa Ibom Governor)
2. Peace Etop (Special Ass. To Senator Akon Eyakenyi)

The event came to a climax with the Presentation of various awards to deserving winners.

The newly reappointed Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment, Mr David Okon Sargent popularly known as Utang Akwa Ibom just endorsed 'Save the Youths Conference' for the 3rd year in a row.

The Special Assistant is on note, the most consistent 'Save the Youths Conference' patron by attending all four (4) editions of the event and on some editions will even go as far as facilitating different aspect of the event.

The Special Assistant, who just got reappointed into office by the governor, is already saddled with responsibilities such as;

*Setup a viable working plan for the different sub sectors in the Entertainment industry.

*Setup a workable loan formular for different Entertainment players in the industry.

*Resolve all pending conflict among different sub sectors of entrainment in Akwa Ibom State.

Auxiliary nurses are often referred to as health assistants. 

Auxiliary nurses require no academic qualifications, and the role can serve as a pathway into a career as a registered nurse.

Nsit Ubium's rich Cultural heritage on Display as 'Christmas Made in Nsit Ubium' continues (Pics)

Africa has got rich Cultures/traditions and when it comes to displaying such, we do it with all amount of pride.

This is what played out some days ago as Nsit Ubium council boss, Hon. (Dr.) Udemeobong Sylvanus took 'Christmas Made in Nsit Ubium' the traditional way.

Lot's of Nsit Ubium's Cultural heritage like Traditional Chiefs, Masquerades, Dance groups etc where on ground to entertain the crowd who came out en-mass to appreciate their culture/tradition.

The week long activities will come to a climax this Sunday with a Thanksgiving service, but for now, enjoy the beautiful pictures from the 'Cultural Day outing'.

'Save the Youths Conference' debuts in Ikot Ekpene as Council Boss supports Event (Pictures)

Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District on Sunday 29th September 2019 witnessed another Socio-Political gathering.

It was the maiden edition of Save the Youths Conference in the Senatorial District.

The Conference which is aimed at addressing the problems of the youths had Youth Groups , Youths Leaders, Community Heads, Ward Councillors, Young Professionals, Ikot Ekpene Council Chairman and Vice all in attendance.

The event was opened with a prayer by Pst. Ab Isong, Lead Pastor @ The Citadel Ministry, followed by a Vision statement of 'SAVE THE YOUTHS CONFERENCE' anchored by Mr Udo-Akagha Inyang (Peasy), the Project Manager.

Couple of musical performances and Miss Asuquo Blessing of 'Rockland TV' spoke briefly on 'Leadership.

The executive Chairman of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Council, Hon. Unyime Etim later addressed the youths of the area to shun violence and focus on meaningful venture as the Government is doing all they can to make Ikot Ekpene alive again.

He also thanked the organizers of the event and promised to always support creative ideas like this.

Mr Leo Leo Umana (Ikot Ekpene youth Leader & Chairman of AKIRS) who was one of the Guest Speakers later spoke on "Dangers of Cultism and the Effect of Drug Abuse".

In his Key Note Address, he highlighted the effects of drug abuse, told the youths to key into the 'Dakadda' Philosophy of the Governor while being good citizens of our dear State.

Ezekiel Etemudia also known as 'Street Governor' in his address challenged the youths to be productive by learning a trade so as to be relevant in the Society.

The climax of the event was a Round Table discussion which had the CEO of Smile we Care, Mr. Inyang James,

Beauty Queen and current Miss Uyai Annang, and the session was anchored by Amazing Aniebiet Francis, CEO of 'Orange Films*.

The CEO of 'Smile we Care', Mr Inyang James added That his team will soon commence training of youths in Soup Making, Paint Production and Cake Making and many more areas of their choice.

Next turn is 'Save the Youths' Conference' (Akwa Ibom State Edition) coming up in January @ Villa Marina hotel, Eket which will feature Most Outstanding Youth (MOY) Awards to deserving Akwa Ibom youths who are excelling in their different Entreprenuership.

The young couple who died two weeks to their Traditional Marriage have been laid to rest in Obot Akara LGA in Akwa Ibom State.

ND Reporters had earlier reported of a young couple who were planning their traditional marriage that was just 2 weeks away.

They were involved in an accident on their way to purchase items for the marriage and the two died from injuries sustain from the accident.

May their Soul Rest in Peace, Amen.
