Natural disaster imminent in Nigeria - Adeboye

UNLESS Nigerians sincerely seek the face of God, a natural disaster is imminent in the country. The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, had at the Special Holy Ghost Service for the month of March, warned Nigerians not to be non-chalant in their prayer lives as a natural disaster may soon occur in the country.

Pastor Adeboye urged Nigerians on Friday to pray against natural disasters as several countries have been hit by earthquakes, landslides, rainstorms, etc in recent times.

"Earlier this year, there were prophesies that natural disasters would take place in some countries around the globe, what has happened in Haiti, Chile, Taiwan, France and Jerusalem has confirmed this.

"Recently, another one took place in Uganda, that means it is getting nearer. The present climatic condition is a clear signal that the natural disaster is gathering momentum unless we pray against it.

"Although I'm not a prophet, as a pastor, I hear when God speaks. If we do not pray fervently to avert this, Nigeria's turn of the disaster is very soon," he warned.

He advised those fond of dumping refuse in drainages to stop doing so, urging them to clear all debris to prevent flood and also pray against flooding.

When I watch his programmes on TV and it gets to the part where he says 'There is someone here today with a pain ain the right side of his head e.t.c.',,,,,,,. I am like Nigga pleaseeeeeee! What are the chances that there wouldnt be someone with a headache in such a large crowd and if there was no onewith any pain in the head we wouldnt even know. Those messages will be more credible if he could call out the names of the afflicted persons to come forward for deliverance.

Imagine a big disaster struck and kills about 10 million people, it will be go a long way in easing some of the problem in Nigeria. It is a well known fact that when a population goes beyond its limit or above sustainable growth, there are some natural disaster -disease [like black death ] - do play a part in keeping the figures in check. It will even be better if say about 50 million gets wiped out just like that. No I am not evil, just stating a scenario that may or may not happen. If 50 million people get wiped out and after the sorrow and what not, imagine the changes that will happen? There will be enough resources to go round than before etc.

And did Jesus wear rag or walk on foot? do you remember that he rode a donkey into Jerusalem in the bible? so because he's a pastor, he should live in poverty? where do you people get the notion that a man of God should be poor?

Yes. The death of about 50million people will at least wipe out some tribes or make them "severely endangered". It will mean we will be at a more manageable figure, lesser strain on resources, it will make us think harder and approach things with a different thinking. It worked for the Jews - some will argue their deaths in larg numbers have helped the nation of Israel in a lot of fronts - Be it technical, weaponry, science, space etc.

When it comes to such sensitive spiritual issues, I know better than to be ranting like most posters here are already doing. As per the pending Natural Disaster,I know that it is well and God will see us through.

No Jesus never wore rag, neither did he wore a designer either. [He never wore the finest robes that is]

His riding of a donkey into Jerusalem was of a significant purpose. Donkey is seen as a sign of modesty etc. If he had rode on a horse, perhaps you may have a point as Horse represent power, respect etc.

I never said he should be poor, he should not be filthy rich either. A private jet cost millions of naira to maintain a year, where does that money comes from? From poor gullible souls who give a tenth of their earnings and sunday contributions in the hope of fulfilling the words of God.

Who says anything about the north? It could be any tribe. Please do not make assumptions.

Again, please look up on the human world wide population figures before the world wars. It goes with what I stated before, when a population reaches an optimum size, some of it will have to die off, be it from war, natural disaster etc. This is a well known fact. The world population peaked just before the two world wars. Fact.

You really are moving into something else. In the context I used Israel as an example, it is correct. Heck, one can argue Israel is better developed than Nigeria.
