My own problem with your write-up is you saying you did not do yahoo. My brother, you deciding not to do yahoo is nothing special but infact what is expected of you. If you decide to venture into crime, you'll just die or end up living a regretful life, behind bars of course.

Get a skill and start life afresh...e no easy for anybody
Who told you all those people doing Yahoo are living a life full of regret? Who told you all of them later live behind bars. Some of them has used Yahoo money to establish themselves and families and built houses. 3 of my coursemate used Yahoo money and travel to UK. Each of them spent #18million. They are doing fine over there now. I am not encouraging OP or anyone to do Yahoo or any other crime. I am only trying to correct your perspective about those doing Yahoo.

Your primary concern should be your peace of mind and saving yourself.

OP is not merely single and poor. He was born into this world by poor parents who failed to provide him all that was necessary to get him the good start he required to establish himself economically. That is why OP is poor. If Op had instead squandered the resources handed him by his parents then we can blame OP but this is not the case at all here. undecided
his parents failed him. See how far they have been suffering. Unfortunately, OP is helpless.

Thank you for understanding.

It could be his parents didn't give him the right footing for wealth, but he can change that for himself.

They sound like industrious people. Maybe he needs a change of location and a new set of skills to succeed. Looking forward to read his story of success. Maybe it will prove to people here that children don't cause poverty.

But if he feels his family is cursed, why hasn't he tried to uncurse it?
The family is not curse. It is poverty that is making OP think his family is curse.

But it is not children that cause poverty the way it's being pushed here.

Once a person has financial problems, they will always shift it to how many children or siblings they have. That is not what determines poverty. There will always be poor people for different reasons.

Jackie Chan, a considerably rich man, had a daughter who was living on the streets. Which child caused that?
i get you. Who poor don poor. Even if he has just a child or none. We have families with one child that are still suffering in Nigeria. We have single persons that are also suffering. I believe OP is single and he's poor. I understand he's suffering from the consequences of his parents

They will still be bothered, because they are still poor people whether with one or with six children. Even if they were alone they would still be bothered.

Children are not the cause of poverty. Poverty has different causes. And children have nothing to do with it.
being alone as a poor person is better than bringing in children to poverty. At least you don't have to worry how the children will feed. You only focus on yourself.

If getting those jobs are easy, why has OP not gotten one? Teaching jobs are the easiest to get, especially with a high grade. He has to start from somewhere. You get work for am?

In Lagos, Abuja and Port-harcourt. In fact, the person I referenced was not in any of those places, but earned 63K per month and had accommodation included. The snag here is that OP's course isn't in great demand as my friend (he taught maths and further mathematics). To counter that, OP should take on more than one subject and, if possible, three sef to ensure his salary gets to 70K.
The best for OP if he can get someone to help him is to apply to US for MS, he has a good GPA. Another option is to get a job through referral. I believe most jobs are gotten through that. Or a business if he could get a capital. I wish i was in a position to help or have the means of helping.

Children are not the cause of poverty.
The level of poverty with just a child will be minimal compare to that of five, six children. They will only be bothered on how to feed one mouth, but the other one will be bothered on how to feed half a dozen mouth.

It's not just children that cause poverty.

But if you think it is, that's alright.
take for instance Mr A earn 50k monthly then gave birth to 6 children. While Mr B earning same 50k has just a kid. Even though both of them are poor, but Mr B can still cater for his only child much better than Mr A with 6 kids

You have been fair.

These vices can be found in any type of person. I tend to disagree with it as I know some people with one child who have never seemed to get it right. And I know those with more than 4 children and they're much better off.

There are a host of other factors that determine poverty.
what other factors aside too many children will you attribute as the cause of POVERTY?
Family / Re: Is My Family Truly Cursed Or Not? by NigeriaIsGreat: 8:13pm On Jan 22
Kobojunkie:
The key is not bringing kids into a poverty situation. For example, it makes no sense for a single person who is barely able to make ends meet to bring kids into the situation because by doing so, that previously single person essentially initiates what may seem a curse on the lives of those innocent children born into abject poverty. lipsrsealed
but that is what most average Nigerians does. Once they get a room apartment, they look for a girl to impregnate and start a family. Some even impregnate women while living in their father's house still eating their father's food. They always decieve themselves with the belief that those children might bring furtune or might turnout being great

It's not only people with many children who are poor. shocked
yes you're right, some family with just a child or two are also poor but you wouldn't compare the level of poverty of those with 1 or 2 child to those with six children. Some single persons too are also poor, but at least they do not bring in innocent children to the world to suffer and continue the cycle of POVERTY in their lineage. I believe you know Nigeria is in a sorry state now? Government is the major cause of it, while the masses has their own share. One of the causes of the masses is having children beyond their resources. These children at the end of the day are being put under pressure to take over the responsibility of the family which has led so many of them into crime like Yahoo, robbery, kidnapper, ritualist etc inorder to take care of their family.

Not all homeless people have mental health issues. There are a lot of single, childless people living in multidimensional poverty. Having many children doesn't determine anything.

There are also a lot of people with many children who are middle class and above.
maybe you're not in Nigeria for you to be saying this.

in Nigeria, most poor people have more children than the rich ones. Poverty is synonymous to too many children in Nigeria. You can hardly see a poor man with one or two kids in Nigeria. Even if you want to be wise as a poor man to have less children, your fellow poor people will convince you beyond unreasonable doubt to have more children expecially if you don't have both sex yet. This is a terrible problem in Nigeria.

This is a brilliant idea, but i think OP need a good stable income first before this. I believe he still has to spend some money along the process like getting his passport, a small laptop and other expenses. A stable source of income will make it easier for him. He can also support his family from his income too.

This is what NBS termed as multi dimensional poverty.

Crazy.

Yours isn't cursed.

Pls,change ur environment now...even if it means to relocate to the North, south or Eastern Nigeria.

The earlier u decide to this, come next year,u will thank me.

bros, change of environment does not work for everyone you know? From OP story, i don't think he has the means to change his environment.

It’s quite a sad experience, but that ordinance can be rewritten.
Sometimes some of us finds ourselves in lineages turn down, downtrodden, cursed, and in abject poverty even before our arrival, some of us may even find ourselves in lineages blessed, merry, and well defended and rich, for some, theirs are in between.
We were created for battles, and it’s because of these battles that we’ve been born. The battle may be within our household to change the foundation, it may even be against the nation that we were born in, it may even be to resolve chaos in another country.
But one thing is certain, by whom or those were born, the country or race is no mistake.

We are all born warriors to destroy what the enemy had done, doing or plans to do. YOU ARE A WARRIOR.

We be born into a family or lineage that bears a curse, all we need to do is switch foundations. These are spiritual truths. For the spiritual controls the physical. There are spiritual foundations.

2 Timothy 2:19
But the firm foundation of (laid by) God stands, sure and unshaken, bearing this seal (inscription): The Lord knows those who are His, and, Let everyone who names [himself by] the name of the Lord give up all iniquity and stand aloof from it.

One of the wonderful truths of Scripture is found in Romans 8:1: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (That is, those whose foundations are changed to Christ’s).

Seek Jesus and you’d be exempted.

John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:36
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

I no understand how you religious people dey reason. How will you be preaching to people that have been starving for days? Is that what they need? Your men of God are enjoying while their members are suffering, using Bible verses to decieve them. Is that what Christ did? Didn't Christ feed those that are hungry to their satisfaction? Nawa for una
