Of course the South West is a classic and wonderful example of where we have religious harmony playing out well. In Eastern Nigeria, for instance, a Christian - male or female - who marries a Muslim will be criticised and maybe called names but that is usually where it ends.

In the North, such persons - to a large extent - will face physical attacks or even death.

Therefore, using only the South West is not a representative sample and thus your conclusions may not be totally correct.

No Christian would allow their child become a traditional worshipper or an atheist.

It is the same with Islam.

However, there is a little bit more tolerance to be found with Muslims than Christians. There are many Muslims, especially in the Southwest, who have lived well with family members who are either traditional worshippers or Christians.

Minister of Works, Raji Fashola married a Christian and sometimes goes to church with her but she has never gone to mosque with him before.

Same with Bola Ahmed Tinubu whose wife (Remi Tinubu) is not just a Christian but is also a pastor.

Interfaith marriage is permissible ONLY for Muslim men..
When a Muslim man marries a Christian woman, the children are - in the eyes of Islam - Muslims.

But a Muslim woman is FORBIDDEN from marrying outside Islam

If that's your definition of religious tolerance, then it's skewed
