One evening, while sitting and gisting with friends and thinking about what to do to make some money, then an idea of selling fresh tomatoes and pepper comes into mind. Others laugh and said they’re too big they’ll not do it. But that did not stop me and one of my friend again. We swing into action, by designing a small A4 and A5 flyers with our phone numbers on it and distributed to the public. Our idea was simple and it’s for you to call us, and we’ll deliver it to the person at their door steps. Like joke, the thing kicks off beyond our imagination that beats our expectations. There were calls and business stated. We were in the business of distribution. Those that ran and thought they were too big, saw how viable the idea became, came calling and wanted to join, but it was late at that time. Our idea made us make money with little effort, but with maximum result. It was at that point that I realize that idea is really the new money in our time. What is an idea? An idea is a thought or suggestion to a possible cause of action. This often begins when you see a need and decided to fill it. An Idea is like a seed that normally starts small and grows with time. How to get an idea It’s difficult to effectively tell you the magic formula that will give you the idea that can rake in millions for you. But below are the ways to find an idea, just to give you an insight. 1. What do people want Look around the environment where you’re and see what people want and don’t have it, but it’s a desperate need. If you can find one, then develop a plan on how to make the people important and they’re come to become your loyal to you. For instance, in our own case, we made the customer important when we decided to deliver the product at their door step. it was sounding like we were doing them a favour, while actually they’re making us rich. Develop a strategy and use that leverage to your own advantage. 2. Reshape an existing idea If you cannot find an idea, look around for an existing idea and recreate your own. That is change one or two things and you have your own new idea. This method is pretty the way many people are using to come up with their own. Example of such is walmart and amazon.com. It was the idea of walmart that amazon copied, but what made the difference was that amazon, took their idea online. 3. Listen a lot Do a lot of listening. Today, people talk more about their problem a lot. When they do, just know that they’re giving you an idea already. Joke them down and see the one you can effectively turn into your new money. Then develop a strategy that will effectively make you successful. I have my idea already If you already have an existing idea, don’t just stop there. Keep refining it. Before someone will copy and push you out of the market. Having an idea is the new money in our world today. When you have an idea, don’t waste time go on, develop a workable plan and put it into action. |
It’s a popular saying that attitude is everything. In other words attitude is king. I didn’t understand it until when I studied the animal kingdom. The lion is not the largest of the animals and yet it’s the king of the jungle, controlling the jungle. The elephant in my opinion should be the king of the jungle because it’s bigger than the lion and maybe the strongest but it’s not. There are other animals that are bold like the lion and still could not match and stand as the number jungle citizen. Then I later found out that there was something the lion has that most animals don’t and that one thing is “attitude”. Attitude is the difference maker. Life is not all about money, love, smartness alone. You need the right attitude to keep you going. Because several challenge will come your way. Your greatest enemy in life is your last success. A person who doesn’t have the right attitude will find value in his last success and that keeps him from doing something else or moving forward. Attitude makes you to see your last success as a stepping stone for tomorrow’s success. When I was watching a documentary on how google came to be, in history channel, It was said that the founders of google, even though are billionaires, still maintain the same lifestyle prior to start of google and I said to myself, that is attitude. Attitude makes you to maintain your lifestyle even when there is change in your status and the size of your pocket. Guard your attitude and use it positively. This will make you grow over and over again, succeeding in all aspect of your life. And when there is a setback, attitude gives you the confidence to move on. Attitude is really the difference maker. source: http://sandalili.com/615-attitude-the-difference-maker |
This is a sad and unfortunate news coming from ASUU. I wonder when this thing will end. |
So many promise in the pass. Let's see what will happen after 2015. |
While surfing Nigerians most popular website and forum nairaland.com, I came across a post when someone was asking whether “to build or invest 500,000 naira”. After going through the replies, I was amaze at what other people are suggesting. I decided to write this not to criticize anyone, but to offer my own suggestions too. Having a 500,000 naira is good money to start a business, investment and even build a house. Fact about a house One thing that is really confusing today is whether a house is an asset or not. Well a house can be an asset and equally be a liability. When you invest 500,000 to build your own house, then it becomes a liability and if you build a house and rent it out, it becomes an asset. That is anything that put money in your pocket becomes an asset and the one that don’t becomes a liability. Why your house is not an asset The reason is not far fetch. Your house needs maintenance, you pay light bills, water bills and so on and at the end of the month, does not provide you with any cash. I know people will argue with me, but that is the fact. Your house only generates money when you sell it. Another thing to consider is, building a house today in Nigeria with that sum of money might not be enough to build your dream house, especially in big cities like Lagos, Abuja and so on. My suggestions The best thing to do with your money at this time is to invest it. But don’t just carry your money and invest it without any knowledge of the investment. Because there are a lot of Ponzi schemes around. There are lots of business you can start with that money. When the money is invested well you’ll be able to make serious return on your investment that you’ll use part of the money to build your house and the remaining part to keep growing your investment. source:http://sandalili.com/612-to-build-or-invest-500000-naira |
Doing the right thing at the wrong time. We need security, empowerment, rule of law etc, not spending our money on something that has little value. |
99% use google for search purposes. |
Wow this is a wonderful discovery and a welcome development. |
Thank you for the wonderful memory of a fallen hero who died in a national assignment. But unfortunately Nigeria don't remember genuine heroes. Sam, you're remembered by nigerians on dailypost and nairaland |
I believe a guy should make the first move not the opposite. Most girls that make the first move are the ones that guys turning the way they want, because they're the ones that has d greater percentage of love. |
This is serious. It's really unfortunate that some people will use public funds to pay there tithe and offering. |
This is really serious. Just hope it'll not escalate into something else. |
This is a welcome development. If other state can replicate lagos state, then Nigeria will be a better place. Nice development... |
Well i've just started a new blog call sandalili.com. Maybe you may want to check it out |
The academic staff union of universities (ASUU) on July 01, 2013 started an indefinite strike, joining the academic and non-academic staff unions in Nigerian polytechnics that saw the near collapse of tertiary education in Nigeria. No one knows what will happen next, with previous strikes by this unions lasting up to six months. Students are now back home many bitter. Especially those waiting for admission and those who are about finishing their education. It’s often sad to see this young aspiring youth be stagnant and with uncertainty as to what is going on and eagerly waiting for the day the strike will be suspended. If you’re not in the system or have not experience this scenario, just try and put yourself into the shoes of these young students, you’ll get what am trying to point out. This will make one to wonder if really our leaders care or better say if there is any future for the Nigerian youth? Well am not writing this article to criticize anybody, it’s just that some body is not doing his work that is why these things are happening over and over again and the grass is the one that is suffering. Just take advantage Sitting and blaming someone will not solve the problem, because the strike should not be an issue that hinders you from achieving your dreams. Just try and take advantage of the strike and learn something that will help you. Even if it is not for now, but still learn something that will help. Time is too precious for you to waste it. Look around you and decide on what to do. You can decide to learn a skill, read books that will inspire you, write articles or think of how to create something. Make sure you avoid wasting your time talking and watching television. Learning something at this time will improve you and will make you stand out from your peers. You will not be among them when they say oh am tired I want to go back to school or when will this strike be over? The simple reason being that you’re doing something far more important with your time. Case study The idea of standing this blog was conceive during a strike period like this. At that time, I don’t know how to create a blog, but still I wanted to do it. I starting looking for materials, to learn and that was the first time I got to know about sites like blogger.com and . I operated these free blogs, before trying a paid one. Today, these blog is a product of what was conceive and learned during a strike time like this. Remove the pride and decide to do something important with your time. And when the strike is over, you’ll be happy you utilize your time wisely. source:http://sandalili.com/420-how-to-take-advantage-of-the-ASUU-strike

In the vanguard of july 05, 2013, I read an interesting article that really make me to write this post. In the article, the minister of Agriculture, Dr. Akinnwnmi Adeshina delivered a keynote address at the 40th National council on agriculture and rural development in Abeokuta and said Nigeria will earn between $802 million to $1.37 billion as exports of cassava chips to china and Europe. The minister further added that the exportation will be fully realizable through an effectively secured financing of over $200 million dollars for 18 private sector-owned large scale cassava plants with the capacity to provide 1.3 million metric tons capacity per year and the provision of agricultural inputs through Federal Government-backed Growth Enhancement Schemes (GES) for small-holder farmers. According to the minister, over 100nmillion farmers have registered the reported Federal Government-led Growth Enhancement Scheme (GES). Now that is what the minister said. We have seen such plans about how things will go and produce result for us, but at the end, it doesn’t happen. We at sandalili.com are asking whether you believe this thing the minister said will really work and ordinary Nigerians too will benefit from it. |
Nigeria is known as the giant of Africa. And when people call something a giant, that person is exceptional and has qualities that differentiate it from other things. This makes others to want to emulate that giant. According to Hillary Clinton, in her state visit to Nigeria, she said “Nigeria is the giant of Africa terms of population. These might be true, because the only thing we can boost is our population. Our system of government is nothing to write home about, with each day pass, the structures still going down and more so the conditions still not improving. One striking thing that is really threatening the future of our country Nigeria, is the followers who complain about how bad things are and how our political leaders are doing nothing, is having the same mindset as that leader who doesn’t have Nigeria at heart, but personal interest. That is, most followers are waiting for their own opportunity to continue the trend of bad governance and personal interest on a greater scale. To verify my claim above, just follow what is happening in student unionism, where it has turn into serious politics and people vie for post for personal gain or interest. The desire to have the best thing in life and money that can buy them among young people is on the increase. And many are willing to do anything to make their desire a reality. The irony is, everything is about self, self and self. Better put the “me, myself and I syndrome” is driving most people beyond the borders of their conscience and doing some dangerous things. What we expect to see in all Nigerians. Nigeria is bigger than anybody you can think of. I believe we’re at a stage where we’ll begin to see some change among the people, both young and old. I believe the following are what to expect from every Nigerian. 1. All Nigerians will be patriotic and value all that we produce and see it as a step to growth and development. That is we’ll all look at what we have produce as superior and not inferior. 2. We should all have the I can do everything mentality. I think this is really lacking even among the youths. Let’s see ourselves as people who can do the impossible. 3. Let’s tolerate each other both in public places and religious places. 4. Let’s be our brother’s keeper. 5. Let’s choose leaders based on their credibility and their capacity to deliver on a promise. And let us be bold enough to tell a leader we are not going to vote you into office because you have done nothing. 6. Let’s learn to work because we want to. Don’t allow money to be the sole aim. 7. Let us move together irrespective of your religion, tribe and educational background. There are no such things as zoning: zoning is just a selfish term created for selfish reasons. When I was growing up I stayed among people who work in the civil service. It was the primary way most of the people earn their money every month. I kept seeing them telling university graduates that working with the government provides you with job security and after retirement, you get pension on a monthly basis. But in recent times things have happen in our world where we entered a financial crisis where lots of government and private businesses had to downsize their workers. When it was happening, people in Nigeria where saying it won’t come and to be candid, it has come. The whole issue turns out job security isn’t something someone can count on, nor should i. The question still remains to be a big debate, ‘is there such a thing as a job security anymore?’ in my opinion; there have never been anything like that. Because having a job does not guarantee your security and the reason is not far fetch, you’re not the one that will decide on who still has the job. In other words, just because you have the job, does not mean you can be in the job the next minutes, hour or day. in fact, the most secure people are in jail, that is why it’s call a maximum security. What should be your goal? There are two choices here. You can either choose security or freedom. Job security doesn’t reward you at the end the way you want it. You may work hard at your job and retired and they pay you peanuts as pension or work hard only to get fired or just enough that they don’t quit. They (the employer) utilize your time and energy to build them up and at the end; it’s you that will be at the receiving end and nothing to show, but experience. But don’t get me wrong, there is a job security and this is achieved by creating an income on your own terms. You design a life that brings in income and have you in control of your time, rather than just have a job (job means Just Over Broke). What should I do then? If what you have is a job, that is someone is paying you at the end of the month, then all you need do is to create another income source while you still can. Start creating your own income source on your own pace, on your own schedule and you’ll be building your own job security. You can create that for yourself and the people you love and care. Just know that true job security is not found in your paid job, but from the income you start creating by yourself right now. source:http://sandalili.com/409-job-security-is-a-thing-of-the-past-even-in-nigeria |
Today our misfortunes are deemed to be somebody else’s fault. More and more, we are becoming a blamed oriented culture; ‘I’m this way because of them’, ‘they did it to me’ it goes on and on. It’s in our DNA we say the breakdown in our marriages was our partners fault, or we drink too much because somebody drives us to it, or we’re unwell because of the fast food industry. Let’s sue them. Shifting responsibility may alleviate momentary guilt, but it’s a deadly game. Understand this, you are responsible for your decisions and actions and your failure to make the right decision, or take the right action makes you guilty. You will always reap what you sow. whatever comes your way depends on your actions and decisions. source:http://sandalili.com/413-nuggets-food-for-thoughts-the-blaming-game |
ASUU, ASUP strikes ground varsities, polytechnics In what could be described as a near collapse of the nation’s tertiary education sector, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is now in the fourth day of its indefinite strike action. The ASUU strike is the newest cart in the bandwagon of industrial actions in the sector; Eight weeks ago, the academic and non-academic staff unions in Nigerian Polytechnics, under the umbrellas of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUPS), Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIPS) and Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), embarked on a nationwide indefinite strike, over what they termed Federal Government’s insensitivity to their plights. ASUU’s demands Declaring the strike on Monday, ASUU Chairman of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) chapter, Dr. Karo Ogbinaka told reporters that the action was as a result of the Federal Government’s failure to honour the Academic Earned Allowance (AEA) which formed a component of the 2009 agreement the government signed with the union. Continuing, he said; “The allowances include; excess work load, high carriage of student per lecturer, responsibility allowance ranging from administrative responsibility borne by lecturers. For example, as head of department, deans of faculties, exams officers, course advisers and supervision of theses. The highest any lecturer gets from this allowance is N12,500 per month. The truth is that since 2009, no lecturer has been paid any allowance apart from the salary.” He explained that when this non-payment of allowance was brought to the notice of the Federal Government, Government authorities said that they forgot to include it in the current budget, pleading to make amends in subsequent years. The situation has, however, remained the same since 2009. Before the commencement of strike, Ogbinika noted that the union had several meetings with the Federal Government on this issue. “We went ahead to give them warning strike and they never did anything to avert the industrial action,” he said. “We had series of interaction with the Federal Government at the national level, but to the dismay of ASUU, the Federal Government recently came with a new position that they can’t pay more than 50 per cent; an amount that has been reduced to 80 per cent by the union. Between December and January 2011, the union suspended its industrial action over ASUU/FG agreements. Within the period, the union had series of meetings with the Federal Government. When the strike was suspended two and half years ago, there was a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the union headed by a team led by the Federal Government. In the memorandum, the Federal Government agreed to inject some fund to uplift the infrastructure in the university which they never did.” At the NEC meeting held at Olabisi Onabanjo University, 51 of the 53 branches of ASUU unanimously agreed to embark on an indefinite industrial action based on popular referendum held across states and federal universities. We do hope our government addresses the i ssue promptly.” File photo: Students of one of the higher institutions in the country protesting. ASUP’s grievances ASUP has maintained that it embarked on the industrial action in its bid to call government’s attention to improved conditions for polytechnic staff and the provision of learning materials and equipment, as well as improved infrastructure for institutions. Rising from its 74th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, held between June 26 and 27 at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, ASUP declared the continuation of the strike, insisting that the Federal Government must implement the agreement reached with them in 2010. According to its National President, Mr. Chibuzor Asomugha, the union has been agitating against the non-constitution of Governing Councils of Polytechnics, Monotechnics and Colleges of Technology; non-release of white paper of the Visitation Panels to the Federal Polytechnics, non-commencements of the NEEDS Assessment of the Nigerian Polytechnics and the non-creation of a National Polytechnics Commission (NPC), which it preferred to the National Board for Technical Education (NBTC). However, at the state chapters, the union has attributed its disruption of academic activities to failure of most state governments to implement the approved salary package (COMPCASS) and 65 years retirement age for academic staff in polytechnics. This is even as it decried the decrepit state of infrastructure/ teaching facilities in most state-owned polytechnics, monotechnics and colleges of technology. Recall that the union had sometime in May 2013 given government a two-week ultimatum to meet their demands or witness total downing of tools by them. With no positive response from the government, the union made good its threat, which has lingered until the time of filing this report. Barr. Timothy Oluwalogbon Ogunseye, ASUP chairman, Federal Poly, Ilaro said; “We are saying the Federal Government should bring to life the National Polytechnic Commission. We want NPC as against the current National Board for Technical Education which supervises not only polytechnics but also technical schools which are sometimes equivalent of secondary schools. Secondly, we are saying no to the integrated polytechnic pay roll system (ICPS) which they are trying to bring on board. We are saying that if the university can enjoy the grace of autonomy in this area, nothing should stop them from extending it to the polytechnics. *Education Minister, Prof Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufa’I We had an agreement between the Federal Government and our union which was signed in 2009 and clause of the agreement was that there should be a review every three years. Our union had since 2011 informed the government that it will be due for review February last year to set in motion a machinery to constitute the panel to look into the review of the agreement but up till now, noting has been done. We are calling on the government to embark on the general needs of the polytechnics as a whole so that our needs can be properly identified and met. We are also asking the Federal Government to increase funding to the system. We realised that inadequate funding in polytechnics is hindering a lot of progress in the polytechnic system. In respect to some states, we are insisting that the Rectors appointed are not actually qualified. Schools such as the ICT Polytechnic in Isori, ICT Polytechnic, Ijebu-Igbo in Ogun State have that problem. Also, the Federal Government has embarked till 2019 on what it referred to as fortitude migration for senior academic staff in the polytechnic. This should not be limited to the senior academic staff, but should cut across board. We are asking that the Federal Government as a matter of urgency, should hand over to the polytechnics the white paper on the visitation panel to the polytechnics. Stakeholders speak The president, Education Rights Campaign (ERC), Mr. Hassan Soweto, while reacting to the strikes in the sector said; “This ASUU strike, in addition to the already existing ASUP strike proves that the entire education sector is being shut down. Our concern, however, lies with Nigerian students. To bring an end to this, Nigerian students must support their lecturers. We strongly support the decision of ASUU and ASUP. “There is no way we can expect quality from teachers if they have to teach class sizes of about 100 or 200 students, a far cry from the 35 stipulated by UNESCO. All unions in the education sector should come together to fight for the education sector. They should not just make it a quiet strike, but should embark on protests and rallies around the country. Even when the demands of these unions are met, government has the responsibility to earmark more funds and adequate support to ensure the future of education in Nigeria.” Condemning the Federal Government’s seemingly sluggish attitude towards ending the ASUP strike, Soweo said; “I do not believe that the Government has been discussing with ASUP in good faith. If the government wants to end the ASUP strike in the next 24 hours, they can, but they must admit first of all that the issues raised by ASUP are fundamental issues, and consider them. There is no other way to get the attention of our government, or to bypass the bureaucracy in the Federal Ministry of Education than through civil disobedience and mass protests.” Students, who are undoubtedly the most affected stakeholders in this unfortunate situation, also lent their voices. According to Sylvia Mark, a student of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Lagos, the strike has been a painful experience. She said; “We had just concluded our second semester examination when our lecturers embarked on the indefinite strike. We are yet to see our results, and this makes me feel very bad.” Following this industrial action, a cross section of polytechnic students have berated the Nigerian media for non-coverage, leading to lack of public attention. One of such students who did not want his name in print said; “The fight for recognition and government’s attention to Nigerian polytechnics must start from the media. If the media had from the beginning given full media coverage to the agitations and peaceful demonstrations of the staff unions, comprising ASUP, SSANIP and NASU, the Federal Government would by now, have taken drastic measures to resolve the pertinent issues raised by the unions, towards the growth and development of polytechnic system and the nation’s education at large.” - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/07/ASUU-asup-strikes-ground-varsities-polytechnics/#sthash.u7uQvTfI.dpuf

I believe giving the local government full autonomy will make the LGA to do more at the grassroot level. And these might reduce the number of ghost workers at the grassroot, with more development at that level. Let's hope politics will not play a role here. |
It was a sad and unfortunate story when I heard about a woman who works with a state government for 35years and retired as a director some few years ago. After her retirement, she started working as a teacher in a school as the head mistress. She was the head of the school and was working for some years now. Only for the woman to break the silence that they only pay her 25,000 naira only. It was because she was beginning to become frustrated and that is why she decided to break the silence. Well this article will show you some tips that you can do to change all that. How to be rich with a job is from sandalili.com for a better way of becoming financially free. It’s not a new thing that most people will tell you becoming rich is 90% possible when you have a business. Which is true, but not everyone is interested in building a business. That is not to say that an employee won’t be rich when all they have is a job. Well these article will show you how you’ll be rich having only a job. However, this is not a get rich quick scheme, but can be achieve when you have a workable plan and follow it genuinely. Below are some of the tips to help you be rich. How to be rich with a job 1. Learn about financial education This is your first step. First you need to learn some basic things about money, business and investing. This will give you insight about how money works and how to invest it. Financial education, gives you the financial IQ you need to move from financial point A to B, to know what asset and liability are and so on. Spend some time to read about money and investing by buying books, CDs and videos that teaches you about financial education. Also attend some classes about money. 2. Plan your investment Now plan your investment. These should start by asking questions like, what will I invest in and how will I go about it. When you have a clear investment (s) in mind, then write a workable plan that will work for you. And stick to your plan. When you notice it’s not working, you can review your working plan again. 3. Pay yourself One you get your paycheck, pay yourself first. That is remove the money set aside for investing.in his book, the richest man in Babylon, George Classon gave a formula that will help you pay yourself first. He said, it is proven that you remove 10% of what you earn and invest it. Keep doing it every month. Make it a duty that no matter what happens, you’ll stick to paying yourself first. 4. Invest for cashflow and not capital gain Invest your money in an asset that keeps bringing in the cash. This is the basic difference between the rich and the poor. Let me use the example of a land to explain what I mean. When you have a piece of land you bought at N30, 000 and after five years the land value is N1, 000,000, and you sell it, you’re after capital gain. But the wise decision is to rent the land out, and every month or year, it keeps on bringing in money, means you’re after cashflow. Cash flow makes money coming in always and never stops as long as you hold on to the investment. 5. Reduce your expenses We all love good things and what life can give in other to enjoy life. But many workers love acquiring things that create more expenses for them. Things like car, generator, satellite TV are some of the things that keep on taking money out of our pocket always. They’re good things, but you need some investment that will take care of the investment in other for you to reduce the expenses. All am saying is, buy asset first and use it to finance your expenses and that will make it easier for you. 6. Start your own business Maybe you can take the bull by the horn and start your own business. But if you want to go on this path, you’ll need to learn more about building a business. What a pity. We're experiencing another ASUU strike. Maybe this is another transformation agenda. But let's hope the issue will be resolve soon. |
Personal finance is for everyone, whether you’re young or old, male or female. Poor financial lifestyle have let to more financial challenges to many senior citizens after retirement. For many, life after retirement is the beginning of financial trouble with only few are enjoying a financial free life. The saying “what goes around, comes around”, is true. Meaning if we don’t do what is expected at the right time, history will repeat itself. For instance, when you have a job, your employer responsibility is to pays you, but you’re responsible for making yourself financially free thereafter. Below are some personal finance tips for beginners that help you in your quest for financial free life, not today, but for life. These are practical guiding steps are not arranged according to other of importance, as all steps are important. 1. Get Financial Education Begin your journey by improving your financial education. Unfortunately, this form of education is not thought in the normal conventional school. The idea of money is supposed to be thought. The ability of knowing and reading financial numbers is what financial education is all about. Whether you have the whole money on earth, without financial education, you’ll lose all the money. Financial education teaches you how to print your money legally and how to make money work hard for you. In other words, sound financial education leads to financial freedom, while poor financial education leads to financial scarcity. This explains the reason why most lottery winners end up broke after winning the lottery, because they don’t have financial education. Financial education is the basis for financial freedom and a healthy personal finance. From the way you spend money, will show whether you’ll be rich or not. Example, if two persons are to spend money, the person with financial literacy spends his cash on materials like books, CDs, videos on how he can multiply his money and the second person spend his money buying the latest cloth or shoe in town. The tendency of the first person becoming rich is higher when compared with the second person. 2. Get Assets And Not Liability Most people are confused about asset and sometimes confuse a liability to be an asset. After going through several definitions of an asset and liability, in my opinion the best definition was given by Robert T Kiyosaki, the author of rich dad poor dad. His definition is, an asset puts money into your pocket and liability takes money away from your pocket. The ability to acquire more assets is key to financial freedom. Assets help you to control your expenses. In other words, with more assets, you’ll have more money coming into your pocket and your expenses can never out shine your pocket. 3. Utilize many opportunities Taking advantage of the opportunities is vital in your quest for having a life of abundance financially. Opportunities come usually in the form of problem and when a solution is provided, money is made. And the money that will be made is dependent on how valuable the solution is solved. Opportunities are everywhere and all you need do is to look from your mind’s eye and take advantage of it. Personal finance is all about you. How you go about it matters a lot.
