chic2pimp: I'm sure you know the phrase "British Jobs for British workers"? I insist they'll still be a bias towards the British workers unless the Foreigner is clearly better than the British candidate. How you think say Ibime dey get all Hin High Profile jobs? That one no mean for my field otherwise Indian workers for never flood the entire industry. N.a. only jobs that require soft skills like speaking English wey brits dey do. Australians, Yanks, Indians and most annoyingly Ghanians dey drag with me for my field. And the less said about the polish the better. |

neighy: rashford in this current man city setup will not just rot.. Coupled with a coach that doesn't have confidence in you I'm not concerned with the reasons why Kelechi is bench riding. All in saying is that Kelechi is not tested. He is still unproven. He has only about half a season of real football under his belt. Such a person cannot be trusted to top strike for Chelsea. Gabriel Jesus was playing week in week out in Brazilian league. He was top striking for Brazil as a country. You can't even compare the two in terms of experience. Experience can't be bought, and Kelechi does not have it...yet. |

dopeJemi: which team in this world have a world class striker and yet still feature a teenager in the starting line up week in week out in that same position while the world class striker sits out
you are making it seem like he is not good enough that's why he is not starting at city, he has pulled of a dybala and mbappe in the league more than I can remember when he had his chance
maybe if Chelsea had let lukaku play, you guys wouldn't be trying to get him back for 100million Rashford and Lingard are getting regular game time in Manyoo's attack. Rashford especially is too great a talent to let rot on the bench. That's just it. If you don't play, you rot. And Kelechi is currently rotting |

vantage001: Kelechi is going to leave. Hoffeneheim will snap him up if the rumours are true and i pray so. The difference between Mbappe and kelechi is one has a consistent opportunity for playing time at the highest level. Guardiola is an eccentric anyway. This is the same guy that sold Ibra at the height of his powers. I have learnt not to rate players based on guardiola. I haven't said Kelechi is bad. Far from it. But if you're not playing, you're not ready. And he's not ready. Not yet. Ask 33m Batshuayi |

dopeJemi: the same lukaku y'all are yearning for also didn't start for Chelsea, or is it KDB?
blame the coach, kelechi has started and scored on many occasions so that coming in as a sub thing doesn't really hold up If you're not starting at City, go out on loan. Even ordinary Fifa and Pes if you don't play for long, you lose your ability...how much more real life? Last thing we need is a striker trying to get to grips with playing again after spending months in the wilderness. If you like him so much, take him to carrington |

lordfalcao: so who am I to blame that he can't bench aguero and Gabriel Jesus.. Because as good as he is, he should never be third below aguero and jesus
Your second paragraph said a lot about him which means he is best as coming in as a SUB.
At the bolded, with martial iheanacho and lingard as your front three with zlatan coming in from the bench, you can win the league with 13 points Not just Jesus and Aguero, but KDB has been preferred at 9 this season. Even Nolito. Kelechi has fallen behind. I can not in good conscience back his signing. |

vantage001: You are underestimating the fact that kelechi has been exposed to higher quality football for much longer. Even if he is not playing regularly, he is training with some of the best players in the world, aclimatizing himself into the game at the highest level and learning under a football purist who is frankly one of the best around. Tammy Abraham is in the championship scoring regularly. Big deal.? I don't think so. He is not doing anything different from Bamford and where is that guy now? I don't even think tammy abraham is gifted enough to grace the city attacking bench. Higher quality football doesn't mean much. The likes of RLC and co have been training with the first team for yonks with nothing to show for it. Gametime is how you improve. Apart from Messi and Ronaldo I can't think of a single top striker that was prolific at youth team level and brought that to senior football - the levels are different. Look at the current top 4 and their strikers, and try and identify one that wasn't playing regular football at age 19. Infact, stretch that to the top 10. The period between the age of 17 and 23 is crucial to the development of most strikers. That's the age where they find out if they can do it or not. Of course not everyone will make it, but that's where it happens. If you're sitting around on the bench, you're standing still while your mates progress. |

Chelseafan1: Seconded! But I do not think its late for Kelechi, just a season shouldn't have affected him such that he wouldn't turn up in Chelsea next season.
Lukaku suffered more than Kelechi in the hands of Mou but that didn't stop him from doing well at Everton, I think if you got it, you got it. Lukaku dropped to West Brom and Everton to get solid game time and was netting 18-20 goals a season playing with the likes of Chris Brunt and Tom Cleverly Kelechi is good yet, but don't forget that he also had the likes of Silva and KDB behind him when posting those numbers. Can we honestly say he can do the same with blind donkeys like Matic behind him? I don't think so. I like players that have be tested in the heat of battle. Real battle. Forged in the white heat of a season or two of real men's footy. Let's see what you can Do first before you enter first team. Tammy Abraham for me first over Kelechi Iheanacho. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Nihilist: 11:10am On Apr 20, 2017 |
Chelseafan1: I have not seen Abraham play, Kelechi has played UCL I think, for City and did well. As a young player, if you're not getting regular gametime, you're regressing. And that dude is not getting regular game time, whereas Abraham is playing week in, week out and netting on a regular basis. That's what I look for in young players, performance over regular gametime. Look at Ake for example and how his progression has ground to a complete halt, to the point where Alonso got injured, and Conte would rather play Zouma at Right back and Moses at Left wingback, than play Ake who was on the bench. Gametime to me is the most important thing for a youth player, which is why I've always supported the loan system. I would rather buy Isaac Success than Iheanacho at this point in time sef. |

Chelseafan1: Kelechi has impressed the few times he got a chance.
Don't you think he has potential, can't be worse than Costa IMO Of course he has potential, but if it's potential we were looking for, we might as well just play Abraham or Solanke. Abraham is tested and far more battle hardened than Kelechi sef |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Nihilist: 10:25am On Apr 20, 2017 |
diggz: Lukaku for 100mil? That's madness though. Lukaku is definitely not worth that. However, the inflation in the market for EPL teams is ridiculous. Everybody knows there's money in EPL. If Bolasie is going for 30m and Stones for 50m, then 100m is the market price for a talent like Lukaku, abhorrent as it sounds. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Nihilist: 10:00am On Apr 20, 2017 |
diggz: I don't trust any of the names around for the 100mil! Not even fvcking griezman!
The annoying part is we have extremely few stand out talents available and in their prime to splash big cash on. This is the singular reason why I suggested we should scout for unknown talents to buy. I cant stand the torment of another fernadud saga!
I will prefer we buy kelechi for less than 30mil sef at this rate.
