I hope Jose can see that Zouma offers nothing offensively-can't trap, can't cross, can't pass, can't even shoot.

In the last two minutes of the game, the ball fell to Zouma inside the box with only one Stoke player marking him. Ivanovic, Azpi even Cahill would have attempted to create space and take the shot. Zouma passed the ball back out of the box.

Defensively, Zouma wasn't much better at RB either. Walters continued to breakaway in the right and cut in to shoot time and time again, and Arnautovic had the beating of Zouma all night long.

I'm not castigating Zouma at all-Right Back is simply not his game.

Regardless of what anybody here says, the team plays a lot better with Oscar in it. He was pressing high up, making tackles and creating space with his movement off the ball for Hazard to exploit.

It's not a coincidence that Hazard looked close to the man he was last term -although I thought his best work came when Stoke were already a man down. If he had scored his pen, Hazards confidence would have gotten a much needed boost. I just hope that the coaching staff can encourage him before the weekend. Minus the missed Pen, Hazard did very well.

Mikel bossed the game last night as well. I was impressed.

Costa looked hungry for goals man. That injury was a real blow. I earnestly hope he's fit for the pool game. We need that aggression back.

I'm still quietly optimistic we can get the right result against Liverpool. Their defence is wack. Their midfield is wack. Sturridge is injured and I hear Benteke is injured again.
