eph12: He had a lucky season so? Did he not almost relegate the club the next year when he was asked to replicate his performance?
Shekpe fans are the worst Nah hazard was injured for most of that season. A certain bag of beans on the other hand was so disastrously diabolically dire on the pitch, that he was once subbed off in a game he didnt start, and then subsequently dropped by another manager for Mikel Slowbi. And now that leaky bag of leguminous matter wears the red of mancunian scum Yeezus...you guys are the worst. |

Wenger is a real mad man. E be like say you never jam. Wenger that played a winger at right back, a right back at left back, and then played 2 leftbacks at centre back all in the same game... MaziOmenuko: Quite true; but whats not to admire? With new manager who is reinvigorating the team, he is a sure starter, on penalty kicks, some free kicks and corner kicks, captain and costs just 7.2mill (as at when I bought).
He is a sure value for money as compared to other strikers within and even above his price range; at least until he flops then we cash in the profit and move on to the next one. 4 pks in 3 games is completely unsustainable. Rooney is playing in central midfield and yesterday needed two pks to score one goal, and his assist came via a speculative shot from like 30 yards. I dont think thats value, i think Rooney's irish roots have manifested by turning him into a leprechaun on the pitch recently, but that luck is going to run out soon.... |

pkasso: I dey tell you. Looks like you've fallen on bad days. Mazi's winch strong no be small. Had a look at your team and our teams look kinda similar, especially that midfield. . which now explains my recent slump in form .
But no shaking, bro. It's a marathon, no be 100 m. The only way was down once i broached the top 1k barrier. I had mentally steeled myself for the eventuality, so when i experienced the first of 7 captain fails in a row, i remained stoic and steadfast in the knowledge that my picks were at least logical. Its a marathon not a sprint like you said, and im still very much in the running....for now.. |

MaziOmenuko: Lucky you. I am about facing the same dilemma this week. Mine is even more complicated: playing Rooney against Courtois, then at the other end of the post, playing Morata against Kenny. So in the same game I have 2 strikers playing against 2 at the defense. Form favors Everton but Fixture favors Chelsea so I have to find a balance.
Good, so let me change my bluetooth focus from Nihilist to you. Now I am wondering why you had to transfer in those 2 players for this next gameweek. Seems there is something you know that we don't know. Everton have had 4 pks in their last 3 games, which is why Rooney has been so prolific recently. I do not expect such luck to continue to manifest. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2017/2018 by Nihilist: 11:32pm On Dec 18, 2017 |
pkasso: So I've got two players in the Everton-Swansea game currently going on. Fabianski and Calvert-Lewin. One is a GK, the other is a striker, on opposing sides. The ultimate FPL selection dilemma. I can't have a clean sheet and a goal from both players as one obviously cancels out the other and in a worst case scenario i could still end up with nothing from both players. Tough, right?
But then, Fabianski saves a PK from Rooney and Calvert-Lewin tucks home the rebound . Talk about eating your cake and having it . I just crossed one task off my FPl achievement list tonight . Damn what a stroke of luck |

PietroRico: That's why I like football manager.
Just retrain one of Rashford or martial to operate from the right more effectively... Problem solved So who says Jose is not doing that in real life? The way Romelu ends the game making tackles in the left-back position: that is the mentality I want, |

#Bagofbeans....Just saying. Firstly he didnt make that many passes. Check the stats again Secondly West Brom battered Manyoo in the second half. If not for pdp denying a clear pen game might have ended 2-2 Thirdly, one of the games where Matic actually made around 100 passes this season was versus huddersfield...they lost. Its not by all that one. |

cedaraustine: You believe Zaha will impress beyond Palace? Chelsea need high scoring wingers/forwards. Is Zaha significantly better than Willian and Pedro?
He plays well and creates chances but do you think he would significantly better the current setup? Pls add his stats over the years to make your case. I think Zaha has the potential to exceed Wilians current ability by a considerable amount, assuming they're not already at par. |
