Eruditor: LOL, guy no fear. Because it is an advantage that is exactly why it is a talent - same way Hazard's dribbling is an advantage or KDBs passing. Only that while the latter 2 "talents" I described are technical talents, a player's height is a physical one. Remember;
1. It is natural or God-given. 2. It presents one with the capacity to do something with it.
The boxing aficionados know this but would rather play devil's advocate.
Notice how fraudiola is no longer being used this season as oft as it was brandished last time - the name has gone back to Pep. Even you are guilty of this
Men will arrange when the time is right. They are just butt hurt that I alluded that their beloved so-called WPOTY (so-called because he is not there) may be less-talented than KDB. Height is not a talent, it is a physical attribute just like dick length, foot size, nyash size etc. The word talent is a synonym for skill - and skills are things that can be developed with practice. You can improve your pace by practice. You can improve your jumping by practice. Your passing, dribbling, etc. You cannot improve your height by practice. And because you cannot improve your height, nobody will ever say Player A is better than Player B because of his height. When they say Player A is better aerially than than Player B, they are referring to the jumping ability which is trainable talent, not the height. Lukaku is 6'4 and notoriously poor in the air, Tim Cahill is 5'10 and was famous for his aerial ability. Ronaldo is 6'1 and Jumps higher 7cm higher than the average NBA player. Height is not a talent. L |

nateevs: If he went away and sat on the bench at the club in 20th position so far, does he get a call up? Probably. Lewis Cook has been sitting on the bench for Bournemouth for the last two years and got a call up to this same squad. |

nateevs: I don't understand. If RLC went to Palace and went straight to the bench, how does he make this moment? Unless you are saying GS would have called him regardless; which will just be funny.
21-year old players get called up for different reasons. Some based on exceptional qualifications, others based of shortage in options. Regardless, they previously put themselves in a position to receive a call in the first place.
RLC went to Palace and became a fixture. He's not Hazard flashy so he is probably not catching the eye immediately. But Palace fans are nearly calling him their best player so far because he is doing the simple things well How's that not deserving?
If you were busting your back side at work to reach a long-term goal/position and it comes early to you because of a dearth of available qualified personnel, would you call yourself undeserving? Being the best player at a club in 20th position on the log is not justification for an England call up. Not that he's even the best player for the Eagles sef. It was only when Zaha came back that Palace even managed to score a goal... But that's a different story. |

BTW can you provide evidence that Hazard was EPL top assist provider of 2012-13 and back it up with $100
Nihilist
WHat is not a lie is that the season both played in the league 2016/17 Kevin De Bruyne was EPL top assist provider with almost 20 assists while Hazard didnt make top 10 in assists an was dragging with Snodgrass and Puncheon 10% of total stake value in Boardman fees. You know the drill. |

nateevs: Before it's over, can I quickly compare Peter Crouch with Messi? Well crouch is more talented than Messi based on his height. He is also more durable than Messi given that he's almost 40 and still playing in the EPL Crouch is also more adaptable as he has done it on cold wet Wednesday nights at the Brittania, unlike Messi. As it happens, Crouch is also a target man unlike Messi. Crouch for Balon Dor 2018 |

nateevs: I believe I remember you saying something similar about Harry Kane. Look at him now?
1. Southgate managed 10s of kids at U21. He has not extended invitation to all of them, despite believing in many of them. 2. Rashford? Kane? I'm seeing Jake Livermore, Jack Cork and Lewis Cook in that squad...the latter two are debutants as well. How many of those U21 boys are playing in EPL? We all saw how Southgate quickly moved to call up Chalobah following his move to Watford. What had Chalobah done in his life to justify a call up? Southgate is short of options. He's also calling up the u21 boys he thinks could do well based on his experience with them. Otherwise what the hell is Lewis Cook doing at Wembley? I don't have any problems with Gareth choosing players based on his own criteria. Where I disagree is any attempt to say that the likes of RLC objectively deserved to be called up based on club performance. |

afrodoc2: Their width is by wingbacks so if we play wingbacks too that nullifies that threat, we don't need to play wingers to nullify it. Playing 3-5-2 gives us the advantage in midfield. This 2 vs 3 disadvantage in midfield was partially responsible for their struggles against Roma.
It just depends on what you intend to do in the match. With 3-5-2 we are more defensively solid and have the advantage in midfield, with 3-4-3 we have a greater attacking threat and have the advantage on the flanks. Has anybody seen this man? |
