When they say Player A is better aerially than than Player B, they are referring to the jumping ability which is trainable talent, not the height. Lukaku is 6'4 and notoriously poor in the air, Tim Cahill is 5'10 and was famous for his aerial ability.

Ronaldo is 6'1 and Jumps higher 7cm higher than the average NBA player.

21-year old players get called up for different reasons. Some based on exceptional qualifications, others based of shortage in options. Regardless, they previously put themselves in a position to receive a call in the first place.

RLC went to Palace and became a fixture. He's not Hazard flashy so he is probably not catching the eye immediately. But Palace fans are nearly calling him their best player so far because he is doing the simple things well How's that not deserving?
