I also grew up and lived close to their house in Awka. Wow, what a small world.
Newmum0615:
I know her! Like know her know her. I lived just beside their house in school. We attended the same university. Bookies, the whole lot of them. Popsie was former VC of my school. Nice. I like.

Congratulations eklektoss.
Eklektoss:
Long post alert ooo!!!
I have always dreamt of today . I give only God the glory for making it happen just like that ( snap fingers).

my timeline:
ITA- February 7th with 446
AOR- May 1st
MEP- May 15th
Ip 1- May 15th
Ghost update- May 24th
PPR- May 24th
Submitted thru VSF lagos- June 1st
Application approved- June 15th
PUM-June 26th
COPR(via vsf courier partner)- June 28th
No Adrs
Visa office- Ottawa

Application details: Dont have a thing for long write-ups but i got so much from this thread; this is one of the ways i can give back . Someone might need this.

Pof - used hubby's savings and gift deed from my brother. My husband did a bulk transfer and he wrote a letter of authorization stating that it was for our immigration waka( God bless @ ethelia for responding to my question on this). We also used 25% of his pension fund. We included:
• Gift deed ( prepared by a lawyer and my bro also did an affidavit to join d matter)did not add my brother's statement of account
• Statement of account ( hubby's and mine)
• Hubby's payslip toojoin ( oversabi thing shey? My dear, anything to clear their doubt)
• Letter from stanbic ibtc showing how much he is entitled to 4 months after resignation.
In all we had a little above N10Million to show as proof of fund which was alot more than we needed for a family of 4
Work history: got a refrence letter in cic format( claimed only 2 years work experience, cos getting from my previous place of work wasn't exactly easy), hubby also got his but it wasnt in cic format so, he drafted his job description and attached it. We explained in our loe the reason why it wasnt in cic format.
I also changed my noc code post- ita and used an loe to back it up( God bless you @ newmum0615 and many others that came through for me).
Ielts: ok, so we got our ita with a crs score of 446. Along the line, hubbys ielts expired and he had to retake, that was how he had 6.5 in writing. This dropped our crs to 444. Thankfully, the draw score at the time of ita was 442. So we included an loe to state that even though our crs has dropped to 444 we are still well above the draw score.

Loes: our loes were very simple and concise. I strongly advise that you make your words few and unambiguous.

Medical and pcc:qlife and inspector moshood ( paid 9,500 for hubby n i)

Vsf submission:My brother helped with the submission, and paid for vsf courier service for it to be brought to our address.
[b]
Things to note: Hubby n I have moderate travel history
• Both of us have been refused US visa before
• Hubby has been refused Canadian visa before.
• We didnt fill schedule A form and there was no Adr for it.

That's about all. The truth is, I cant say this was what we did or did not do that made our application super fast; it was just God's favour. Ofcourse, we tidied up the application well and made sure we were honest.

I bless the day I stumbled on this thread, its been my manual on this journey. It contains all you need and more... pls for people just joining, read through and through. @ ethelia,@ newmum0615, @ luffyhaki @glitteringstar and all the amazing people on this thread- You guys are all shades of awesome( cyber full hug) thank you and thank you. God will honour you for all to see. AMEN!

Thanks fifi
Fiona111:
I got there 7am and the nurse and secretary did not come till 8am .doctor started examination by 9am and spent minimum 30mins per patient so even though I was the third person didn't finish till like 11am then I was sent to go pay before lab and X-ray.
Payment and sample collection took another one hour and I was lucky to get a ride to the X-ray centre which surprisingly was located outside that big hospital.
I got there and waited for well over one hour before I could do the chest X-ray so I finished everything late in the afternoon.
P. S- ensure you take a cab directly to the hospital and keep the drivers number because you also need to get to PIX for X-ray. I didn't enjoy trekking from the junction to the hospital

Please what was your experience at Prime medicals,ph like?
Fiona111:
Being following this thread since April last year and am glad to announce that ITA arrived like a thief in the night yesterday. I did medicals at prime medical consultants in PH yesterday in anticipation of Wednesday draw but IRCC had other plans.
Although my experience at prime medicals was not the best waking up to getting ITA has rejuvenated me.

Hi everyone. I'm new here and i am still reading but i have a few questions but before I do that I would like to appreciate everyone for their contributions. There's a WEALTH of information here for FREE that you won't get any where else. Kudos!

I have started my Canadian migration process. I'm married with 2 kids, going with my family. I am the primary applicant with IELTS RSWL 7.5, 7, 7, 8.5 and my ECA from WES is Masters. For my husband, ECA is Masters and ielts RSWL 6.5,7,7.5,7. We do not have any relative and our CRS currently stands at 436.

Is this score sufficient to get an ITA? If not, What options do we have? Also my age will change by September.

Thank you.
Your crs score should be higher than that since you both have a masters degree. How old are you?

@hustler, congrats
hustler:
Arrived Calgary, Alberta early last month. Just wanted to share my quick settlement story. Weather has been relatively great. Got registered with Immigration centres and have received tremendous help there. Got a 2 bedroom apartment in the NW area for 1,300 which is ok. A friend helped me with securing that and I did not have to make payment for 3 or 6 months in advance. Just a refundable security deposit and first month rent. Like most have mentioned previously here, you will need a vehicle especially in the NW as small grocery shops and stationery stores are not easily accessible by foot. I got tremendous help with my Banking needs from a Nigerian working in a Bank. Free Banking for one year, 2,500 MasterCard limit with option of a Line of Credit etc. He says after the one year I can still transition to another free banking account without minimum balance if I want. He even helped to refer me to employers in the Finance Industry and one of them has even called me for interviews already and I only met the guy on an online forum oh. Also, like many have mentioned here previously you have to target your resumes to job postings. What else am I missing in my story? Anyways it has been a great number of days being here with no regrets (except that there is no suya here lol) . Let me know if you have any enquires I may be of help. Thanks to everyone who has previously dropped useful information here.
