striktlymi: The question I asked you is quite simple really, so I am struggling to understand why you have not answered it so far. For the avoidance of doubt, the question again is:it is officially stated dat d theory of evolution does not contradict d catholics teaching only dat it needed God's intervention for it to happen,d real reason why i asked dis question is because i have seen many catholics christians who considered theory of evolution outrightly wrong so does dat mean their pope can be wrong and fallible or wat does dat suggest. |
Yawn na today rubbish |
NAIRALANDERS PLS HELP ME! I AM NEW HERE PLS CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO COMMENT ON A THREAD AND ALSO IS THIS REALLY A THREAD OR WHAT IS IT CALLED TANKS FOR UR ANSWERS IN ADVANCE. NINJA4LIFE |

I am really trying to have hope in dis gej government but it seems he is not even interested in his duties as d president of d country and dat he is only interestd i engaging opposition for media war wat rubbish dis is affecting d image of d nigerian presidency and its sad |
I didnt really know dat we or rather dey christians are dis confused and dont know about d concept of God with each person bringing out different teachings from their anus, well i shouldn't be suprised |
Well let me guess f-r-o-s-b-e-l wow dats all |
But not even all christian scholars believe in creationism science well dats their lives dey got to believe wat dey want, have got better things to do with my life than give myself headache over religion |
striktlymi: Good morning ninja,ok are u telling me dat d pope of more than 1billion catholics is wrong in his assertion or anyting he says represents his own opinion cos i dont get u,if d president of nigeria believes dat granting amnesty to boko haram is d solution wont his stand be challenged if some people feel otherwise i have not read where catholics leaders come out to challenge the popes on their stand on evolution and wont it be safe to assume dat d infallible pope represents d catholics christian and have more knowledge about God dan d average catholic christian or am i wrong. |
Keneking: From what I can read these days, GEJ is working but the media is simply misinforming and misleading some of us with their agenda setting editorial policies.i'm i missing something pls point out where d report said anyting about gej achievement or does changing name of a university happens to be an achievement or wtf are u saying, let him provide equipment needed for learning in d school and not concern himself with useless renaming of unilag which does not affects d school profile.talk about misplaced priority |
Bottom line is dat no nigerian politician will reject dat huge amount of money to impeach a governor with corruption allegation, who d heck does he tinks he is talking to:kindergaten kids big fool he didnt even mention 30million rubbish. |
Abeg make he go sit down somewhere with his fucking god.if d loving god exist do he think he would still be alive to make meaningless rant on d media and also does he fear god to warrant him to tell others to,wen dey go to media announcing projects dat we never see d result we donot hear anyting now opposition is using d media dey are now shouting foul make him park well jor.i just hope gej admistration gets it right cos now till 2015 seems like eternity to me so he should fix our problem and stop responding to meaningless rants by opposition on d media, hopes he learn. |
FRESH AIR.i thought d igbos are enjoying fresh air since their son goodluck azikwe jonathan is in power or i'm i wrong.on a more serious note dis man should shut d Bleep up and stop disgracing my igbo brothers with his meaningless rant and anyway who d Bleep are those listening to him it seems dey are jobless.let him get his fact right igbos are not third rate citizen okay.stupid old cargo who have lost his sense with his relevance,if not for d rotten system dis man ought to be cooling his feet and eating bowl of beans in kirikiri maximu prison.rubbish |
What is UPN? as far as yoruba is concern, upn is a thing of d past. we are no more dwellng on the past, but we are moving forward.
why not give dem a chance at least to prove their worth u dont judge a book by it's cover now atleast dey have a right of forming and reviving any political parties dey want it is now left to we voters to determine whether dey really have wat it takes to provide good governance to us.remember if we had stuck to pdp we wont know dat we can get better performance from acn candidate so therefore i tink it's early to jump into conclusion.acn, apc, upn,lp,anpp are all welcome in d southwest to show their worth to d people except dat pdp.so cheers d more d better ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Well i thought we yoruba voted for jonathan so dat he can help solve loads of problems facing dis country but it seems d president in only interested in amala politics as some would call it.wat concerns d presidency over their fellow politicians aligning themselves to form a stronger opposition isnt dat d beauty of democrazy why do dey have to tell opposition wat to do or not with their personal ambition is dis d reason most yoruba voted for him dis is getting serious.if he is able to give constant power supply b4 2015 and can reconstruct major roads in d south west i'm sure we will vote massively for him like we did in 2011 but if he continues dis amala politics he is not getting anywhere.i think he needs to concentrate more on shaming d opposition with his achievement than just using an attack dog to engage in a media war with their fellow riff raff.my 2cents hope d president gets it right cos 2015 is a long time.goodluck to all grab my popcorn observing how things upfold. |
Wao nice trend so we will now be exporting methamphetamine to other countries isnt dat nice so add dat to bombs, babies, babies and now methamphetamine.hmm good riddance to bad rubbish.smh |
Why do some catholics nairalanders argue dat they donot believe in evolution dat its a delusion, does dat mean they donot hold their pope's word in high esteem or is d pope now fallible, pls i need answers. |

Billyonaire: It is folly to worship dead persons. It is ignorance that breeds that practice. The dead are not in anyway greater than the living. I used that 'prepare a place' connotation to drive home a point, that there are diverse heavens with diverse prophets, seers and Gods. When you 'remember' that we all where 'somewhere' before birth, and will go 'same somewhere' when we drop this physical body, then life is defined. Life is just a struggle for lessons and experiences that we need to live the 'afterlife'. We came here for a reason'. Whether you are atheist or theist today, it dont matter in the greater cosmic plan, cos when you return back from school of life, it will finally dawn on you, if you passed through school and school passed through you or you just pass through school and school never passed through you.then it's also folly to worship jesus a dead man and mohammed a dead man cos shango is a king of d ancient oyo empire who fought and won many battles for d yoruba then he died by hanging but as usual people out of love start spreading dat he did not hang himself so he was immortalized and worshipped by many yoruba as a deity after his death so at least d yorubas of den saw his might and power there4 worshiping him after his death i see no much difference btw dat and d white jesus and mohammed who were both from middle east and are their hero thereby making people worshipping dem after their death so also is shango olukoso.do u get me now |
striktlymi: Can we have some quote from the good pope?of course yes.pope john paul II in an address to the pontifical academy of sciences on october 22 1996 said and i quote ''New scientific knowledge has led us to realize that the theory of evolution is no longer a mere hypothesis. It is indeed remarkable that this theory has been progressively accepted by researchers, following a series of discoveries in various fields of knowledge. The convergence, neither sought nor fabricated, of the results of work that was conducted independently is in itself a significant argument in favor of this theory.'' even pope pius XII acknowledged that biological evolution was compatible with christian faith although he argued that God's intervention was necessary for vreation of human soul. not only catholic church there are many other denominations dat have accepted d theory of evolution though some claimed it does not conflict with their interpretations of the origin of life found in the bible.so wat do nairalander christians esp catholics tink abt dis are d popes wrong or is he right, honest answer needed pls.if any1 is doubting d above google is ur friend. |

Logicboy03: I am an atheist and i was told that i will. Burn hell....so....smh for ur sophisticated ignorance dont u know dat heaven is real u need proof go and lit a candle place ur hand on it for 5minutes and see how it feels if u cant withstand it then u wont be able to withstand d fire of hell. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ SAYS MY PASTOR after asking d questions from him, nice answer isnt it. But i will like to ask my fellow christians since god is present evrywhere will he also be present in hell and why? Wont he be burnt again like d almighty jesus is killed outside his territory(heaven) would satan spare him or are dey even d same |
Religion delusion simple many people are into a particular religion not because dey wish but its wat dey are born into and brought up with so dey believe d promise of heaven and hell for not believing only few are able to really question those teachings while some are forced into religion because of hell its easier for dem to leave d religion wen dey know there is no hell or dat its just a delusion,am a living example. |
Yeah dats right nigeria is developing infrastructurally but let us remember dat its just a sector we still need huge investment in education, research and health sectors we need to start training kids how to be innovative from their young age we need to grow past religion and ehnic intolerance,we need real development,we need a good judiciary not d rotten one we have,we need constant power supply, pipe borne water, equipment for instituitions and hospitals,we want corruption erradicated, our want is insatiable but we nigerians should pls try as much as possible to make d country d best.dats a good development hope dey pay attention to our other wants goodluck to dem |
Its just like problem faced by economist:it depends on when, where, how and why.shikena |
People stil do my dear.. Not everyone is as educated as you are. You need to enter some places and see how far it is from the house to the nearest chemist, let alone hospital. Atleast they saw that the babies needed help and sort the help. Before you call the parents useless, try and walk half a mile in their shoes. If they couldnt afford 4000 naira, an Ante-natal she fit afford?! talkless of hospital bill.. Get real jor!
tanks jare even though dey also share of d fault dey cant be blamed entirely poverty and ignorance is really a disease dats why i will advise people not to have too much children than dey can take care of cos imagine d 3 babies didnt die imagine d sort of poverty and suffering dey are going to undergo wen d parent cant even get #4000 for treatment.we have a long way to go in nigeria and i believe educating dis people can solve part of d problems.those babies lost their lives in such a situation rip,i dont even know if i should be happy or sad for dem cos one cant predict wat d future holds for those wonderful babies |
Rip such an avoidable incident,d parents are caught unawares, may dem have d fortitude to bear their loss.i'm expecting some people to say dat its those witches from their village dat caused it. |
RIP great icon.i kind of agree with okija juju why waste long time just to bury d icon why?pls dont tell me its d culture of d igbos because most of we africans hav lost our culture, tradition and religion so dont make a fuss out of dat,is christianity a traditional religion of d igbos?NO but now its their religion so why do u practise it?:let d man be buried and laid to rest cos d tradition we ought to follow we do neglect it d unimportant ones like wasting long time b4 burying d dead dats d one we practice pure rubbish.btw i'm a yoruba and its also common among us except SOME FEW muslims. |
