I often wonder and ask ''why do God try His own?'' God loves us His creation,yet HE still subject us to trials,why? Knowing fully well that HE created us as imperfect as possible, Yet HE still exposes us to trials that reveals our weakness, HE chose to expose our imperfections through this trials,why? Is it to shame us or to glorify his perfection above us? No doubt HE is perfect and HE willingly chose to make us imperfect just to assert His authority and to exercise His supremacy over us. Even though without trying us HE could still assert his authority and exercise His supremacy through natural events and happenings, Through eclipse,HE can triumphantly be gloriified, Through ocean tides,His supremacy will be acknowledged, Thunder sings His praises when it blasts during rainfall, Rise and fall of the day attests to His perfection, Birth and death of man alludes to His undwindling authority over man, Planting of a grain and its multiplicity during harvest testify to His mightness, Many other natural events do praise and glorify Him in numerous ways too, Subjecting us to trials will not add to or minus from His supremacy, HE loves us,HE cares for us,provides for us,makes things happens for us, Yet HE subjects us to trials,whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy  , ,To shame us or to glorify Himself. Though trials are not meant to kill or weaken us, But to gives us life and to strenghten us, Yet HE can still do these without trying us, But who can overcome trial without His support?Nobody, Only with Him can we overcome our trials, Without Him we are bound to fail and fall, Some have failed in their trying moments Some have excelled in theirs, But why did HE try us at all,why? Shopping A guy in a supermarket goes up to the cashier and places two cans of dog food on the counter. The cashier asks, "Do you have a dog sir?" "Yes" he replies. "Well where is the dog?" asks the cashier. "My dog is at home" replies the man. "To be able to sell you the dog food sir, I must see the dog. That is store policy", says the cashier. So with that the man leaves the dog food and leaves the store.  Next day the man goes back to the same store, grabs what he needs and goes to the same cashier. He places two cans of cat food on the counter. "Do you own a cat sir?" asks the cashier. "Yes I do", replies the man. "Well where is your cat sir?" asks the cashier. "My cat is at home" says the man. "Well I am sorry sir. Store policy. I must see the cat before I can sell you cat food" says the cashier. So with that the man leaves the store empty handed again.  The next day the man returns to the store and walks directly to the same cashier. He has a brown paper bag in his hand. "Here," he says to the cashier, "put your hand in here." bami:You mean just like late Tai Solarin's during his stay in the peoples bank and Wole Soyinka's in FRSC,these world acclaimed good guys were rubished while serving this country.Why?because they can't cope with the styles in the system.Do you think Tai Solarin forgive IBB till he died?No. It will take a revolution/overhauling of our system before people like Pat can work wonders if he becomes president otherwise his government will be rubished. Note what OBJ has been going through to execute this little overhauling that these pro 3rd term campaigners are now using to advance their selfish support for tenure elongation. The little did not come out of his been a good writer or a good farmer but came from his array of experiences,exposures,international statues and connections,his military background and understanding of styles and attitude of the entity called Nigeria. Anyone who aspires to rule this country should look behond been an intellectual or playwrite,proffesor or economist,the best these people can offer before the advent of a new Nigeria is to be special adviser or remain in the think-tank/strategic institute of the government. |

loma:Ioma,our style of politics in Afica is not yet ripe for pure intellectual of his kind.Been an intellectual is not a major ingredient considered in politics though it may be a plus sometimes. To be a political leader or politician requires more than just be an intellectual. I wont vote for him,though he is a manager and administrator of worth. Ioma tell him to come to class,where he will be properly groomed politically. |

''Birds of the same feather flocks together''.This statement simply connots total compatibility of ideas,intentions,interests and goals.Where one of these is missing the major ingredient will be lacking and so the birds wont flock together for too long before they begin to heads towards different directions. From the fore-going i would want to ask, for how long will these new brides and grooms who recently found love and came together to form a ''holy political union'' Advanced Congress of Democrats(ACD)be together? Are they truly politicians of like mind? Do they share same ideology,interest,goal and vision? Are they truly out to sanitize our polity or are they just feeding on the present political comatoes to gain prominence which has eluded them for some time now? If yes please analyse and if no i assumed you are simply saying that ACD is not truly the party of Advanced Democrats which of course wont be better off than PDP. |

Akolawole:My friend in 1999 baba was in AD and AD(Lam Adeshina) won in Oyo state. In 2003 baba moved to PDP victory moved with him to PDP as Ladoja won i don't care if they rigged the election or not. In 1983 baba was in NPN and Omololu Olunloyo defeated Unlce Ige of UPN. 1979,i was not in the country then so i would not want to say what i can not validate or defend. But Akolawole don't forget the major issue(Omisore), i just used baba as an example. Please where are you from? |

Akolawole:Akolawole,please dont misunderstand me,i am not saying Omisore's PDP won in a free and fair election but there is no any political gimmick that AD or these old politicians have not used in the past elections to ensure their political victory or are you saying that 2003 election is the 1st election to be rigged in Nigeria?They are masters in the act,my question is where were they when PDP was rigging the election right their in their home front. Does it mean that they no longer control those machineries or they dont have the financial strenght to procecute their intention?Answer me Akolawole. To me it is a simple reflection that these so called old politicians have lost control and can no longer secure the loyality of their followers.Do you think any political party will win the party of the strongman of Ibadan politics right their in Oyo state much less in his Molete district?Haba not in this generation. why? Because baba Adedibu is always oiling his political machines everyday and so when it is time to deploy the machines,it is readily available at his disposal. Akolawole,please ask how many times do most of these old politicians do such maintenance in their constituency.They only do it when they need your vote and after that you see them no more not until when they need you again.But it is not so for Baba Adedibu,Omisore,Saraki and few others.Not even when Omisore was in detention his political machines never got hooked as the maintenance services never stopped.You can go to Agodi prison to verify what am saying,Agodi prison temperarily turned to Mecca of sort while his tenancy lasted. He never for once lose hold of his followership at least not when he was in Agodi.But these other group believed that we get them when we need them hence their failure. Tinubu would have lost if he had not take his constituency oiled every now and then As for where i came from,I am a typical Ijebu-man not Osun as you might want to imagine. |

Akolawole:First and foremost,the Ooni is neither a kingmaker nor a politician so even if he wants him to be governor,Omisore still has to seek his mandate from the people of Osun state otherwise he would be a governor in the palace.Ooni's fatherly support may however be a boost for him,no doubt about that. Secondly,dont forget that votes from Ife/Ijesha constituency usually accounts for 46-53% of votes casts accross the state.This is the reason why every governorship aspirants always want to have robust political relationship with this zone.Out of this percentage Ife constituency alone accounts for 31-33% although the Modakeke people recently disclosed that they accouts for almost 20% out of this.Right or wrong i cant say. So if any politician has support of this zone then getting to the government house will only require combing in just 20-30% at most from the other 3 senatorial zones of the state.So if Omisore or any other politician is fully supported and voted for by electorates in this zone then ba komi i.e no problem.But this is the zone where Omisore is so scared of because of their higher political understanding hence his concentration on these other zones where he hope to make up for whatever shortage he suffers from this zone if at all they showed him their political deceitful finese. Both in Ila and Esa oke,PDP won all the AD aspirants,which reveals that these old political associates have out lived their political prominence.Have you forgotten that this same Omisore won Akinfenwa of AD in Esa Oke in 2003 senatorial election? Are you from Osun state? |

Akolawole you said he was molested at Osogbo recentlyand that from time immemorial, he has no grassroot support except Ife constituency. Too bad,you are far from political realities of Osun state. He was molested in Oshogbo by who?The pro-Oyinlola people of course. Why?Because they want to cut of his influence in the party,you know before this time he had stayed away from the affairs of the party in the state so his sudden re-appearance in Oshogbo they thought was targeted at re-lunching his influence hence his molestation,which was mainly championed by his own kinsmen from Ife. He knew their mission so he did not allow them to achieve it,this he did by remaining silent through out his ordel in their hands. Their mission was to drag him into combat with them so that they can start saying that Omisore has started again,but he voided their plan by ordering his supporters who were present not to retaliate. Instead he called the attention of the governor to the matter and was promptly settled. Dont forget that i told you that the guy had learnt a lot. For your information he is not enjoying up to 75% support in Ife but he is enjoying more than that in other parts of the state. Akolawole,please go and do your grassrot research on this to prove me wrong. |

Both the Christianity and the Islamic religions forbids telling lies,our traditional religion too frawned at it to such an extent that various penalities are put in place to check the act. To then say that people don't tell lies because of these penalities or because of the position of religions is like validating falsehood,as man is always in the habit of telling lies when need arises, Then why do people tell lies and how do u feel when u discovered that someone you trusted so much had lied to you? |

the problem will however be : once Obasanjo is gone who will assure that all the efforts have not been in vain? Nigeria does not need other Babandighas or Abachas who callously loot our country in the same grusesome fashion like Mobutu did in now war -ravaged Zaire. THESE TIMES HAVE TO BE OVER and GONE FOR GOOD i guess you are not asserting that there is no other better hand that can continue where baba OBJ would stop oh. Frankly speaking it is his type that realy fit this country,it is too bad and it sadened my heart that Idiagbon is no more that no non-sense man would have been a perfect fit after OBJ but GOD will see us through as usual. |

As critical as i expect every member of this noble site to be,it is still highly discouraging to read views that are not well addressed,opinions not well articulated and very watery comments from some Nairalanders. What Akolawole asked for is simple,has Omisore been dumped?For christ's sake which of all these views simply provide answer to this question? Too bad,some people are simply turning this site to children play-ground. Please it is hi-time this set of people put their thoughts right. Akolawole as regards what you asked; Senator Iyiola Omisore is in the National Assembly not just there he is the Chairman Senate Committee on Tourism and Culture,he is still spiri-politically an Atiku ally but bene-politically he is for OBJ. He is not sure of what will become of this 3rd term agenda hence his silence and middle course attitude towards the issue. The guy has learnt a lot you know that is why he is playing it low nationally while he is working assidiously to maintain his control over his grassrot constituency(Osun State). |

Akolawole,i appreciate your sense of assessment but it seems you are yet to have the full graps with the thinking attitude of many Nigerians.I have had it and that is why i have concentrated on my one man struggle and fight for whatever i believed in. No matter what,many Nigerians will remain cynically inclined towards anything that is not their own brainchild.While they dont have what it takes to make good impact,they are out there to destroy others that are trying their little best.They have shot the doors of all hope to themselves and so they dont hope for anything good for our dear country NIGERIA. The irony of it all is that they will do worse than all these bad leaders they talked about if they ever at all find their way up there. Ask them if they ever thought that the likes of El Rufai,Okonjo Iweala,Soludo,Nuhu Ribadu etc that are working overtly and covertly to move this country forward still remain in this country? There is no doubt that all our past leaders are thieves including OBJ but if one of them is now pretending to be a repentant thief then i can see a day ahead when a truly repentant thief or a perfect saint will come and prosecute all these old thieves(OBJ,IBB,ATIKU,ANENIH,KALU,BUHARI,GOWON,OGBEH,IBORI,etc). That time is very much around the corner when the fire they have ignorantly kindled will ultimately consume them.Then there will be no hidden place for them. Lets all wait and see. |

Sometimes i smiled at our politicians when they are taking steps that will give way to the ultimate distruction of their political ambitions.These steps they take due to their ignorance of the dynamics of Nigerian politics.Our politics is so peculiar such that there is no country in the world that can boast of having total understanding of these dynamics.Hence the cautious attitudes of the western powers towards the present problematic child i.e third term agenda. Why should Atiku write OBJ now after he had declared his intention in the public. Is this not another political miscalculation the like that saw late MKO Abiola to detention and finally to his untimely death. I just hope that Atiku has not by this latest act nailed himself to the dreamland. Is this step right or wrong? |

Any house built on falsehood shall definitely crumble whenever the truth catches up with. ''A yoruba proverb says ti iro ba lo logun odun ijo kan lotito aba''. Sorry if u dont understand my Yoruba Yoruba.Truth has finally cut up with them.When two people are forcefully wedded together forcefully shall they part when the time comes. It is not surprising to me,it is long over due. If you know what their party PDP went through in 2003 to wed them together you wont be surprised that they are parting now. I have been expecting it since Stella died but i think they were still paying their last respect to her and now they thought the respect is enough and they can now call it quit. Dont you know that Stella was the brain behind they percieved cordial relation.But now that she is no more the split has to come. Not even the whole CWC of the party can hold them together again. |

Oracle,, Dont mind Seun,I ve sent a seperate mail to him to inform him of this mistake. There was a problem on my keyboard when i was drafting the poem and as soon as i realised this problem i immediately mail Seun to delete the incomplete versions but to my dismay instead of deleting all the incomplete versions one is still left undeleted and that is the one u replied to. So it wasnt delibrate just a mistake that Seun was unable to totally rectified. |
