erico2k2:Which of the 5 series engine....production of the 75 stopped in 2005. Please post up a Rover 75 2003-05 with the BMW 5 series petrol engine |
erico2k2:Does the jaguar S type share parts with ford? Yes or No |
Oh dear! This thread has turned to a free for all. |
Exactly, it was a collaboration between Honda and Rover at their Swindon factory. Honda never bought over or owned Rover. There was also the Rover 800 series that was closely related to the honda legend. HeavenlyBang: |
More rubbish being spewed.... please when did Honda ever buy Rover? Are you also implying that the Rover 75 shared parts with the BMW? Please name the parts....I'm aware of the diesel engine but please enlighten us erico2k2: |
I believe the Bentley continental shared the same platform with the VW phaeton back then HeavenlyBang: |
@op the jag S type / X type were good looking cars back in the day and the V6 engine is remarkably smooth. Back seats are cramped for an executive saloon ....and more importantly they are dirt cheap to buy. Jaguars are notorious for their rapid depreciation I'll say buy it, but not as your first car or only car. Use it till it breaks down and get rid of it. |
HeavenlyBang:That's the tactic often used by those with weak arguments. Its obvious he has no previous experience or knowledge of the jaguar marque and his arguments are based on his range rover having the twisty gear knob feature. I was expecting him to also say TATA parts can also be used in Land Rovers and Jaguars |
erico2k2:Whenever you try and claim to be an authority on certain topics, it's best to also do some research. I always thought it was common knowledge that the jaguar S Type shared parts with ford, guess I was wrong. It's never too late to learn ....so here you go https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s-type-s-type-r-supercharged-v8-x200-15/confirmed-crossed-referenced-ford-parts-work-our-jaguars-faq-37066/ |
I'm pretty certain this particular jaguar shares more parts with a ford than a range rover. erico2k2: |
By now one would have expected our so called religious leaders to have set an example by offering their many branches as isolation centres but the opposite is the case. Their selfishness, covetous nature and greed will not allow them do so |
What is it with us and religion in this country sef? There are more religious institutions than hospitals and schools, yet people are still making excuses for wrongdoing under the guise of religion. Why does oyedepo not ask for his churches and places of business to open in the UK? Well, I hope they open the churches and allow them worship freely. I only ask that they are all documented and registered as churchgoers, anyone that catches the virus should be denied medical care from the hospitals and sent back to church for healing I wonder who did this to us |
No roads, no welfare, no healthcare, no security, no transportation so how exactly does he expect people to behave when its everyman for himself. Rest assured that any attempt to lock down a hungry population crippled by poverty for 2 months by the politicians and elites will be disastrous. They are only feigning concern for the masses now and see how indisciplined we are because this is not a problem they can run from or jet off to another country for treatment. This might possibly be the election we have always wanted. |
mayorkun101:Under normal circumstances the vet that sold him to you would have castrated/neutered the dog or advised you to if he was professional, so this issue of trying to breed mutts and passing them off as something else wouldn't come up. There is nothing wrong with your dog, by all means enjoy keeping your pet but not all pets are meant to be used for breeding. |
mayorkun101:Do not mate this dog period!!! Why don't you just wait and get a full breed rather than breeding mutts and destroying gene pools for no reason? Why do you want to mate this dog if I may ask? |
Wasnt sure OP was being serious at first, even with the pictures you posted you still want to argue that your dog is a pinscher or some strange way looks like one? Okay! It's a full breed German pinscher, good luck with your search for another full breed that will compliment your unicorn. You even cruelly docked the poor dogs tail because you wanted to convince yourself it was a doberman. |
xtremecr8:@OP why didnt you state this or answer questions you were asked so we could get a clearer picture, instead you called everyone that didnt agree with you an enemy or troll sent by First Bank. Now, I've come to understand that you are asking FBN for N25 million for the Logo design and N100 million for damages. You have every right to do that and even ask for more but this isn't the right way. You can't be asking for damages and still come online with this campaign, it should be done via your lawyers. What if they file a counter suit and site this very thread? In all my 11 years on Nairaland I've never had my account banned till I commented on this thread. The comment was also removed for whatever reason. I suggest you get in touch with a legal firm that specializes in IP laws, I will gladly even recommend one to you. All the best |
xtremecr8:You keep deflecting questions for whatever reasons best known to you. My conclusion is this, you are clearly on a mission to milk this situation for all you can get which is why the truth is not forthcoming from you. You and I both know that a one off fee for the design of a logo is in the 1000's or hundreds of thousands and certainly not worth the noise you are making. You are only doing this because its First Bank and not a small company or individual that has come to you for a logo design. I have worked on different well known brands and projects which included the design of logos that were widely used, what normally happens is the vendor is given the contract to print all the merchandise that will be used for the campaign I.e shirts, mugs, calendars etc You even said they gave you iPad covers to print. Did you get paid for the iPad covers? You won't say how much was invoiced and neither will you share correspondence so we know if you are truly being cheated. We all know times are hard and you must be thinking if you sustain the pressure they will finally bow and settle you. But don't come here and pretend that 1 logo design has crippled your business. Let's even assume you invoiced N1m for the logo , is it not better to meet with them and renegotiate so your working relationship can continue with them and N1m is surely not going to make an existing vendor burn bridges with a client. If you are claiming the money owed to you is over N1m then that means you also have an insider that wants a cut and is the one most likely advising you to go this route. (These are my assumptions since you have not provided details). |
@ OP the logo on the Sahara video used on the stationary is Gold while the one used by FBN is in colour. Did you make the adjustments and hand over the creatives/files to them or did FBN replicate it and added the colours using another graphic artist. Why do you avoid addressing the question whenever you are asked about invoices and cost of the logo? |
But that's not the question I asked Sir, we have established that you haven't been paid for the logo....yes? My question is did you invoice them? It seems to me that you didn't, hence the reason why you cant provide an answer. As much as I sympathize with your plight and hope you get paid for your labour but it looks like you want to charge in retrospect. How do you get paid for a job when no figure was attached or invoiced in the first place? What is the value placed on this job? You have every right to seek compensation since they used it without without signing off from you (which is where you have them by the balls) but surely even you understand that you need legal counsel for this. |
@xtremecr8 you've gone ahead to send these letters and other correspondence to other parties and now NSE, but at no point have you attached your invoices and stated the amount first bank owes you for the work done. Why is that a problem? |
How much is First Bank Owing you for this logo? |
I feel the OP is not being open with the details being asked. You simply cannot bring a case to the public court and not provide all the relevant information. Are you saying your business will crash because you didn't get paid for one logo? How much exactly is First Bank Owing you for this work? How much did you invoice them before commencing the work. Why didn't you get a lawyer to write to them as soon as they used your logo when you hadn't transferred ownership and rights? It doesn't look like you want to resolve this matter but rather continue this campaign so they can shut you up with big bucks. I guess you want to bill them N100million for the said logo and hit your payday. Someone rightfully said that you will find it difficult to work with other brands because you clearly don't want to resolve any conflict privately or even visit the very bank that owes you to hear them out or come to an amicable solution. I've also worked in the creative sector and worked on different logos for big brands and this has never happened. I Wish you all the best and hope you get true justice, doing business in Nigeria is not an easy task. |
Op has first bank told you to see them in court? Did you hand them all the creative's? You must have for them to use on all their platforms and materials. Again I ask, why have you not spoken to the legal team or anyone from the bank in regards to your pay? Letters/ mail trail and invoices will go a long way here. Since this is Nigeria and not overseas where logo designs can run into thousands or millions of dollars or pounds, I'm guessing your money should be no more than N1-2m. Unless you billed them as per foreign standards like Saatchi & Saatchi. How much are they owing you for this logo? |
@Op I think you are going about this the wrong way. Why haven't you gone to the legal department? What if they simply want to finalize on the transfer and ownership of the said logo before payment to avoid future stories. Like you said this is an IP and brand collateral. Did you state your payment terms? How long have you been owed. Sometimes when doing business with big companies you have to be patient in the collection of funds and not burn bridges. Other contractors use or borrow funds to execute projects and can wait up to 6 months before being paid. I will strongly advise that you take this down and engage with FB to at least know their stance on whether they want to pay you or not. |
I couldn't believe this when I read it the first time and had to come back to see it it was a joke. I've come to realise that one should never underestimate the power of poverty and laziness, it's a deadly combination. This guy will most likely harm his brother so he can inherit the property. If this tale is true then you along with your lazy wife are the most evil set of people imaginable. Move out of that house with your parasitic family and leave that man alone to enjoy the fruit of his Labour. Even with all the disappointment he faced you are not satisfied till you take all that he has left. I'm pretty sure this is over some humble property that isn't even that expensive, but your lazy self wants to Lord over it rather than working for your own. P.s don't trick him into going out with you to drink so you can ambush him. You animal |
MaziBillionaire:An astute businessman like yourself should know that not all vehicles should be imported. Even in 2006 I doubt if this vehicle could command this amount. This is what i would classify as a banger and worth about £150-300 (if you're lucky) or you would have to pay someone to take it off you for disposal. But since it's a LHD I'll be generous to add another £200 to it. If you get 350k for this car, grab it and thank the person buying it. Btw is there a particular reason why you're buying these undesirable vehicles? |
ayukdaboss:I doubt it, because he has another vintage Rover 45 going for an affordable price of 2m, for those that can't afford this one. Alas selling cars is not for everyone. |
Are you really charging over £5000 for a rover 45 Good luck with your sales |
