Sweetheart, the guy is a scam... He prophesied that Timipre Silva would win second term against current Bayelsa governor. He even used the rain that fell that night to buttress his prophecy as blessings from "god" to Silva who attended his crusade.. We all know how it ended..

A young man was arrested on charges of rape after allegedly raping numerous women because he is bored, police said.

Anambra State Police said that they have arrested 26-year-old Uchenna Ugwu, after being accused of posing as a spiritual leader to lure women and rape them.

The suspect allegedly confessed to the crimes and said that he did so because he is bored.

According to the police investigation, Ugwu approached women and asked them to show him their bank’s personal identification number.

When they refused, he threatened them that he will inflict on them diseases with his spiritual power. The women were then taken to a prayer house, where they were raped.

Ugwu begged for forgiveness, saying that he was now a changed man. Ugwu was charged with kidnapping and rape.

The police in Nasarawa State on Saturday confirmed the killing of one Yusuf Salihu, 28, by another man in an apparent tussle over a girl friend in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.

ASP Ismaila Umar-Noman, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident when he spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lafia.

"We received information on April 22, that some youths in Akwanga mobilised themselves with cutlasses, knives, among others, to revenge the death of Mr Yusuf Salihu who was allegedly stabbed to death by MrAlias Sadam on misunderstanding over a girlfriend.“

"We quickly sent our officers to the area to investigate what was happening and on reaching there, our men discovered that one Mr Yusuf Salihu was stabbedat his back with a knife by one Mr Alias Sadam and he died on the spot.

"The police have already commenced investigation in to the matter as the suspect is on the run.`I want to assure the family and the members of the public that the police will do everything human possibly to bring the culprit to book,’’ he said.

Umar-Noman said that the policehad since released the body of the decease to the family for burial.He also said that normalcy had returned to the area and urged the public to always give vital information to the police in the interest of peace.

He warned youths against taking laws in to their hand and advised the public to report their grievances to the appropriate authority for necessary action rather than engaging in violence.Also speaking, the uncle to the deceased, Mr Tanimu Haruna also appealed to the Police to apprehend the suspect.

A school in Australia, is being criticized for prohibiting girls from participating in running competitions for fear of losing their virginity.

The shocking claim was made against an Islamic high school in Melbourne, but school officials denied that girls were being banned from running to protect their virginity.

Officials in Victoria, said that they will investigate allegations by a former teacher of the Al-Taqwa College that principal Omar Hallak ordered the girl to stay away of the competitions.

Hallak said that girl participate in a full range of sports such as basketball, cricket, hockey, tennis and netball. Other recreational activities include rope climbing, hiking, archery, golf, volleyball and table tennis.

Girls are encouraged to participate in all activities, subject to parental consent. Education Minister James Merlino confirmed that an investigation was underway and said that he was concerned about the allegations.

Merlino said that he can cut funding to the school if investigations discover problems with discrimination.
