If Rangnick comes certain players might struggle to adjust to his style. People like Martial, Greenwood and Pogba might struggle while Lingard, Sancho, Fred might flourish. Even Ronaldo is not ideal for his style but he is the GOUT so can't be dropped.

Martial can fuvk off, looks like Pogba will leave soon, so I really don’t care. I really worry for Greenwood, he needs to be ready to run around and press, thank God he is still young, he can easily change that aspect of his game.

They did not influence Mou’s actions. Also, they were coaches for a few months under Mou. Carrick - 2/3 months, McKenna - 5/6 months. So we can’t conclude that they were trainers under two managers. They were under Ole!

You are indeed missing something. Carrick and McKenna were managers under Jose and Ole. That is 2 managers. Keep them under the next manager and that is 3 managers.

I said if we keep them under the next manager that would be 3 managers i.e Jose, Ole, and whoever the next manager is. And i mentioned Carrick and McKenna not Phelan.
This is quite significant cos our main complaint here has been obvious training deficiencies not tactics per se. We now want to keep those trainers for the 3rd manager.

Carrick was a player under Jose, and McKenna was a manager for less than 6 months under Jose.

Well, you are right, they failed big time, but to right things, they need to be strategic.

Carrick, McKenna and Phelan were not part of the crew under Jose and LVG na. Or am I missing something here? McKenna joined a few months before Mou left, Phelan was appointed when Ole joined, and Carrick played under Jose.

I know, but there is no assurance na, if he gets an extension after performing well, no problem, just make sure the extension is not more than 1-2 years so he can easily get the sack if things don’t work out. Offering a 3-year contract to Ole and even renewing did not make sense at all, and I don’t think they would repeat that mistake.

On a separate note, Valverde is kinda desperate, so he will take an interim job to prove that he can do it and will def push for a 2-year contract later. Tuchel is a top coach that was managing PSG, but he got an 18-month contract at Chelsea even though he could have asked for 3 years.

The model is not man Utd’s. I am saying that they could and should adopt it because:

1. The back room guys just got their contracts a few weeks ago, will be expensive to replace them.

2. The model is generally less expensive, provides more flexibility, and could aid consistency.

Well, they made that mistake with Ole, I don’t think it will repeat itself. An interim is an interim, if he does well, give him a year contract, it’s not expensive and there is a lot of flexibility.

We can’t continue to give managers 3-year contracts and then we are stuck because we can’t sack them. We need to be prudent o, else, we will become cash-strapped like Barca and Juve.

Also, we can’t sack Ole’s back room staff, they got their contracts a few weeks ago. If we sack them, we will be in trouble financially. We need a sensible and experienced manager that will work with them, not one that will bring a new back room team.

It’s an interesting model, maintain a back room staff, and change the head coach every now and then. We can’t afford to be sacking everyone everytime.

Valverde is okay for the interim role or a one year contract. Let’s do trial and error to win trophies abeg. Valverde will come cheap and even if he is expensive, he will accept a one year contract which means if things don’t work, he gets the sack easily.

We need to change our strategy abeg.
