Now that City’s investment is paying off they want to appear serious .

Please tell me that the Glazers have not bought players for all the managers they’ve signed. Some clubs buy players with less input from the manager, but ours even give managers the opportunity to point and kill.

That thread is nonsense. We did not need to spend more than any other club to achieve success in those five years because we had a very good squad (plus depth). Just ask yourself why we went ahead to succeed in Europe within those five years? Got to UCL semis 4-5 times in 5-6 seasons, got to finals 3 times between 2008 and 2013. Don’t tell me it was just about Fergie’s brilliance, because we did not do well in the UCL in prior years.

The thread is nonsense. Fact is the Glazers have spent. We matched City’s spending between 2013 and 2020, with less success because City got the better manager. We’ve had several superstars come and go, also hired other ‘quality’ managers in the same period. It’s really unfair to castigate them.

I will only blame them for not doing their best to get Pep. Very few managers guarantee stability and trophies. Since they’ve missed the train, they should continue to hire and sack for success.

Thank God the 18 months academic activities is gradually coming to an end. We will officially end it on February 10th. A journey you have all been part of. The next hurdle now is internship. Currently, getting internship has proven difficult. Everything academics seems to be difficult in France. Lol.
However, I am not losing faith. Will keep applying.

So if you have any link to internship in Nuclear Engineering, let me know. Being the kind of industry it is, we know it can be difficult as most companies would prioritize their citizens first. However, I am open to laboratories or companies anywhere.

I will continue posting the pictures I took in Switzerland next month. I do hope to have gotten internship by then. It's crazy. Lol.

I guess you have an internship by now. If you want to have a career in Nuclear engineering, Canada is not a bad country for it. You can try to immigrate ASAP. The industry is technical and a bit controversial (due to waste storage and disposal issues), but I can assure you that the fed and some provincial governments are backing the technology big time because it’s clean.

Know anything about SMRs (Small Modular Reactors)?
