This is a solid point. I don’t think he knows what he’s getting into. It’s going to be a long ride honestly. I am very hopeful though. If he gets it in 1-2 years, he will be here for a very long time.

INEOS have only overseen one window. Of all their signings Orobo is the one that seems to have disappointed the most. Mazraoui, DeLigt and Ugarte are all pulling in the right directions. If we get rid of the oldies- Eriksen, Case, bums - Antony&co, and bring in much better replacements, the squad would perform better - irrespective of who the coach is.

It’s almost as if success is 60-70% about the right squad and the rest is on the coach.

We’ve got too many underperforming players. Replace Casemiro with Ugarte or any other guy with agility yesterday and Hutchinson wouldn’t have scored that equalizer. We’re parading too many carryalongs, Rashy and Garna included.

Makes sense. Although the jury is still out on these players given it’s a new manager and new system. I thought we were going to buy for the long term and fit for a particular strategy such that the players are not deemed bums anytime a new manager comes on board.

We are going to draw and loss games as Amorim drills his style of play into this players. It's going to take a while for the players to get use to their positioning and what to do with or without the ball. Implementing his style of play fully is going to help us in the long run just like Pep and Arteta. If it takes losing and drawing 2 to 4 games to get us dominating like his Sporting side so be it.

Lol, I am sure losing 2-4 games works for everyone here. We are talking about consistent losses and draws. Moreover, if we go on a 5-game streak of losses and draws, everyone will start asking questions. with this set of players and the new ‘inflexible’ style, it’s looking like we will get there very soon. Hopefully not.

I actually pity him. Plus the press won’t let him rest. Sky and Roy Keane literarily got him to blame the players today including name dropping some. He is really young and I am not sure how he will be able to control the dressing room with the incessant cho cho cho.

He needs to say few words and focus on getting it right. English press is a shark.

True. I agree that we need to give him (and the players) time. Unfortunately, he needs to work with what we have while the change in personnel happens overtime so he can fully play his style. But we should not discount the fact that flexibility will be very important especially in the EPL.

In my opinion, probably try to start with it and make some updates as the game progresses. 75% of our passes today were at the back because we found it difficult to make any transition to the middle and upfront. We were pinned to the back by IPS which is not even a mid table team. What will happen against mid table and top teams?

Don’t even go there. Forget about PeP in this conversation. He was playing proper attacking footie. He only struggled defensively in the first year.

I do. Tell me which top team uses 3-4-3 in England. As long as other teams have many players in the middle, we will struggle. Even if we get the right players, we will find it difficult to dominate play, and only rely on the brilliance of one midfielder to open up an outlet for a forward play once in a while and three counterattacking merchants upfront.

No, I want a style that makes sense. Dominating and interesting, not some style that will have us defend everytime against any decent team.

I honestly believe 3-4-3 formation will never result in a dominating performance especially if opponents have many players in the midfield. We will struggle in the midfield. I see the ideas, it’s quite effective, deadly counterattacks etc, but we won’t control or dictate play against top and mid table teams.

I am really worried. We will get him players, but solely relying on 3-4-3 won’t do us good. Hoping Amorin has other options.

Agreed. Don’t switch. But we are really struggling to move the ball from the back to the forwards. Too many passes at the back with no outlet to the middle and front. Every team will come at us. Also a bit worried about the formation/style, very few managers have used it successfully in England. Maybe Conte, but it’s always defensive.

This does not make sense sha. We should be on the front foot, not defensive. Yes, the system is new, but we should try to be compact upfront, not give them the chance to be playing us like this.
