Look at Slot and what his boys are doing against City. He’s playing a 4-2-2-2 to choke the midfield and ensure City has possession mostly at the back and wings. He won’t play such formation against say Nottingham forest or Westham. That’s how to think and act as a manager. The players are not aliens, Trent is easy to play against but you won’t see Liverpool fans or even the manager complaining because they know it’s better to focus on his strengths vs weaknesses.
