The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has said the dramatic drop in the levels of non-performing loans and the structured growth of the banks in capitalisation, capital adequacy and liquidity ratio, are restoring confidence in the economy.

Yes there is a dramatic drop in the levels of non-performing loans because the banks are no longer giving out loans and industries are dying. But of course a Boko Harmish I.d.i.o.t. like him wouldn't know that. Would he? Mtshew.

If places like Ibafo, Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Iyana Ipaja , Ikorodu , Ajah, Iba, Igando axis et al are excluded, what's the best one can do that's not too far from mainland Lagos? I'll appreciate your comments/suggestions. And the land is needed to put up a personal house. Thanks.

At this stage in Nigeria's economic life, it's only a fool or undiscerning person that will not know or acknowledge that Sanusi is the greatest mistake that has happened to Nigeria's economy in recent times. All these international awards he is receiving, what do you think it's based on? It's based on all the noise he is making while junketing around the world, Nigeria's economy is in doldrums and the mallam just goes around making noise about the banks and churning out unrealistic policies time and time again. Our father's said you don't wash your dirty linen in public, yet Sanusi's single aim is seeking popularity by saying whatever enters his head when he gets up from bed. There is a forum for addressing banks, why do you have to publicize a liquidation threat on the pages of the paper? I mean the guy is just so annoying and un-enlightened. He is worse than the proverbial bull in the China shop he was once compared with. I pray GEJ has the guts to do what is right because i fear for Nigeria by the time this man spends his tenure of 5 years. Naija I weep for you.

The funny thing about many of you people defending Sanusi and even those persecuting him is that you are just arguing based on sentiments and yet you are on the internet!!!! Whatever you need to back up your point is on the internet, just google it up. I've attended a course on Non-interest banking before and the facilitators were Malaysians, yes the same Malaysia from which Sanusi is taking his prototype of the Non-interest banking from and in Malaysia, there is no such clause like you must be "sharia compliant". If my memory serves me well and I think it does what they advocate in Malaysia and even in UK for the person that mentioned that it is being practiced in the Uk is that you do not use the funds you are getting directly or indirectly for non-sharia compliant business. So I'm sorry to say, If the claim is true that a clause has been inserted that you must be "sharia compliant" to benefit from Non-interest banking in Nigeria, then Sanusi's motives must be called to question.
