Na wah o. So much venom all because u support different clubs? You guys should stop behaving like the common area boys who go about breaking each others' heads over matches that will not add a cent to their pockets.

Guys, I think we should give Drogba a chance, as some have already said, he's just coming back from injury and the guy's not getting younger. I think he just has to try to avoid getting injured till he can regain his fitness back. As for "Ant"nelka. I think he should be sold to a division 3 club to regain his confidence back. The guy's just a sorry waste of resources. angry Aston Villa, here we come.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by niyooo(m): 10:40pm On Oct 02, 2008
To all Chelsea haters, Drogba's only gonna be out for weeks n not months http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=578375&sec=england&cc=3888.

I only hope we are able to get something from A. Villa. LFS should try out some of the younger n hungrier for success guys than those frustrating pair of Malouda n Anelka. Anyway lets see how it pans out.

@ lalaboi, I think that feat may be a lil bit out of Hulls' reach, though they did beat Newcastle, but everybody seems to be beating Newcastle this season. Even Blackburn. Na real wah

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Do You Recieve Mails Like This? How Do U Respond To Such? by niyooo(m): 4:30pm On Sep 27, 2008
Mr foolish, stop giving Nigerians bad image

@ Poster,

It's pretty obvious that it's fake but my grouse with you is why are u assuming that it's a Nigerian that sent the mail? It says nothing about Nigeria in the mail so lets stop giving ourselves bad names. Other nationalities would also be involved in stuff like this but we keep allowing everyone associate us with it. It might even have been sent by a jobless, faceless white man.

Abeg make we respect ourselves small.  angry

@ Just2nice, Lets not get too overconfident. This guys held Liverpool to a goalless draw in Anfield. On the books it should be a straight Chelsea match but football is sure showing that it is no longer played on the books. I hope we do well today though. Up Blues
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by niyooo(m): 9:43pm On Sep 24, 2008
Chelsea 4 - Portsmouth 0. I think Portsmouth season is going down the drain pretty fast as well as Newcastle. They got beaten 2 - 1 by Tottenham. Those guys have to get their acts together or they'll be in Championship next season. Anyway Up Blues, never expected anything less.  cheesy

I think I'm finally up to date with the thread. Seems things have been a bit slow.

@ Opoks thanks, as per your enquiries, It depends on how you look at it. I didn't study a finance related course in the University, I actually did a science related course but I guess not too long after my Service, I decided to veer off a bit into the finance related line so I took up some finance/accounting related programs. Have actually completed about two now,(ICAN & CISA), CFA will be the third. I work in a finance related environment but I was actually posted to the HR dept. but that wasn't what I had in mind for myself so at least with what I have now, I've been able to get out of HR, I'm more in the operations line for now, though it's not where I plan to end up but it's all a means to an end, all short term plans that I hope will tie into the bigger plan.

As per searching for Professional certifications, I think it all depends on what you plan to end up doing, either on your own or as an employee, If you enjoy your current line of work and plan to end up in that line, then you should look for certifications that will fortify you in that line, if you don't plan to remain in that particular line then i think you should look for certifications that would tie into what you plan to end up doing. my 2kobo.

Work-life balance, what can i say? I'll like to throw out a few posers; In what context are we defining work? Is it in the context of being present in the office? 'Cos even those in the commercial banks that close so late atimes and claim to be "busy as hell" sometimes do not spend half of the time they spend in their banks as productively for their employers as they (the employer) would wish for. Some of that time is spent on the net, part of it is spent gisting and doing all sort of "things" that actually can't be called "work". So in the context of balancing the two (work-Life), do you classify the times spent in the office doing 'your own thing" as work or what?, We also have the case in some organisations where you can't leave before your boss, though you may have completed the tasks assigned to you in good time but you now end up just loafing around till Mr./Mrs. Almighty is ready to go home, (God help you if he/she is the type that has an unhappy home---make i no too digress), will the idle time spent waiting for Mr./Mrs. Almighty to feel like going home be classified as work?

Anyway, i think what constitutes a balance would vary between individuals and various factors would also contribute such as how much joy/satisfaction the person derives from the job the person is doing, other commitments that the person is committed to outside his/her work environment/job schedule, insecurities that the person might have about his/her job, the person's percieved relevance to his/her job, no matter how misplaced such notions might be, because nobody is indispensable to any organisation. And many other factors that will depend on each individuals circumstance.

I noticed that Anniffy is MIA, dumb Kenosky, please confirm by posting happy smileys that he has not been kidnapped yet.  tongue

Who chase Stan comot thread? Na kuwena with too many "I'm sorry's" or Jisi with her "drunken" posts?

Izi, you write well and make a lotta sense, keep it up.

Kuwena, you say you've decided to sacrifice all for money? Sometimes I read your posts and wonder if you are just typing to wind people up, to sound out your ideas or actually believe some of the things you type.  I believe you read a lot. Please go read up on all these so called "rich men" you want to be like and see if they actually had to go to such extremes to get where they were? And I'm sure if you read enough, you'll find out that some with the benefit of hindsight actually wish they had lived more and enjoyed the simple things of life that brings joy rather than sacrificing all for the pursuit of what the "Wise Man" in the Good Book called vanity. But I've come to realise that you are a very impulsive and prevaricative person and I know that sooner or later, you'll be back apologizing about one post or another, anyway I'll like to tell you that you only have one life to live and there has got to be a balance between everything, it's not about giving 100% to anything and thinking you are living, that would be a big lie, You'll merely be existing and not living. Life is meant to be lived so live and and go throw that 100% loyalty stuff (apologies Obj) where it belongs, in the trash can.  angry

This just occured to me, why is it that some people give their all to achieve something and don't while others playfully gloss over that same thing and achieve it easily? Is it because of "Gods' Grace"? (for those that are religiously inclined), is it fate? Is it just another trick that life plays on us all from time to time? For example, why did any of the 'thiefing' governors that planned to be the President of Nigeria not make it and the one that was already going back to dust his old books to go back to the chalk and board "your reward is in heaven" profession get yanked out to be the president? I have my own view on why it is so. What is yours?

@ all, have a nice night.

Aight. Thanks Aniffy. But I think whoever moved it should have indicated such. I know I've opened threads where I see something like moved to xxxxx or something like that. It smacks of arrogance and discourtesy for the moderator to just move the thread like that. My 2 cents anyway. Gotta go home now.

Can't really post now because work beckons but I'm wondering why I have to keep googling up the name of the topic on N/L before I can post? Why is the topic not listed on the job page? Has the thread been moved? And if so, where to?
