I was employed in a Telecom company and thus far, we use Linux OS, SQL Database, Scripting to carry out most of our jobs. I am a complete novice in this field, in fact, I studied a different course, but I desire to thrive in this field. A colleague suggested I take:

ITIL training
Oracle Database Training and
Project Management course.

However, I do not know where or how to go about this or if you guys have a better idea, I am open for suggestions.
I would be very glad to have your professional counsel on this.

If I remember correctly, after a test, you would be paired to a group to analyze a book titled; Who Moved My Cheese?. You can download it online). If successful, you will have a one on one interview with the Manager (a pretty woman).

The pay is around 70k...but the job is kinda stressful.

Well, the questions aren't difficult especially the maths part. Normal decimal, percentage, multiplication and addition. The English is also not hard for instance what is the synonym of TENACITY..

the process hasn't been concluded. Although, some have done two interviews, some (like me) have done only one and no one from both groups have been invited to the next stage (at least none from the few people I am in touch with)
