TV/Movies / Re: Post All TV/Movie Audition Notices Here by Nkc22: 9:27pm On Sep 15
Finally someone spoke up!

Thank you for this. I for one come here often to check for media job ads, unfortunately, it's become a dumping ground for audtions I doubt anyone is interested in.

Hi people,

There's an issue I want to address here, the spaming of this thread with amateur video shoots.

Many people rely on this thread to get information on audition notices around the country. Some even set their notifications to know the latest posts here.

So it's not cool that you're spamming this place with your videos. Yes I know, you're trying to get viewers. But there are better ways to do that rather than getting everybody annoyed.

Other threads can tolerate such bullshit, but not this one. This thread has helped many get into the industry without having to be scammed by fly by night video producers.

Infact, it was in response to a thread where many nairalanders were willing to pay to be in productions that I set this thread up to bring free auditions to nairalanders.

I have had the opportunity to meet many who benefited from the info here over the last 9 years in real life. So I won't take anyone messing this thread up like so many others on NL.

So content creators, if you don't want your efforts wasted, create your own thread or look for another thread that allows such. Otherwise, I will continue reporting you and you will continue getting banned, ok?

Thank you.

Romance / Re: Don't Ever Date A Broke Girl by Nkc22: 3:50pm On Jun 22, 2020
You for ask the men spilling bile here how many of them Mother dey Rich before their Papa marry them? This insane outlook on people's pocket na him dey cause gold digging and disrespect. The male Gender has lost its respect due to the rise in chewing gum boys... How women wan respect una?

Well, in a way, I may understand some of them because only they know where they are coming from and what THEY ARE RUNNING AWAY FROM, I don't. But personally I look for potential and I have learnt a lot to know that God expects a man to nurture, groom, water and build the wife of his youth..
Romance / Re: Don't Ever Date A Broke Girl by Nkc22: 3:37pm On Jun 22, 2020
Date a broke girl and establish her and make her financially buoyant.

no be every girl must be rich before Una fit date or marry dem.

Shey na every man dey become rich before him date and marry a wife?

if all girls have this kind of mentality too, most of some men would remain single till their dicks start having grey pubic hair and spermatozoa become decay and rotten - anyama! spits!

let's be wise and awoke. wink

old time mentality.

na girls I blame sef. na Una dey make some of us have this kind mentality.

Finally, I saw a post/comment that's quite soothing and comforting. The first three pages of this thread was a bit disturbing and worrisome for me because this subject is peculiar and sensitive..

At least, you spoke about an instance where the "broke" girl in question have some potential you as a guy can work on trusting that something good will show up... Someone else earlier stated that there are some qualities that make men even settle for ladies who seem broke now and that cannot be substituted for anything...Truth is, it is not EASY coping when she cannot even afford to buy data or some basic things, especially when it now appears those things are your responsibility automatically because you're her BF.. cry It's difficult and not every guy can endure!

But my strong conviction is, I completely seek to have a lady who makes some money but even if she isn't now, but she is trying hard to achieve that, I would give or sacrifice anything (not in the negative sense cheesy) to help her get there..

There are other KEY things to look out for...

I had to patiently read through all the comments in this thread and mehn, the feeling is indescribable shocked

A big thank you to everyone, like you brought back memories that moved me to tears. You mentioned virtually all the movies that made my childhood memorable and mostly scary. Was it;

Living in bondage? After I watched this movie, my dad was suppose to travel that evening but I cried and begged him not to because I was scared seeing Merit's spirit.

Was it Igodo, After school hours, Blood money, Nneka the pretty serpent, Rattle Snake(I remember when Peter spotted Hahana running like a snake after stealing)

I remember the Battle of Muzanga(Their funny hair cut), Oganigwe, Glamour Girls (I remember one of the men washing his wife pants or so), State of Emergency, Love without Language (Where Sandra's boyfriend was a fighter)... How can I forget Three Witches of Ishawuru, Taboo(Kenneth Okonkwo made this movie so scary for me especially one scene where he was matcheted or so)

My God, the memories is like nothing else. cry

While going through this thread I was able to get some of these movies. You can find the links below. Although, I couldn't find some that I really wanted like Highway to heaven, Rattlesnake, When the Sunset...Anyways, do have an interesting watch!

1. No, Nairaland is a successful social forum for all with no bias. A popular forum for all made possible through years of hardwork and innovation.

2. As in 1. above

3. The reports are taken as they come in randomly. I guess what you are seeing is a reflection of the true statistics in real life. You can of course send more true stories and incidents that you know of for sharing and for discussion

4. I don’t know but I believe the managers have noticed the aggressive and insulting nature of mainly non Muslims even in a mainly educational Islam topic. People will even claim to be Muslim so as to get a chance to curse and insult Muslims. The Muslim folk in general have a high respect and reverence for Jesus Christ ( Peace be upon him) himself a Prophet Of God and his mother Mary , the woman of highest virtue since beginning of creation, (may Allah be pleased with her). So true Muslims will never insult Jesus ( AS) or the Virgin Mary or True Christianity.

5. I am not part of mods , I have no idea who or where they are , the above are just my opinion based on common sense and years of observation on NL.

Hello Good morning...Since you seem to be very familiar with how Nairaland operates, I would like to know why a thread I raised last Friday on UBA massive sack of staff, a verified firsthand information was deleted or brought down...Kindly oblige me...Thank you
