Hello,
Very soon, I Will start hiring employees for my company. They are going to be paid well with the least salary at 50k down to 300,000 naira. So I have been wondering; by the time I start hiring, how do I do it? Someone recommended Workforce while another person said I should do the interview myself along with my board. What do you think? Which is better? because I want staffs that are good, willing to work, not afraid to fall and that can share in the company's mission. So which one should I go for? Personal hiring or through workforce.
Please Note; It is an online company meaning the staffs won't be meeting the users or customers physically. All they will do iss to sit in an airconditioned office and do their work on the company's laptop.

Lol. Oga, that job was frustrating, no skeleton underneath. It is the truth in its purest form. Infact, a host of others resigned after me. But this thread is not to discuss whether I am hiding something or not, it is to tackle the aforementioned conundrum. Whenever you leave you URL on any webpage, that means you have a link to your blog. If you leave 20 of your URL on different websites, it means you have 20 links to your blog...

Now, some links are weightier than others. There are two types of links (Dofollow and Nofollow)

Nofollow links are the most common. You blog link on Nairaland for example is a nofollow link and i can guaranty you that most of your links in other websites are nofollow as well. Google does not hate nofollow links. As a matter of fact, nofollow links are said to be part of Google algorithm that it uses to rank websites. Now...

Dofollow links are what google pays more attention to. if you have a dofollow link, it means you have what we call a link juice to your website. Google believes that "if your website can have a dofollow link, especially from a site with a Page Rank (PR) of 1 to 10, it means your website is respected."

Basically, what you have to do is to look for websites that allow commenters to add a dofollow link. Do it and you'll see the different. The more dofollow links you have, the better your ranking.

The only reason why blogs that copy your content will have a higher ranking is probably because you have done little or no Search Engine Optimization. The google algorithm is done in such a way that those who own content are given priority but that is only if they have taken care of the basics of SEO (On-site & Off-site). Just make sure you have submitted your site to google using the Google Webmaster tool. Also submit your xml sitemap. Then most importantly, get some dofollow links to boost your site juice and you'll see your site displace those sites that have copied your content.

The only thing I can give you excellent on your blog is the content. They are original and rich.

But your blog design is so plain and bloggish. If you can give it some professional face up, it would be an added advantage

Also, Google prefer blog to be design in such a way that users can get as much information as possible without scrolling down too much. Your homepage posts are just too much and the "read more" should be after about (highest) 60 words or less.

I doubt if you are on Google first page (if you are, good) cos without good traffic, your passion may take a nosedive. (How is your SEO)

I created this news and information blog last two weeks and today it is ranked on Google first page for the search word "npower volunteer network". (for a post I created for people having difficulty on the npower portal)

Such keywords is what your blog should rank, to really solve people's problem (which is your passion)

I have been working on my SEO for weeks now. Something is just wrong... I study my blogs analytics like its an exam, checking through the behaviours and conversions and bounce rate trying to understand what is wrong.

Will be taking a look at my robots txt tester today or tomorrow because I learnt that may be a huge problem too.
My indexing is good... 90% of my contents crawled.

Blogs that copy my content gets first page on Google and I dont. Sometimes I find myself on the 5th page.
Also my traffic is good.

I advice you in all humility to visit a hospital. Don't be sad nor feel bad. Life goes on. You should be above 18 so feel no shame at the hospital too. Stand tall.

I'm also afraid if you eventually leave this baby... Well I pray the baby is fine and healthy eventually.

Don't wait more days chief, visit the hospital and run a scan. Let her be taken care of and decide about what you want to do after confirmation that she is fine in her womb, abdomen etc.
