1.0. What could the NEW PHANTOM possibly bring to the table?
We all know Africa’s most preferred smartphone, TECNO, gives mobile phones users real value with top-of-the-range features on their devices. This new device will be no different. One of the things we can expect to see in the TECNO Phantom 9 is an amazing camera.
The TECNO Phantom series have always had great cameras, but it appears the new device will break all the records – three or four rear cameras, perhaps, maybe more. A better portrait feature and an additional security feature. But one thing is certain – users are in for a treat as the information reaching me suggests that the camera of this device is unlike anything I have seen before.

2.0. What kind of processor can we expect?
To be sure, something really fast. For a device we have waited so long to have, our minds may just be blown away with a 3.0Ghz processor! Wouldn’t that be awesome? But of course, anything even a little close to that would still be amazing.

I am sure everyone can’t wait. The New TECNO Phantom is long in coming. There were predictions last year that the new Phantom will hit the market, instead, we saw the Camon 11 and 11 Pro hitting the shelves at the end of 2018—the time the Phantom usually hit the market.

Expecting the new Phantom in early July 2019 suggests that TECNO is changing the calendar of the Phantom.

I think the new Phantom will be called Phantom 9. However, TECNO likes to surprise us. Perhaps the new Phantom will be called Phantom X, as I feel they might just skip 9 and go straight to X (10).

TECNO Pouvoir 3 Unboxing – The Box

The TECNO Pouvoir 3 is housed in a sleek rectangular white box with a picture of the smartphone and key specifications such as the 5000mAh battery capacity, 4G LTE and the internal storage capacity boldly written on it. The device is well sealed and there is a “CAUTION, DO NOT ACCEPT IF SEAL IS BROKEN”.

Inside The Box

Immediately you open the box, you are greeted with the beautiful device, it is sleek and slim as well but a bit heavy. This we think is as a result of the huge 5000mAh battery that TECNO has been able to craft into such a very slim profile.

The Design
It is a well-crafted device from both the back and the front. In terms of visual thickness, it measures about 3.8mm.

At the back, you have the 13MP rear camera, dual LED flashlight followed by the fingerprint sensor as well as the Pouvoir and TECNO branding just beneath.

The speaker grille, noise cancellation port and USB 2.0 charging port

The 3.5mm audio jack is placed at the top

The SD card tray can be seen at the left-hand side.

The SIM card ejector tray, volume controllers and the power button are positioned at the right-hand side of the phone.

In terms of display, the device features a notch cut out that houses the single LED flash, a 13MP front-facing camera, and the microphone. It uses an 18:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1440 *720.

The TECNO Pouvoir 3 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with an overlay ofn. TECNO’s HiOS 4.1 custom UI on top. The device will retail for N42,500 and can be purchased across all retail outlets in Nigeria.
