Brandonx:I want to apply for passport. That's the reason I want to do it now, so as not to propagate the mistake any further. Moreso, my baptism card have the real age. Won't this be a problem in the future? |
Pochettino:Like paying for my own school fees and still managed to finish with a good grade. If you had benefactor during your school time, you hardly appreciate how lucky you are. I'm climbing one step at a time, and first I need to resolve these inconsistencies. |
Pochettino:I do not see the world the same way as you. I have some accomplishments which I can be proud of. |
I have a big decision to make. l didn't finish secondary school in time. I was close to 21 years when I finished secondary school. When I was registering my waec, my elder brother asked me to reduce my age. I wasn't cool with that but my brother who had always found way to emotionally make me feel too old for my level insisted that I did it. He was telling me then that people my age were already in their penultimate year in university. He himself finished university early as he didn't have a pause in his schooling unlike me. I am intelligent and have been liked by my school teachers. I asked my mother for advice, she was against it, but in the end I listened to my brother. He did court affidavit for me, and I had to visit national population commission for birth certificate. Since then I have been consistent in making my info bear this my reduced age. No day has passed since after that changing I have not been haunted by it. I kept using this age, and the further I went the harder it was becoming for me to revert to my real age. I graduated 2019 and had finished youth service with the certificate bearing this false age. I'm 29 now, and 27 years with my reduced age. He wanted me to reduce to 5 years younger but I could only settle for 2 years less. A strong craving to revert to the original age came back recently, I started making steps but was afraid it might hurt my chances. Not in terms of jobs, but being admitted for masters program abroad. I had taken some steps to going back to my real age but it has not been encouraging. My university register told me that I couldn't possibly pull that off, unless my waec and Jamb have that my real age and I could possibly prove it was a mistake. He told me I have to live with it. I wanted to do age correction in my NIN but I was told that I would pay #15k through remitta. I had already searched for the cost of correcting age in my waec but it's tedious and costly. My monthly earning now is not up to 30k and I'm not even sure if I could get all the data to my correct age. I'm contemplating whether to go through with this as that would make me so happy, or continue with this consistent false age(the same age with my immediate younger brother). My birth certificate now has that I was born in one eastern state, my state of origin; instead of Lagos. Deleting this part of my history worries me. Similarly, I want my 30th birthday to be special and for me to proudly announce that I reached 30 years. I need advice on this. For my elder brother, he is a strong believer and much more mature now, he supports my effort to revert to my original age. Thanks. |

This guy is not serious. He should jejely come back if he thinks so. Let say $10 can buy a meal in US. Why can't #10 also buy meal in Nigeria? In Togo they can spend 700 unit of their money on food. This just illustrates that the standard of living is different in the different countries. China were able to gain exporting to US and Europe because their exchange rate is low like developing countries so that once they ship their products there it dominates the market there because the items becomes cheap. Imagine producing an item with the cost of 700 yuan which is close to $2. Can US produce this same item with $2 in their own country. Nigeria economy is so much influenced by foreign trends as it's, if not #10 should still afford some meals. This your comparison will justify some greedy people actions to make the cost of living here equivalent to that of US without considering the standards in these countries. Educate yourself before you make these comparisons. |
CXLVII:I'm not sure for now but about 4 years ago I successfully added my MasterCard to PayPal. Then the restrictions were not like nowadays I guess. |
ohwilly1:Is it a proven solution or just a suggestion? I used Barter visual card which is supported in Flutterwave platform but it refused to accept it. |
I need to create aws account real quick because of a job but I always get stuck at the 'input your card detail stage'. I have tried using my naira debit card to no avail, it's always telling the address is wrong. I would appreciate it if someone could assist me scale this hurdle. Thanks. |
Thinkfree:Why didn't you use the money to buy items like laptops from online store like amazon or ebay? If you know marketing tricks you can get profit over what you bought it. It seem like they know you are playing smart and refused to do the transfer to your bank account, in that case you convert back your money to crypto and use it to buy 10th generation core i7 laptop or other better items. When it arrives, you list it in site like jiji.com. I need digital oscilloscope, why don't you help me buy one if you decide to take my idea. Email me at nnamdiugwu@live.com. |
Grayoso:From your comment, you are the bigoted one, and filled with hate. I don't know why the hate. Have you seen average Igbo man in real life? If you had seen one, you will mostly likely see positive energy, nothing close to hate. I am telling you that where I am currently staying, which is north, Christians prefer Trump. I have some Yoruba friends, some of them are close minded and doesn't support Democratic party agenda. Pastors in local churches preached about doom electing Biden would bring. Some pastor in South-east was able to brainwash his followers and convince them to do a march for Trump and you are taking that as consolidation from the who Igbo people. Don't you know how people worship pastor's words in Nigeria. A pastor from South-west reportedly raped a woman from same South-west but the followers of his church didn't even give the story the benefit of doubt, all of them sided with the pastor even though he was using proxies to harras the one that accused him. I don't know which part of country you are from, but if I use actions of church in your area as a judgement of how you people think, you are not going to like it. This issue that Nigerians are too close minded to support Democratic party is more general than you think, and I have already told you a lot of my Igbo friends supports Biden. |
Simplyleo:Let gather the statistics of religious leaders that were in support of Trump all over Nigeria. Some top pastors across Nigeria supported Trump. If u do your research, you will see that this sentiment is spread out and not peculiar to any tribe. I challenge you also to compare both of us who is more active in favour of Biden. It was even reported in nairaland that a man from Anambra is in-law to Harris. |
I have been seeing some tribalistic comments in nairaland forum recently mocking Ibos as supporters of Trump, and that anybody they support is bound to fail. Whenever I see these kind of comments, I feel insulted. I skip reading comments out of anger. Let me clear people here. I'm even more angered because I have been very open anti-Trump from day one. I was very active in twitter since before this November election, all the time expressing my disdain for Trump and his policies. As a result, I got some American followers. I understood the implication of Trump effect, and I'm against extreme right wing waves he created around the world when he won his election in 2016, and even more appalled of his constant lying and cunny ways. Religious group organised a crusade in support of Trump in South-east and everyone immediately generalized these people to represent the mind of every Ibos. What people with this mindset doesn't admit is that many religious leaders in Nigeria were against Biden and his democratic party because of their gay and abortion issue. Again Nigerians are generally conservative and close minded, so they won't understand why a person's sexual orientation should not be brought into consideration. This fear against Democratic party in US is mostly general, it's not only Ibo issue. For instance, in this North-central state I'm staying, most people around doesn't fancy Democratic party at all. They even equated Biden winning as doom trying to happen. I have been trying to enlighten people around me, mostly from other tribes that Biden is eve more human and their fear is not real. Some of my friends in South-east jubilated the night Biden was projected winner, some were angry. I have Yoruba friends who doesn't care who wins the election. However, there wre some conspiracy theories among Ipob believers that Trump will give them Biafra. I don't know how this emnanated but I question the rationale behind it. Most Ipob believers dwell in conspiracy theories, which is a common thing between them and a lot of Trump followers. People have to know that majority of Ibos doesn't give a shit about Ipob, but they may believe at some level that Nigerian government is marginalising them. Ibos expressed reservation against Nigerian government for killing Ipob followers extra-judicially but this doesn't mean what they do is of much interest to average Ibo man. So, again you can't lump all Ibos as Ipob members and Trump supporters. Furthermore, look at most accomplished people from South-east and tell me who they may likely support between Biden and Trump, Chimamada for example. Usually, the more ignorant folks support Trump. In the end, Nigerians are not open-minded, some do to ignorance, some due to religious fanaticism. It's fair to lump people together in this way.

Some people were generally gisting about the spirit of lootocracy exhibited by many of our politicians when somebody pointed out that IF ONE EATS #50,000 EVERYDAY, HE WON'T BE ABLE TO FINISH 1BILLION NAIRA IN 50 YEARS. They not just embezzle 1Billion Naira but 2,3,4,....sometimes up to dollars like Diezani was alleged to have stealed. Greed is very bad. Just like Ghandi, I believe that we have enough for our need but greed. |
