waiting too.
I don't think the list is out,if it is let them post it.I dont know why people hate the truth,as it stands now all feasible date for release of the names as we anticipated after the selection board has passed. Please i suggest we forget about the list for now,NA may not likely ask us to come for training mid-november knowing fully well that in less than a month time people will start travelling for christmas. For now,the most feasible date for final shortlisting and training is mid-december,2016 and january, 2017,respectively. I also think that the only person that can give us a clue as regards to date of shortlisting is Samobaba in the other thread,we can all beg him to give us a clue.December and january is almost at the corner and personally i prefer next year so that we dont need to travel until sept./october passing out parade.

As it stands now,no one knows the date for the release of the list talk more of training resumption. All we are seeing here is mere speculations. But is most likely that training may resume january next year which is not to far from now................................Goodluck to us all as we await the list.

Those regular cadets that graduated recently did their pop without SSC cadets. My friend passed out in 2010, I went for their pop, I didn't see any regular cadet with them. I don't know where u guys got this from, that regular graduate together with SSC, clarification please, with reference. All the best house.
I want to believe you didnt do a proper research before you posted this,RC 62 and SSC 43 passed out september,2015.............just go to NDA website and click on videos, your doubt will be cleared. In other news i like to be very objective and realistic in every thing i put my mind to.That you opted for DSSC because your course was listed is not an advantage in training..........for goodness sake you are going to join Nigerian Army not Civil defence or Road safety. I know a lawyer that joined army and i can tell you that he passed through rigorous military training, you had better develop a liberal mind now so that you will not have issues when training start.................with the experience of some persons that went to NDA for selection board.....we should just get ready for any eventuality. My advice.........if anyone make it as either DSSC or SSC CADET please endevour to learn all that is thought especially the physical training aspect............this is because terrorist or militants dont know that you are DSSC/SSC/RC. Morever you can be in Supply and transport or Ordnance corp which entails that you can travelling around for military assignments. You might be in medicals who will be responsible for treating injured soldiers......

DSSC candidates should relocate to jigawa for military training abeg
Where will the corpers camp? The truth is that they are not ready,DSSC use to train at NASME Barracks,Makurdi and atimes in Ibadan.............I dnt think venue is the problem. Is very possible that resumption will be on the 7th of January,2017 as speculated by someone on this thread. This date is feasible going by the fact that NDA 63RC Passed out on 8th october this year,so if you check from january to october......it will amount to 9 months.

It is not about when we are to commence cadet training but rather it is about when will the final list be out to know if you are going or not so you can know what to be doing now. No matter when training will commence, if you are sure of going, you won't be worried. Right now, a lot of people are already missing other opportunities because they don't know if they will make it or not by the time the list will be out.
Thats just it,NAF even released batch B list in july so that those guys can get ready, though they later called all of them.If the list is released and your name is there,u will just relax, keep fit and wait till when training starts anytime they deem fit. The case of 2014 was different, here the list was released and later postponed to january 2015 for training, there was no complain since all men know their status.

I just hope this doesn't linger till January next year.
The way things are going,i am beginning to think that the training may likely be January, personally am not bothered when the training will resume but the list, this type of delay can give rise to many things, the delay is taking much time. Army use to release the final list three to six weeks of completing selection board but here we are two months from final selection board and still counting, even the last NA SSC 43 that was later postponed to january didnt take this long to be released. All the same let us remain positive and wait on them, next week is still very feasible remember they only gave us one week to prepare for selection board exercise,it is possible for the list to be released anytime next week and we are asked to report on 4th,5th or 6th of november but if the list fails to come out next week then we just need to find sometime doing because the waiting may take longer, remember 2013 first selection which stayed up to a year before releasing, I just pray we dont stay that long.

is current army retirement age 60 or 62?
Is not just 60 years of age, there is what is called Run Out Dates(ROD), It was approved by Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petinrin (When he was CDS). Here, every rank has age limit and run out dates or better still age on rank retirement, for instance if you remain a Brig.Gen. at 56 then you retire immediately and so on and so forth, once i see the details i will post here

1.RC officers hang the rank 2LT for 6-8 months while SSC officers 2 years. DSSC officers get the rank of LT when commissioned and wait for 3-4 years to get promotion to the rank of captain.
2. 2LT-LT =2
LT-CAPT =4
CAPT-MAJ =4
MAJ-LT.COL = 4-5
LT-COL = 4-5
COL-BRIG.G = 4
BRIG G- MAJ G= 4
3. as a newly commissioned 2lt EXPECT N130K plus
I stand to be corrected
.Thanks for the info.,but me i was thinking that it is promotion from Lt.Col. to Colonel and above that is 5 years because here promotion is now shared among the geopolitical zones to ensure even representation......i heard it from someone.

Thanks for the information, i can concur with the number of candidates to be selected, this is because while preparing to enter the board room at NDA Old Site, the steward asked me how many we were that is remaining from my state, i told her and she said 7 persons will be dropped that they need only 8 per state, but there is a possibility of fixing the remaining names in any nearby state within the same geopolitical zone if such state has shortfalls, in the case of south east, Ebonyi was just remaining 4,so there is a possibility of any south eastern candidate seeing his name there. For the south-south Bayelsa was worst hit by evictions right from day 1 of credential screening, infact almost half of them failed exam........ so any candidate from Niger Delta states can find his name there

Going by the passing out parade programm for 63 RC slated to hold on 8th october, and other celebrations to begin on 6th, it may not be possible for us to resume on 5th october since the venue of the one (on the 6th specifically) of the ceremonies to mark their passing out parade is to hold at NDA old site, though nothing is impossible
