Family › Re: Married From The Same Or Different Tribe? How Is It Going? by NNS83: 2:05pm On Mar 20, 2013
I for one think every marriage has its own challenges, so even if its a couple from the same tribe will not make it any easier. My husband is of a different tribe than me but I dont think that has made things any harder or easier. I just think that one should just listen to God concerning the partner you choose rather than parents. Only God will be there throughout your marriage.

Sports › Re: Adidas Jabulani: The Controversial World Cup Ball by NNS83: 10:43am On Jun 17, 2010
Complaints complaints, all these supposedly "top" players always complain if its not the ball, its the pitch or vuvuzela's or according to Ronaldo "top players should be protected by referrees" ! Where does it end? Answer is you cant please everybody.

The one complaint was the ball couldnt dip and bend and that was proven wrong by Forlan's goal yesterday even the commentators said so.

Most African players started their career in the dusty streets with supermarket balls and look where they are today.
Travel › Re: South Africa by NNS83: 3:07pm On Apr 06, 2010
Just came across this thread , big ups to RSA as im from Mzansi as well!! We generally focus on the negatives rather than complimenting the positives, which is why this world is the way it is.
Maybe its time someone in Nigeria post some ACCURATE positive stats so we can learn more from each other. But what I have noticed is how funny it is that Nigerians come to SA and within a month they think they know better about SA than the locals. undecided
I am planning on going to Nigeria this year bt I know that I cannot conclude that life is the same in Lagos as it is in Abuja or Ibadan.
Seems narrow-minded to me!
Food › Re: Women Do You Eat The Best Meat In The Pot And Keep Trash For Your Husband? by NNS83: 12:56pm On Mar 30, 2010
This is truly strange! I give my hubby the best even though there is 1 piece left, I would rather he have the meat than me.
My mother did it , so I learned from her. smiley

Food › Re: Are Nigerians Allergic To Any Food? by NNS83: 10:38am On Dec 22, 2009
I dont believe there is any nation that does not have allergies, my own classified under shell fish eg. prawns, crayfish, mussels and crab . I can eat normal fish but those ones make my skin itch, my lips swell and my throat gets scratch.
I guess if you are adventurous when it comes to tasting foods comes with its own pros and cons.

Romance › Re: Wife Enjoying Free Ride To Work From Her Male Colleague In Office. Advisable? by NNS83: 2:57pm On Nov 10, 2009
I travel with a male colleague and my hubby never has any issues about it because its a convenient solution for now.  And I love the fact that he trusts me and I know myself as a Christian I can never do anything to jeopardise my marriage. The guy good and also respects that I am married, mostly our on our way home we talk about work issues, ideas or i try to convince him to give his life to Christ.

@ poster - give your wife the benefit of doubt but I do encourage that you pray for her as well .

TV/Movies › Re: Depiction Of Nigerians In "District 9" by NNS83: 11:04am On Aug 26, 2009
i havent seen the movie yet, but 1stly Nigerians dont have a good reputation anywhere in the world. Though I know that not all of them are like dt. But my advice is stop pointing fingers and ask yourselves, is every single Nigerian making a good impression of your country?

2ndly in terms of Aids, i know of no country that has a zero HIV rate, yes SA its high but when looking at the maths obviously you cant have the same stats of a 40 something million population compared to 140 million !!

Last but not least comparing the movie industries , my take is Quality is better than Quantity smiley
Christianity Etc › Re: Meaning Of "No One Is Good Except God Alone" by NNS83: 3:09pm On Aug 13, 2009
God the Father , Son & Holy Spirit are One, and He is the God of Abraham, Moses and Noah and still is the same God. Read John 1 v 1 , it should give you some clarity.

God bless

I agree with Simmy.
I asked my Pastor about this passage about 1 month ago during our bible study and he said that Jesus was referring to Himself in the context of being human as He was in human form so in a way He could not claim to be good. Though HE is God but in the same breath He was man.
Events › Re: Wedding Planning Palaver. Pls Am I Wrong? by NNS83: 10:17am On Jun 11, 2009
U should have made a wedding budget in the first place, but yes if you are footing the bill then you have a say on what is spend on what . Finances can damage relationships, just make sure you both are upfront and honest.
