Klinee:Okay. I think you are trying to trivialize this argument just to score a cheap point. Suicide bombing is an act of terrorism. Terrorism is not a feeling. And a terrorist is a criminal. And now you're telling me that for someone to be indoctrinated into wanting to kill himself and kill others, it is a natural feeling ![]() Okay, for the sake of argument, let me say I'm open to the opinion that it is a natural feeling. Now when you said homosexuality is unnatural, we showed you instances of homosexual behavior in other species in nature apart from man. Now I'm saying suicide bombing is unnatural. Show us instances of suicide bombing behavior in other natural species apart from man to prove that suicide bombing is a natural feeling. |
FortifiedCity:If you don't use cream, there are people who do. You clearly saw the title to the post. You know you have nothing to contribute yet you just came to comment to show us that you don't rub cream and that factories that produce cream will fold if it's only your kind of person exists in the world. Now that you've told us you don't rub cream, are you happy with yourself? |
blogfornigeria:It depends on the cream and what he/she wants to achieve with it. |
Klinee:If that person has little or no education and is deeply religious and you teach him to hate people who are of a different than his own and you teach him that his religion is the Supreme and ultimate religion and you tell that person that if he straps a bomb to himself and goes into the midst of people of who are infidels and he dies during the blast and kills as many infidels as possible, that his place in heaven will be secured with several benefits, then he will strap a bomb to himself and blast himself to smithereens. That's how suicide bombers are made. |
UDUJ:This is so apt. A bottle of champagne for you. People are here talking as if everything in nature is either black or white. If people knew how much nature juggles with our genes and chromosomes to create an amazing variety of things just to satisfy her weird sense of humor, people won't be here trying to form like they know what exactly nature is doing. |
mhisbliss:LOL. I thought you are claiming to know everything. Simple psychosexuality that was thrown at you, you're now confused and you're asking what he is saying. Kikikikikiki ![]() |
ubunja:You keep celebrating your foolishness. You said if women can have rights, then gays too and then animal fvckers. And you think the sardonicism behind that statement is not obvious? It's a pity. |
mhisbliss:Are you okay? You are comparing homosexuality to suicide bombing because the same way a person becomes gay is the same way a person becomes a suicide bomber? Seriously, is something wrong with your head? |
ubunja:Yea. You're the sensible one. Have you heard of implied statements before? It is not every time that a person spells things out. Sometimes when you say something, there is an implied understanding behind what you say. For example, Someone asks a conditional question thus: "if homosexuality is unnatural, then what about animals that practise it?" and you reply that "animals practise incest too, should you join them too?" it means you are agreeing with the condition spelt out in his question but you're now presenting a course of action alternative to that he set out in his question. This is simple English grammar. Very simple English grammar. But obviously, you are mindless about what your statement implied. When you think and feel you are wise, be careful about who you insult. Go and learn English, bro |
mhisbliss:Oh! You wonder what went wrong with them? And after all your wondering, you concluded in your mind that it is a learned behavior. You didn't do any research. You didn't interview any gay people to find out how they came to be that way. You didn't study all the previous researches that have been done on the subject matter. You just decided on your own that it is a learned behavior. Was that not foolish of you? You're thanking God that you're not homophobic. What do you think homophobia is? Oh, you feel homophobia is when you are clamoring for their imprisonment and deaths? You are homophobic if you are using your own opinion about gay people to judge them without actually trying to see things from their own point of view. And you are indeed a bad friend. If Peter is really your friend and you knew he was gay, and you really wanted to understand why he came to be that way, 10 years + is enough time to do your research and come to the understanding of what it means to be gay. You're here celebrating your foolishness. |
mhisbliss:In other words, you're saying that the only reason sex exists is for reproduction? Can you listen to yourself? Why do you use condom during sex? Is condom use natural? Why do you use contraceptives? Is it natural? Why do you engage in oral se.x? Is your mouth a receptacle for the pe.nis? |
mhisbliss:Good. So we have agreed that homosexuality is not unnatural, right? |
ubunja:I am vomiting senselessly. Thank you. But the post I quoted before making my comment was the very second post you made on this thread. The first post was about equal rights etc. So please, where did your first text on animals and homosexuality disappear to and why is it not on the first page of this thread where the post I quoted clearly is? Senseless person calling someone else senseless because he himself does not understand chronology. SMH. |
This is a very scientific case. For those that say it is a societal problem that needs to be curtailed, please endeavor to tell us what the solution to the problem is. Bear in mind, that being gay is not all about who a person has sex with. It is all about who a person is romantically attracted to and it is all about who a person yearns to form a romantic connection and bond with. This is evident in the fact that there are many gay men who have sex with women and even married to women. And there are many lesbians who have sex with men and are married to men too. And there are straight men who also have sex with men based on whatever arrangement they might have, maybe for pecuniary benefits. And that doesn't mean they are gay either. So sexual orientation is not about sex. Bearing that in mind, mention all the things you think are the solutions to the problem. Tell us how you can stop someone from being romantically attracted to another person. And also mention where you have actually seen your proffered solutions bearing fruits. And also mention people who you know one on one, who claimed they used to be gay and after being put through these solutions, stopped having feelings for the same sex. (also bear in mind that a gay man can choose to stop having sex with men, that doesn't mean he has stopped having romantic feelings for men). This is a challenge to you all. It's not by making noise about natural or unnatural. Let's go there. I'm waiting. |
ubunja:Don't be shifting the main goal of the argument. Whether animals practice incest or not is not the issue here. The issue here is that the presence of homosexual behavior in animals is proof that homosexuality is not unnatural. Agree and accept that point before moving onto something else. Moreover, now that you mention incest, let's analyze that. If you are basing your argument on the opinion that homosexuality is unnatural and is just a learnt behavior in humans, then tell me this. Why is Incest, which is very natural and very rampant in the plant and animal kingdom, abhorred by humans? Why is incest kicked against by humans even when it is very natural? |
UDUJ:Yea. Correlation might not imply causation. But correlation implies that there is some form of connection between the two items correlating. For example, obesity is linked with heart diseases. It doesn't mean that obesity obesity causes heart diseases. But there is a connection. There is a link. You sound scientific but you are allowing your prejudices to somehow cloud your judgment. If I tell you now that obesity is genetic, you will gladly accept it wholeheartedly without further question sef. But if I tell you that homosexuality is genetic, you won't accept because you are averse to homosexuality and the thought of it makes you cringe. But in actual fact, studies for the obesity gene and those for the homosexuality gene are progressing almost at the same pace. Eschew prejudice and be open minded. That's the only way you can make any sort of progress scientifically. Nature is vast and multifaceted. She has always resisted any attempts to place her in a box. If you have any idea about genes, chromosomes and the amount of mutations that take place at our genetic and chromosomal levels, you will realize that, just like a child playing with pieces of Lego™, nature just experiments with anything and everything. And that is why there are so many varieties in nature. |
WORDWORLD:First and foremost, HOMOSEXUALITY is not just about sex. There are many homosexual couples that are not sexually involved. There are homosexuals who are virgins. There are many homosexuals who still have sex with the opposite sex and enjoy it even. When you understand this point and stop focusing everything about homosexuality on sex, then you will be better poised to make a headway. Secondly, those talking about homosexual behavior in animals doesn't mean they are equating themselves to animals. That point comes up when people like you try to preach about how homosexuality is alien to nature, i.e. unnatural. And actually, homosexual behavior is animals is very very common. Stop hiding behind your phone's keypad and go out and do your research properly. Don't limit your research to farm animals like cattle, sheep and goats. Do a proper and all encompassing research. The reason it might seem uncommon in your farm animals is that the main aim of sex in those animals is procreation. Those animals don't form relationships or any form of inter-individual bonds among themselves. Take your research to those animal species that form long-lasting relationships even till death, you will find that they have homosexual individuals and couples among them. In like manner, sex in humans is not only for procreation. So go figure. Finally, I don't expect anything better from you, as the African that you are. Just keep religion aside for a moment. What other argument against homosexuality do you have? Absolutely none. So your repulsion is based on your religion and for that you call scientists who are trying to discover if there is a genetic basis for homosexuality profane. It's not as if you have done your own studies and found results that countered their research. No. All you do, as the electronic warrior that you are, is to just sit behind your phone and call research findings profane. Are you OK? This your attitude is why African nations don't progress. In the West, when a phenomenon is observed, they put aside all prejudice and try to get to the root of why something exists or happens in a particular way. But Africans, if it's a good occurrence, we attribute it to God. And if it is a bad one, we attribute it to the devil. And that will be the end of story. No motivation for critical thinking, research and experimentation to find out why things exist or happen the way they happen. And then when the West publishes results of their experiments, we won't even task our own scientists to try and see if their results can stand the rigors of the scientific process. We don't task our scientists to see if their results are reproducible. And use the results of our scientists to either accept or refute their claims. No. We are too big for that. We just sit. If their results are appealing to our sensibilities, we applaud it and welcome it with open arms. But if the results insult our sensibilities, we just reject them and throw them away without further investigation and call their science profane. And this is why Africa is backward. More power to your elbow, divine scientist. At least, the profane scientists are making their studies known to the public. Where are the results of your studies, o divine scientist? |
WORDWORLD:So you are equating homosexuality with stealing? Is that how elite and divine your own science is? Common sense is not common, they say. |
ruffhandu:LOL. OK o. So we're no longer talking about how doctors are causing youths to abuse drugs. You have now shifted it to leadership of the NMCN because you have no facts to buttress your allegations that it is doctors that cause drug addiction. I will advise you not to derail the thread. But before that, I will also advise you to read the National Assembly Act establishing the NMCN. Read it very very well. In that act, it states that there must always be an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant as a member of the Board of the NMCN. The act also states that the Secretary General/Registrar of the Council is the Chief Executive of the Council. Now, let's see In 2012, the Secretary General of the Council was Mrs A. G. Yusuf. In 2014/2015, the Secretary General of the Council was Mrs E. C. Azuike. From 2016 till date, the Secretary General of the Council was Alhaji Faruk Umar. So who is Dr Abisola Clark and where did you get her name from? |
ruffhandu:Stop confusing yourself and your followers. You tell yourself you have so much information when you're really empty. Yes, I know someone can be a professor of nursing. Professorship is an academic position not a clinical position. This is simple. I don't understand why it is so difficult for you to understand. The highest position for a nurse in the hospital setting is either Chief Nursing Superintendent I or Chief Matron I not Professor. The highest position for a nurse in the academic field is Professor of Nursing and not Chief Matron. It doesn't mean that a Professor of Nursing cannot also be a chief matron. Just like the highest position for a doctor in the hospital is Consultant. While the highest position for a doctor in academia is Professor. It doesn't mean a consultant cannot also be a Professor. Get yourself appropriately informed, you won't agree. You just keep parading yourself with your ignorance and deceiving people. |
Wealthandjobs:LOL. First of all, you quoted the wrong post to say this your rubbish. See how you are just feeding yourself and your followers with deliberate misinformation. Maybe you need to go and consult your pharmacy professors in school. In Nigeria, pharmacists are not allowed to prescribe medications. Only doctors are allowed to prescribe medications. You can carry your head and hit it on the wall as many times as you please. That is how it is. You've not finished doing your own job and duty and you're trying to claim one of the duties of doctors. Tomorrow you guys will say doctors are suppressing you when it is obvious that you guys are the ones overstepping your boundaries. |
ruffhandu:Hahahahahaha. So much bile is in your veins. In everything I said, this was the only one you picked up. Whether it is Water Resources or Fire Resources, in the academic profession, the professor is at the head. For example, in a university, you don't make a non-professor a Vice Chancellor when there are professors around. Capisce? Please try and clear the excess bile in your system before it becomes something else. |
ruffhandu:The bolded part of this your post makes no sense. The doctor is not heading other professions. He is heading one profession. Laboratory Science is not a profession. Nursing is not a profession, etc. They are all branches of the same profession: health/medical profession. And the doctor is at the head of that profession. Every professional working in a hospital is a health professional and their profession is the health profession. And the head of the health profession is THE DOCTOR The Engineer and the engineering technician are all in the same profession. Not separate professions. And the engineer is at the head of that profession. In the legal profession, the lawyers and judges are at the head. In the academic profession, professors are at the head. It goes on and on. Why are you guys bent on upending things just to massage your egos? You guys hate doctors but yet all of you answer doctors in your informal circles. I have not seen any one of you that doesn't answer when called "doctor". All of you. Even cleaners. Yet, all of you hate doctors. What exactly is wrong with you people? |
asuustrike2009:Really? So a doctor prescribing Codeine or Tramadol for someone in pain who needs it is what will make the person abuse the drug? So immediately a person puts Tramadol in his mouth he becomes addicted to it? That's like saying that beer parlors are responsible for alcoholism, drunk driving and accidents resulting from driving under the influence of alcohol. There are processes by which addiction occurs. And medically, there are drugs generally known as drugs of addiction or drugs of abuse. Before a drug of addiction/abuse is prescribed by a doctor, he weighs the risks against the benefits. For example, a patient had an accident and is in pain but he also has peptic ulcer. You can't give him ibuprofen or Diclofenac or any other NSAID because they will worsen his ulcer. You have to resort to giving him non-NSAID analgesics such as Tramadol. Sometimes you might have to move up to Codeine and even Morphine. And most non-NSAID analgesics are addictive because of how they interact with their receptors in the body. But every doctor is aware of this addictive nature of these drugs and is always cautious when prescribing them. First, If this OP who is masquerading as a Know-it-all pharmacist knows anything about the pharmacdynamics and pharmacokinetics of opioid and non-opioid analgesics, he wouldn't have created this post. Secondly, he is not blaming his fellow roadside pharmacists and chemists that sell these drugs to these youths without prescription. He is not blaming them because he knows that they are the real culprits. They are the ones that hand these drugs out to these youths even when they don't come with a doctor's prescription because they believe they know more than the doctor so dispensing drugs with prescription is beneath them. But he will blame the doctor. That's what we see in the health sector. If everything goes well, everyone will collect the glory and may not even remember the role the doctor played. But once something goes wrong, everybody will blame the doctor. So that is it. You don't blame bars and beer parlors for alcoholism. The solution is for pharmacists to stop dispensing drugs of addiction/abuse without doctor's prescription. But they will not hear it. Tomorrow they will still come and blame the doctor. |
Ochek:You guys should keep on spreading lies. The ARD president of ISTH replied to this message on Facebook. Why didn't you post his reply? The news is on Channels TV. Maybe you guys will now say it was doctors that hacked into Channels TV systems and put the news there. The Nigerian populace are seeing you guys as the propagandists and clowns that you are. |
Amarabae:This one is propaganda too, abi? Or you're now denying your members?
|
I'm still waiting to see how doctors led to the abuse of Tramadol and Codeine by youths. |

This morning, news reached us at the accident and emergency service department of the irrua specialist teaching hospital, Edo State, of a mass casualty of accident victims along the ever-busy Benin-Auchi road. Sources gathered that 19 out of the 20 victims were members of the UBTH chapter of JOHESU, the arm of health workers who are currently on strike and have placed most government hospital facilities under lock-and-key. They were said to be on their way to a social function at Auchi. Thankfully, this is not the story at ISTH, IRRUA EDO STATE, as the hospital management along with the doctors who have been at their duty post for the past one month duration of the strike, have kept the hospital running at optimal levels. The Presidents of the association of resident doctors, the NMA Edo Central zone, medical and dental consultant association, ISTH chapter, alongside the hospital management have all called out their members to assist at the emergency room. The Doctors as usual, have all swung into action to cater for the casualties while trying to access the locked theatre for those who would need surgery. More than half of the casualties have varying degrees of fractures and dislocation. While a few of the dislocations have been reduced under conscious sedation methods, others may need the orthopaedic, plastic surgeons attention in the theatre under control by the anesthetic surgeons. We pray for the victims to have good outcomes and return back to their respective families. We thank all doctors for coming out, even those that are not on call-duty. Indeed, this underscores the statement that "BEING A DOCTOR IS NOT JUST A TITLE, IT IS A MENTALITY" This story is an exclusive from the secretariat of the association of resident doctors, ISTH chapter.

IamaNigerianGuy:In your bid to sound refined and civil, you revealed the depth of your ignorance. It will be to confirm that some people actually are low life forms?? Like seriously? Will that be your justification for clicking on the link? You didn't know about Bisi Alimi before now? And you will click on the link to ogle his pics with his husband just because you want to confirm he is a low life form? Like seriously?? And as to why you even think gayest people are low life forms all because they love differently than you? All major cultures and civilizations in world history have always revered people we know today as homosexuals - the Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Greek and even in precolonial Africa. Most cultures accord them almost equal respect as their religious priests. It is only Judaism with its daughter religions (Christianity and Islam) that have termed them evil just in the same way they tagged women evil and laid upon the burden of being the ones that brought sin into the world and caused the downfall of man. You would have known this if you had expended the energy you used in typing the above post in studying more about this issue and dropping your fake moral high-ground. But your hypocrisy will not allow you. Thank heavens you acknowledge that marriage was invented. Obviously the person that invented it to mean union between only a man and a woman is a heterosexual person. And with that in mind, what else would you want him to define marriage as. Apart from procreation, what exactly is the difference between a homosexual union and a heterosexual one? And if you argue that procreation is the main reason for marriage, that means you're saying that all those couples who are married but have no offspring are not really married. Let me not pursue this line of argument further for now. And onto your next statement, No one belongs to the closet. A homosexual has as much rights as you have. That he feels no love for someone of the opposite sex does not make him less of a human being than you are. You, as the heterosexual person you claim to be, you have no choice on who you develop feelings for. How hypocritical of you to think that you cannot choose which girl you get attracted to yet a homosexual can choose whether or not he will be attracted to a person of the same sex or not. That is bullshit. The same way you deserve to flaunt your love life with your girlfriend or wife on social media, that is the same way they deserve to share their love lives too. Lastly, nobody is rubbing his/her life in your face. Bisi did not come to your house to give you pictures of himself and his husband. He didn't send it to your email inbox. He didn't send the pictures to your Facebook messenger, whatsapp messenger, bbm, snapchat, Instagram and so on. He didn't post it on any of your social media walls. He posted it on HIS instagram page not yours. He is living his life and you're the one who is rubbing his life on your face. No child gets corrupted by seeing two men or two women kissing. It is you adults with your prejudices who corrupt this children with your words and attitude. Just like no child is born a racist. No child is born hating another human being for what he does. A male child who is heterosexual will not stop being attracted to women if he sees two men kissing. This has been proven time and time again. But your prejudices won't let your common sense gain the upper hand in your life. I pity you sha. You're here spewing bile on a man who doesn't even know whether you exist or not. Please get a life. |
LMAO Nigerians and hypocrisy are like 5 and 6. You guys definitely saw the caption on the link and even when you say you hate the man and how he lives his life, you guys still clicked on the link to see their pictures together and still clicked on the next link to see more pictures of them together yet you come here and be forming disgusted. I wonder if it is the God you people serve that encourages you people to be this hypocritical and have no joy in your lives. He is happy and enjoying himself and his marriage and you guys are here wallowing in hypocrisy and name-calling. Tueh !!! |
It is sad how foolish people are to call Igbos illiterates and rumor-mongers without even looking at prevailing circumstances. But what do you expect in a country where people are only interested in looking for ways of denigrating people from tribes other than theirs. It is really sad. First and foremost, nobody is doubting that the military has enough doctors. But what exactly is the military vaccinating the children for? Is it monkey pox? If it is monkey pox, and the military found the vaccine for it, why are they the only institution with access to it? Shouldn't the NMA have been made aware of their procurement of this so called vaccine. When Ebola was in this country, NMA was called to rise up to the challenge which is the right thing to do. When the scourge of polio was ravaging some parts of the North, NMA stepped up to the challenge. In any disease outbreak, NMA and other health associations and unions have always been at the forefront of disease-combating efforts. What exactly is the military doing? Nobody knows the exact origin of this monkey pox disease. Nobody has any idea how it came about. And suddenly the military that has been murdering people in the SE in the name of keeping the peace brings out vaccines that the Minister or Commissioners of Health in the affected states know nothing about and you want the populace to accept it with open arms? Secondly, why is this vaccination part of their killing operation? Inspite of their reassurances that the Python Dance was a peaceful operation, they ended up killing several unarmed civilians. And then after all those killings, they bring vaccines to vaccinate the children and siblings of those they murdered. And you expect that the populace should open their arms peacefully to them because they have come with vaccines? Thirdly, has any of you bigots heard of the terms, "due process" and "informed consent"? You want to vaccinate students. You didn't discuss this with and give prior notice of this to the schools involved. You don't discuss this with the parents of these students all of whom are definitely minors and get the needed consent from their parents. You just show up at the school premises with your vaccines. And given your history of human rights abuses and homicidal tendencies, you want to be accepted. And you guys are here calling the Easterners daft ? So many sick people in this Nairaland. It's a pity. And this is why we don't progress in this country. The Federal Government will do some evil and atrocious things and overturn due process in dealing with people from a section of the country and instead of coming out as one to condemn evil, other sections of the country will either keep quiet or hail the FG in their atrocities just because they were not affected. But what do I know? We are all wise in our stupidity and divisiveness. So let's all continue. |
