Thank you for saying the truth the way it is. Upon arrival, you vehemently told your aunty you won't do the cleaning. That is gross disobedience at inception. You showed yourself from the beginning. My dear stop playing victim, be humble and obedient. You still have places to go LordKO: You've a very bad character. Eschew conceit if you wish to progress in life. I don't care whether your aunt intentionally left her house dirty or not prior to your arrival there - I don't hold brief for her though - but the fact that you disobeyed her request to clean the house, out of conceit, says a lot about how bad your character is. Obedience is better than sacrifice hence more glorifying.
Citing your said conceited attitude a lone, I don't have any reason to believe that your aunt is evil as you've painted her - only her husband can make me to believe otherwise in this regard. |

You made serious sense. Thanks so much In4matic: That's a grave mistake you're making. Pls WORK AT A LEVEL COMMENSURATE TO WHAT YOU'RE PAID! It's a lesson I learnt the hard way.
You don't know the job better than the other staff. They just know this RULE which no one has explained to you.
If you continue, you may end up being set up and booted out unceremoniously. You may not even get paid for the work you've done. |

My brother, they downsized. First time, I was lucky not to be affected. But the second time, more than 50% of stall were dropped. emmanuelewumi: Why did you leave your former place of work, since the pay is better than the current one |

I just resumed a job in January, and the director insists on not giving appointment letter. In her words "don't you know appointment letter is an agreement" she hires and fires at will. The pay isn't even fantastic, not up to half of what I was earning in my previous job. I just tire. The annoying thing is that within the short period I've worked, they've seen what I can do. I know the job even more than they that employed me. I am also working with my heart like say na NY father company. It is well. |

I wish I can talk to you personally. Be careful. Ask God to show you a sign. Stay away from premarital sex. Be sincere you'll accept God's will. If you marry outside the will of God, you'll regret forever. No matter the storm, if you are married to your destined partner, you'll pull through. I know what I'm saying. TheLaughter: Some are saying there isn't, others say there is...
I have prayed on my own but I am not getting any revelation...
Now I am scared, I have asked myself what if spirituality is true and all they are saying is true?
I don't want to make any mistakes, but when it comes to compatibility, we are really compatible... |

Your advice is so apt! Big lesson Learnt. Thanks and happy new year. 1mrprolific7: Welcome to Year 2020.
If you wake up to log in to NL to learn about the bad news about the country or for tribal masochism, and spend the next 1 hour on facebook or twitter looking at the latest news or trends, then spend another 1 hour on whatsapp looking at peoples' status and personal lifestyle, then spend the evenings to go watch how Chelsea should win or how Barcelona should fail...then keep logging off and on NL to see how many likes or mentions you have had...
then I put it to you that if you continue this trend for the next 2-3 years, especially if you are a youth that has a bright future ahead, the likelihood that you'll end up as a failure in life is high.
If you put all the minutes you spend on unproductive things online, it's enough to find a bearing for your life and loved ones even in the midst of the hardship all around. |
