Kipling: Nothing wrong with your addiction. You still dey see food chop, and it appears it's not directly affecting you other than just your self hate of the habit. Forget all that bible brainwashing stories that people are telling you here. It's basic biology. E no concern religion matter. When real life hits you, even if woman naked in front of you, your brain will not turn up. So enjoy the ride, but as with all other things, understand that too much of everything is wrong. Even eating too much or drinking too much or sleeping too much. Now, practical things that can help you is this: Download an app called Stay Focused. It's a very flexible app that is capable of helping in this (and other) kind of situations that demand you habit change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_xiFaRSOYk To enjoy the premium playstore version though, you have to pay but I can send you a hacked version, if you can't find it online yourself. Install the app and make sure you block every single porn app and website that comes to your mind for at least 3 days. Then, make sure you select the strongest lock version, which is STRICT MODE and lock your phone for at least 10 days. You see this mode, the only way to get out of it is to allow the app to run it whole course, or to wipe your phone completely. The reason I said you should spend three days blocking is because, you can't actually cheat your brain and sometimes, even if you open a website to watch or just pass away time, your brain would automatically crave that pleasure of mastubation, and depending on the kind of person you are, if your willpower is strong, you may choose not to do it, if not, you can only override that pleasure after you already masturbated. So, after visiting a xyz website, if you can control yourself, immediately use the app to block it, if not, do what you have to do, and block the site afterwards or even use the opportunity to block multiple sites at once, because at least, your brain is satiated for the moment. The more popular sites you block, the more your brain will begin to suggest other sneaky ways for you to bypass the sites you blocked, and while your brain is suggesting, you keep doing what you have to do and blocking afterwards. Within three days, your block list must be enough to naturally frustrate your masturbation habits. And then you will have extra 7 days depending on how many days (or month) you choose for the lock to be on. It's important to start with very small days, so you can access how you handled the situation yourself, and judge your performance in the ABSENCE OF PORN. Then you can learn and adjust accordingly. Or even go cold turkey. Mind you, your brain will still be generating different ways to circumvent the app or the websites you blocked, and as you find new sites, make it a habit to genuinely block each and every single one. AT ALL TIMES. Another thing you can do is to join an active gyming center. Find a good busy gym and join. If you have none around you, find those local area ones. Talk to someone to mentor you. Build your self esteem and looks first, then maybe, you can attract the real thing. I am assuimg you're single though, even though masturbation doesn't care about your relationship status generally. Another thing is, rid your mind of the assumption that masturbation is wrong or unhealthy or a sin. NO. Mastubation is perfectly healthy and very common. The problem here is if it gets too much, it begins to affect your personal life. So that's where we should tackle. Rectify your mindset that you might slip, and it is ok. Just understand that you are working twards being a better person. Lastly, I'd recommend you join this Reddit Sub Forum, and see how guys are doing it and winning https://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap/ It's pretty simple if you put your mind to it. I can assure you the begining is usually exhausting, but trust me, it will save you from future embarrasment. I hope you read this. I have been masturbating since 2002 and I had my last one yesterday (so far). I could choose to go on a week marathon, and I could choose to stay without anything for 3 months, so all my advice is from experience. It's your body, so you must learn to have control over it, not allow it to control you. Stay strong champion. 4 Likes

Nairaland / General / The Four Temperaments: What Kind of Personality Are You? by NoContract(m): 5:51am On Nov 11, 2021 |
Have you ever heard of The Four Temperament Theory? It's a proto-psychological theory that suggests that there are four fundamental personality types. These temperaments are believed to affect behavior - and learning more about them can help you predict patterns, not only in others, but in yourself as well. Each of the four temperaments has been studied intensively, so we know all about their associated characteristics - including their strengths and weaknesses. Knowing the ‘ins and outs’ of the four temperaments can give you a better level of self-awareness. It can also help you better understand those around you. So, let’s learn more about them! 1. The Sanguine This type is often described as spontaneous, optimistic, and energetic. As you might imagine, those who fall into the sanguine archetype are extroverts. With high energy levels and an insatiable curiosity, people with this temperament tend to love adventures and seek out new experiences. They can hold a conversation with almost anyone and bring their playful energy into their interactions. As natural entertainers, sanguine types love being the center of attention. They pride themselves on their individuality and enjoy displaying their differences. Another notable trait of this type is their ability to express and receive love and affection. However, these individuals are easily devastated if not constantly reassured that they are loved and appreciated. That said, they believe in forgiving and forgetting, and expect other people to feel the same way. A major downfall of the sanguine type is that they tend to be impulsive. Poor planning skills, disorganized thinking, and chaotic environments are the cost of living a life of spontaneity. 2. The Choleric These people like to speak their mind with dominance and strength. Their source of power comes from their mental strength - which is evident through their knack for critical thinking and creative problem-solving. If you've ever met a choleric type, you would describe them as blunt, tough, or brave. Other qualities of this type include immense focus and strong competitiveness. You might assume they have something to prove - and they usually do. Choleric people excel in new environments and situations, so they actively seek them out. With rigid goals in mind, people with this temperament rarely stray away from their path to success. They know what they want and they keep going until they reach their goal - and nothing you say can change that. Fear is an unfamiliar concept to the choleric - at least, that's what they want you to think. They possess the highest self-esteem compared to the other temperaments, and confidence is their guiding light. These types are assertive and demanding. Sometimes, they let their emotions get the best of them and they react with intimidating intensity. People with the choleric temperament are known to get what they want, when they want it. 3. The Phlegmatic This type is defined by their exceptional social skills. Those with this temperament have high emotional intelligence. They express their feelings and needs easily and effectively, and are often described as empathetic and understanding. Phlegmatic types naturally connect facts and feelings, and they have a good grasp on human thought and behavior. These qualities lead them to be well-liked by others. People who fall into this category also tend to be slow to anger. Unlike the sanguine, the phlegmatic prefers a life free of surprises. They enjoy serenity, peace, and quiet. As a result of their quiet nature, phlegmatic types tend to be great listeners. They are also great at following directions. You could describe them as hard workers, reliable, and trustworthy. They put in a lot of the grunt work to keep society on its feet. Phlegmatic people are also generally supportive and avoid criticizing others. But the downside to this attitude is, that these individuals often struggle to share their thoughts when the outcome could result in conflict. Instead of making a mistake, they prefer to remain silent. And since they are kind at heart, they are often taken advantage of. 4. The Melancholic Those with this temperament tend to be calm and poised - at least when they're not feeling emotional. Melancholic types will laugh or cry as they see fit, and you can usually see their emotions as clear as day. These individuals prioritize their family and relationships. They value respect, honesty, and loyalty - above all else. Although they show respect for everyone, they are fiercely loyal toward their inner circle. And that circle tends to be small. For melancholic types, quality surpasses quantity. They would rather have a few close friends than many acquaintances. People of this temperament also tend to put a lot of energy and effort into their relationships. In fact, there is often little left for themselves - as they put others' needs before their own. Some melancholic types find it difficult to open up to others. When they are hurt in the relationships that they value so much, they build up a wall of protection. Melancholic types tend to fantasize about meeting their ideal partner - and they seek out people who fit that perfect image. However, their rigid idealism and perfectionism tends to hurt them more than help. They hold others to exceptionally high (and often unrealistic) standards-setting themselves up for disappointment. In addition to these downfalls, melancholic types also tend to be overthinkers. And they like to read into subtle body language - often to the detriment of their relationships. There you have it: the four human temperaments in a nutshell. Most people identify with qualities from each of the four categories, but there are usually one or two temperaments that dominate. Which temperaments do you identify with the most? Let me know in the comments below! 2 Likes |

Nairaland / General / Let's Tell Our Children The Truth by NoContract(m): 5:33pm On Sep 14, 2021 |
Let's tell our children the truth Tell them the truth That Santa doesn't exist That satan is not black Tell them that every race has its ancestors and also its egregor (spiritual sphere) and that our sphere is empty because we pray to other people's ancestors Tell them that our rites, are not witchcraft Tell them that it all began in Egypt (advanced civilization, science, mathematics, philosophy, religion, architecture) Tell them the first Egyptians were black, nothing to do with Hollywood movies Tell them Christopher Columbus didn't discover Americas That Mansa Mussa the Malian was the richest man in the world Tell them black Egyptians were the first to travel the world and discovered Americas, Asia, Oceania. That it was in Egypt that the meter was invented from the measure of a drop of water and that pi (3,14) and the number of gold were invented in Egypt as well as many geometric theorems attributed to Pythagoras and Thales and yet Imhotep remains unknown to history books, he is the greatest of scholars (scientists) Tell them that the ancestor of humanity was discovered in Africa That a lot of invention of this world was made with the participation of black people but were never quoted Tell them that before the bible, Africa had a writing system And that before the arrival of the first ships and missionaries, our civilizations believed in divinity Tell them that only union can guarantee our survival and re-issue us to the greatest That concrete was invented in Egypt and not by masons not free at all Tell them that after arranging punitive expeditions to loot us from our artwork for Western museums with the key to the thousands of deaths (Benin City) They also vandalize our cultural heritage by breaking the noses of Egyptian statues so that we don't recognize the wretched nose of a kemite... palpable proof that ancient Egypt was black Tell them to work and not wait for the manna that will fall from heaven, it never fell. Tell them to believe our ancestors because they are the only ones who can intercede with the creator in our favor. Tell them that imported religions are just to put us to sleep and that it's a business where Africans are the best customers Tell them not to hate the other when they find out the truth of a falsified story but to forgive We must tell our children the truth because it is the only way to overturn the vapor of psychological domination of other races on ours Because our skin color is not Ham' curse Yes, tell them that real poverty is not subjective but objective Long live the adjacent youth Hotep to all 3 Likes 1 Share |
