16 million to clean government house per month and he is refusing to pay salaries of civil servants who were employed to clean govt house because he claim no money. Total salary for all the cleaner cannot be more than 3 million a month. Diaris God oooo |
That 1.5 billion naira worth tribunal ruling cannot survive the scrutiny of the apex court. The trial judge knows that. No wonder she started complaining of malaria while reading the judgment. |
MrMcJay:His voters card is not valid for elections in Kogi state. the constitution requires that your voters card is registered in the place that you want to contest. but with his friend Malami supporting bello in all forms of illegality, they might use abuja power to force the tribunal judges to disregard the constitutional requirement. after all they supported him so far in the assembly matter where they supported 5 lawmakers against 15. even after a judge ruled that the 15 are the legitimate group, they are using the police to arrest them. a very sad development for Kogi and Nigeria. |
KOGI: LAWMAKERS IN FRESH SHOWDOWN WITH YAHAYA BELLO OVER 2016 APPROPRIATION BILL There seems to be no respite in sight for the embattled governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as 13 members of the state house of assembly have approached a federal high court in lokoja seeking to nullify the purported passage of the state's appropriation bill 2016 and the governor's assent thereon on grounds of illegality and fraud. In an originating summons no.Fhc/lkj/CS/31/16, filed by the newly reinstated speaker ,Rt. Hon Momoh Jimoh Lawal &12ors against Hon.Umar Ahmad lmam &15ors,counsel to the plaintiffs ,S.I Ibrahim Esq ,seeks on their behalf inter alia a determination as to whether "...having regards to the exercise of the powers of the national assembly pursuant to section 11(4)of the constitution of the federal republic of nigeria 1999,the kogi state house of assembly could carry on any legislative functions, including but not limited to passage of the 2016 appropriation bill and granting approval for accessing bail out funds or exercise any legislative powers howsoever during the pendency of the said resolution. Also joined in the suit are the attorney general of the federation, the minister of finance and the governor of the central bank of nigeria. The action seeks among other reliefs"... a declaration that the kogi state appropriation law 2016 is illegal, null and void having been passed in violation of the constitution of the federal republic of nigeria " thereby rendering the governor's assent to the bill a nullity having been predicted upon a void bill. It would be recalled that consequent upon its take over of the functions of the kogi house of assembly, the national assembly had directed the governor to forward to it the said appropriation bill and all other bills requiring attention for purposes of passage, a directive that was rebuffed by the governor who had claimed neutrality earlier on in the assembly crises. Hearing has been fixed for June 2016. |
JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED THIS- Kogi: Tribunal Admits Wada’s Expert Report, Dismisses APC, INEC’s Objection YEMI ADEBOWALE on March 4, 2016 at 7:43 pm The Kogi State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Friday dismissed objections by counsels to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello and ordered the defendants to proceed with their defense after counsel to the complainant, Idris Wada tendered a report by forensic experts which established irregularities in the Kogi gubernatorial poll. According to the report tendered by Idris Wada through his counsel, Chief Chris Uche SAN, four major areas of irregularities provide sufficient grounds to invalidate some of the results of the gubernatorial poll, which saw INEC declaring the APC candidate the winner of the election. The issues, based on information exclusively obtained by SIGNAL, include ballots papers that were not stamped and dated but still counted for political parties, ballots papers supplied in excess of registered voters that were not returned but entered as valid results, cases of over-voting as well as number of registered voters less than total votes cast. Based on investigations conducted by a team of electoral forensic experts, Wada submitted that a total of 172,426 votes were invalidated by the said irregularities. 119,062 of the invalidated votes were recorded in favour of APC while 53,364 of such votes were recorded in favour of the PDP. The invalid 119,062 votes, when subtracted from the total figure of 247,752 polled by the APC in the gubernatorial elections leaves the APC with 128,690 votes. On its part, when the invalid 53,364 votes recorded for PDP is subtracted from its total figure of 204, 877, the PDP would be left with 151,513 votes making Wada the rightful winner. It was based on the foregoing that Wada went before the tribunal to protest what he termed, “gross irregularities” during the polls. Counsels to APC, INEC and Yahaya Bello objected to the submission of the forensic report but the Tribunal Judge Justice Halima Mohammed overruled and set aside the objections, ordering the defendants to prepare their defence as hearing commences proper at the Tribunal’s next sitting. |

God is truly working in kogi. All the gladiators should park well and let God's will manifest in that state. I knew it from the way Audu died that God was making a clear statement. The bible says in Ezekiel 21:27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him. Let the wise be guided |
Na wa o! This kogi governorship matter still dey turn? Wow! |
This Kogi confusion is getting really confused o! |
How can impeachment be carried out by 5 out of 20 members? But anyway that is kogi where anything goes! After all bello too became governor with only 6000 votes. |
Nice move bello! If wada had sacked this evil servants, his regime would have achieved more. They are the brains behind kogi problem. Sack them probe them. |

Exactly- Yahaya Bello till 2013! You have said it all. The State is in reverse gear. He has actually reversed things back so fast. In one day- security breaks down irretrievably. Just one tribunal cannot sit. Do you know how many tribunals sat in lokoja during wada's tenure? Nothing of this nature has ever been heard. |
Just one day after taking over from Wada and Yahaya Bello cannot guarantee the security of lives and property in kogi something Wada did effortlessly for 4 years. NA WA O! cc Seun, Lalasticlala, Ishilove |

Which Audu? The same Audu who locked the doors of govt house and went away with the keys? Or the same Audu that fought ibro till his grave. Even in death nothing joined them. I can excuse your ignorance though most kogi people are ignorant of mere facts. Arogba: |

Contrary to falsehood being peddled around social media, the ongoing flyover project in lokoja is a CONTRACTOR FINANCED project. The contractor TEC ENGINEERIG has sourced the funds required from China and has given the state a long repayment period. The project is estimated to cost 4.6b and is expected to be completed in 18 months. "This is not a project where we pay mobilization or advance payment. They are going to start the work. They have the equipments, the technical manpower. It's contractor financed. So it is a window of opportunity we cannot afford to miss. This project belongs to Kogi State, it doesn’t belong to me", Wada said. In his remark, the state commissioner of Works, Arc. Godwin Onamah, said the process for procurement of the project began about a year ago and it was testament of the novel method of governance that the capt Wada administration brought to the state. It will be recalled that the Wada administration has placed private public partnership on the front burner since inception. It passed the public private partnership law in 2013 and has since then gone on to negotiate over 42 ppp arrangements that are at various stages of completion. Top of these projects is the 11 storey kogi house project in abuja which when completed will shore up the revenue generating project of kogi state. cc lalasticlala obynoscopy Ishilove Semid4lyfe
