Well you're not far from the truth, I'm overly ambitious, not afraid to say it, and I'll really love to network with like minds.

I have also actively searched for groups for Nigerian professionals in North-east England on almost all social media platform but nothing concrete is coming up...
If there are people here who wouldn't mind connecting with other professionals and you're in the Northeast then you're welcome to reach out, the idea is meeting and rubbing minds, it's not for those far away I already have enough people around the UK who are far away.

Good to be back here again after running to and fro between 2018 and 2019 when I was trying to migrate to the UK as a Nurse! thank you all for your immense contributions, it did help me in lots of ways...
The good news is I'm in the UK now, not so good news, it's lonely and boring as hell, not because there aren't people (Nigerians) around but because almost all of them I've met including other nationals (men) seem to not have grown past the average African mentality that connection/networking especially with the opposite sex is not synonymous with sexual connection

So here I am, going round the clock, from work to house, sleep when I'm off duty, many professional colleagues are miles away from my location so we only talk on phone.
Please if you're in Durham, Newcastle or even Sunderland and you want career connection say hi, men are also welcome if you understand that people can be friends without pants flying off except of course if along the way by mutual consent an understanding is reached and we both decide that we can try getting to know each other beyond career, otherwise females are preferred.

No you don't but when you get your decision letter, before you apply for your Visa, you will need to do a TB test in an IOM centre either in lagos or Abuja.. it's about 55k..

Is it tier 2 general or minister of religion? You don't need to include the slip with your documents.

Tier 2 work Visa.. I was just afraid that they may consider the NIMC slip equivalent to national ID card, had to read the slip carefully again and it's stated that it doesn't confer the right of a general multipurpose card.

Just don't want to have any issues at all.

My Tier 2 UK visa application is already booked for next week, I answered NO to the question do you have a valid national ID card?

In all honesty I don't have a valid national ID card, I enrolled 2013 and was given the NIMC slip but since then the card has never been issued..
I noticed also that banks won't even accept it from me as a means of identification because although it has the NIN it doesn't have the NIMC logo embedded in it like some others I saw..

My problem now is, was i wrong to answer NO? Should i still include the slip like that when i go for submission and explain why i answered NO or it isn't necessary?

OK I have a little hitch though.... my license has expired since 2014 I didn't renew it because my organization never asked to see updated license, my bad...
Is the license part of the documents to submit or will the certificate and notification plus testimonial suffice?

I booked for IELTS (not UKVI version though) less than a month before the exam date. Why don't you go to the BC site and check available dates closest to you?

Don't think you will find space if you wait till its less than a month. From experience the spaces fill up fast, so the earlier the better.
And just asking, what's your purpose for taking IELTS? if its for UK visa then please do IELTS general for ukvi, not just the IELTS general. I hope u know both are different. I found out the hard way.

I've taken IELTS in 2013 and I remembered then we were told to book at least a month ahead of the test date.. I only wanted to know if it's still same

Please I'd want to find out if it's still the normal ritual of booking for IELTS a month before the test date or can one book less than a month?

The process is not that hard but if you're in Nigeria, its better you get an agency to guide you through the process and help you get an employer and note that you're not paying any agency any fee. But if you're already in UK, you can do it on your own.
Some of those agencies also add you to their CBT and IELTS prep groups on WhatsApp free of charge. So there's no harm in trying.

Thanks a lot.. I wasn't talking about agents for IELTS I have taken that before and it expired I'm talking about continuing the process after the IELTS and CBT the person I asked talked of agents and I didn't like the idea..

Sent. In my opinion, reading that textbook is a waste of time. I'm not saying it's not relevant o, it is better put to use as a reference material. You can study for cbt using less complex materials unfortunately i can only send these materials via what'sapp because I didn't download the files.

How can one get an employer to sponsor the visa? Because what I have seen so far is using an agent and I don't think it makes sense in the long run.

Any website where I can search for direct employers?

Please answer this, it's the main problem. ... only agents are known for now and honestly I don't want to give any agent money when I'm not sure it will work or the person won't run off with the money

Why not get a job in UK then do your BNSc when you get there. UK is recruiting lots of overseas nurses these days and the process is not as hard as you may think. Just write Ielts and ensure you get mimimum of 7 in reading, listening, speaking and 6.5 in writing. Then write CBT test then continue from there.
