I said this earlier here that I will prefer we get the home based players to play Benin. I won’t mind to see the South Africans cry for missing the World Cup. The ojoro from CAF is too much especially playing us on that potato pitch so am on this 💯
But unfortunately, if we beat Lesotho in our next match then we are condemned to win Benin in our last match to at least secure that 2nd spot and wait to see what happens afterwards.

In other news...

FIFA are set to give 70% more money to all clubs who release players for World Cup Qualifiers and the World Cup Finals. 🚨

£260million will be shared between all clubs.

We need more local players to participate (not necessarily play) in the qualifiers to benefit the local clubs.

Even if those points are docked by FIFA, then what? At this stage, how does it benefit us? Are we seriously expecting South Africa to lose to either Rwanda or Zimbabwe?

This 3-point deduction stuff was more interesting when we hadn't played SA yet and there was a chance we would actually win all out remaining matches. Right now I find it hard to be excited about it. Should they deduct it? Obviously yes, if they don't want to appear shady and commit robbery in broad daylight. But how does it affect us at this point? How does it salvage our position?

On an unrelated note, please who the heck is Abdullahi Shitu that is supposedly from Man City playing for us in the upcoming U-20 world cup? Never heard of him. Plus, he's non-existent on Google apart from recent news reports of the Flying Eagles list. Which Man City is he playing for? Is it the one in England or somewhere else?
Babe, we have fumbled this right from the beginning and at this time we can only hold on to any hope we have.

SA losing 4 points in the final 2 games might just do d trick. And there is a chance of this happening. That SA team doesn't seem to hv xter to me.

If they fail to beat Zimbabwe in Rwanda and Rwanda at home this will open up a whole new permutation of possibilities especially with the three points deduction.

Believe me, if any of Nigeria, Benin or Rwanda finishes 3 points below SA, the 3 points deduction will be shouted to the highest heavens till fifa does something and a whole lot of association and confederation globally will be sympathetic to it .

First of all, ban those trade unions, they are oftentimes responsible for these artificial inflations.

Ekiti state is so notorious for unwholesome activities of trade unions.

Okon just came up short but has a bright future at 18.

Kanyinsola might officially be our next star boy in the 100m after so many years. Finished second in his heat just behind world and olympic champ Lyon.

After an 18 year wait Nigeria finally has a rep in the 100m finals and with his confidence who says he can't nick a medal.
Does anybody else find it troubling that South Africa is beginning to have dominance in Athletics?

They have 2 sprinters in the finals.

They can't be challenging us in football and athletics.

Make South Africa mistakenly play another ineligible player this afternoon too.

FIFA will just remove 6 points like that.
All hope is not lost guys. We can do it.

While at it, let us identify our own players too that might be suspended or in danger of suspension.

We can leave everything in the hands of our negligent FA.

Kwesi Appiah Sudan coach said Nigeria team is not bad but need better coaching but here Chelle should not be blamed... Appiah said he was confident of winning but not by that margin.
Heard he played so many players out of position yesterday.

What's it with him always playing players out of position.

Truidstarr:
Sir, Let us be honest, the league quality has dropped badly from the time you were active. This is the same league where Finidi George left sharks of port harcourt and walked into an Ajax first team( Comparable to PSG of today) can any NPFL player achieve same today? I still remember when I was very young watching a local league match on TB that had Ben iroha and a Young Nwankwo Kanu, that match was of very high standard. Same cannot be said today.
I just don't want to agree with this sentiment that the quality of the local league has dropped is why we should get pummeled by Sudan of all countries.

No Nigerian team at any level should be losing to Sudan let alone with a 4-0 margin.

The quality of our league has not dropped compared to the 80s and 90s, in fact, there has been significant improvements in terms of infrastructure, players welfare, investments and exposure.

The talent is always there and I believe we should be able to get players from the local league today that can compete favorably at AFCON just like it was In 1990.

This same team easily put Ghana to the sword with a very convincing display so what went wrong?

In retrospect, the change of guard at the very last minute seems I'll advised.

Yes who was Mikel agent during the said period and who was Siasia referring to as the agent,he must come clear on this allegation by naming the agent cuz John Shittu was Mikel agent,so Shittu was on point, now left for Siasia to name the said agent
For legal purposes, agent can be anyone acting on ur behalf. This can be anybody .

I read somewhere that the reason why it’s talking FIFA so long to make a decision is because somehow they are also responsible.

FIFA and CAF both missed the card and did not inform SA about it before the match, something they’d usually do.
This has got to be the funniest of the lot.

So u are saying a player accumulated 2 yellow cards and he's supposed to be suspended but FIFA conveniently "forgot" to notify the FA and as a result, FIFA will not apply the sanctions to the team that broke the rule? What do u call that?

Aiding and abetting!

Rules are rules and one thing y'all forgot is that if FIFA fails to sanction SA for this infraction, Nigeria, or any of the other countries, has the option of goin to CAS.
