They abandoned the system that produced results,the U15,U13 projects,the U17 open camps trials in several parts of the country and believed it was archaic.

Now that they are using a modern approach which is to invite some players from few academies, where has it gotten us to?

Some wouldn't even want to hear the name of an ex international as one of our youth team's coaches because they believed all of them are corrupt,but at least some of them have given us results in the past.

We can't even qualify for ordinary CAF U17 competitions anymore.
Some would argue it's because of the qualifying format CAF is currently using,
in the past,we wouldn't have worried about any opponent from any region in Africa,
but now,every country were just beating our darling U17 team back and blue,the most successful U17 team in the world.
The team that gave us the great Kanu,Mikel Obi and monster machine,Victor Osimhen.

Because they deceptively believed they can always run to our foreign born players for recruitment for super eagles duties as though those foreign borns were not produced by system that works,they neglected our entire youth system which used to be our talent factory.
These days, our young players barely make progression from U17 to U20 to super eagles.

I keep saying it,whenever NFF sorts itself out and the new board emerges,their priorities should be to our youth system.

I fear we are already goin the way of Ghana in youth football.

With how adept we are at street football (set) this AFCON FUTSAL should easily have been our playground.

Why are we missing?

Considering all the last minute withdrawals, this was a very good result. Well done to Chelle. Fernandez has to learn from his error and those two wingers came on the 2nd half definitely have a lot of potentials. Bewene would only get better, not impressed by Isaac James.

Also we should remember that there was no winger helping Bewene in the 1st half unlike James who at least had Moses to support him. Eric Chelle probably needs to rethink his 4-4-2 diamond.

Another positive takeaway from the match is the mentality of the players.

Ability to come from 2 goals down shows a very strong mentality.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I think thelast time the Eagles came from 2 goals down was the Afcon final against Cameroon 26 years ago.

The bad pitch wouldn't have been an excuse in years past as most of our players then started their career in Nigeria with even worse pitches.

I remember our match against Congo enroute to USA 94, the pitch was so awful yet we were able to grind out a 1 nil victory courtesy of Rashidi Yekini.

I would hv said our foreign borns not used to bad pitches are the ones affected but nowadays even our local players are no longer used to playing on bad pitches.

CAF has annulled Edo Queens’ 🇳🇬 4-1 shootout victory over Ghanaian 🇬🇭 side Ampem Darkoa and ordered the final to resume with extra time. 😳

The decision was contained in an official ruling dated September 26, 2026, by CAF’s Organising Committee for Women’s Football following a protest lodged by Ampem Darkoa over the procedure used to determine the winner of the September 5 final.

According to CAF, the failure to play extra time was the result of an erroneous administrative instruction and was not attributable to either of the participating clubs.

Truth is rejections hurt naturally whether for a guy or a girl and not just in romance but In every aspect of life.

I've been on several interview panels and see how people get hurt when u tell them they don't make the cut.

I've seen several people throw tantrums In the embassy when told their visa application is rejected, I mean several well to do people who obviously don't suffer low self esteem so rejections naturally hurts.

Like somebody already pointed out, guys still know how to handle and manage rejections better than women, women can't even handle rejections at all, again, not just in matters of romance but even when they seek favors from guys and get told no.

I also notice that some ladies also feel bitter after turning a guy down and see the guy move on like nothing ever happened so it's a two way thing.

I can see people are disappointed with the result but I tot China is one of the heavy weights of women football.

Sincerely the whole thing was an eyesore, even the picture quality of the broadcast was blurry.

Then the stadium. Is that what billion of Naira was spent on renovating? Everything about that stadium is unsightly.

If you're renovating an old stadium pls endeavor to bring it up to modern standards in terms of design and aesthetics.

Upon the billions spent on the stadium it still couldn't pass CAF standard test forcing 3sc to look for alternative home ground for their continental campaign so what's the use?

I just hope Enugu state government comes up with something good with the on going renovation of the NA stadium.

Perhaps the thinking is that the Falcons are simply too good to fail, that even an average coach can manage them and still get results on autopilot.

The danger, however, is that the team's quality initially ended up masking the coach's incompetence rather than exposing it.
