Following the DPP merger disintegration which was sorely caused by the insistence of Uche Nwosu’s technical team led by Hon (Bar) Ikenna Emeh for the Ugwumba Uche Nwosu Campaign Organization to take over the leadership structure of the Democratic Peoples Party from the ward, down to the 27 LGAs and the State Excos and substitute names of Imo State House of Assembly candidates already in the party with members of the Imo State House of Assembly denied tickets in the All Progressive Congress (APC) it was vehemently rejected and it forced the Rescue Mission family to quickly make a U-turn and embrace Action Alliance. With this new development, members of the rescue mission government who weren’t successful at securing the APC ticket will now fly the Action Alliance ticket. And it has been kicked started with their principal and Gov Rochas Okorocha's inlaw Ugwumba uche Nwosu flooding owerri with his posters...

Breaking News!! Gov. Okorocha’s Son-In-Law, Uche Nwosu Becomes AA’s Imo Guber Flagbearer After Being Rejected By DPP, Picks Speaker Acho Ihim As His Deputy The negotiation with Action Alliance which started Wednesday November 28th was concluded on Thursday November 29th after the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) rejected offers made by the Okorocha’s Son-in-law to fly their party’s flag. ScreenGist Blog reliably gathered that the discussion with DPP broke down following the insistence by the Uche Nwosu’s technical team led by Hon (Bar) Ikenna Emeh for the Ugwumba Uche Nwosu Campaign Organization to take over the leadership structure of the Democratic Peoples Party from the ward, down to the 27 LGAs and the State Excos and substitute names of Imo State House of Assembly candidates already in the party with members of the Imo State House of Assembly denied tickets in the All Progressive Congress (APC) it was vehemently rejected and it forced the Rescue Mission family to quickly make a U-turn and embrace Action Alliance. With this new development, members of the rescue mission government who weren’t successful at securing the APC ticket will now fly the Action Alliance ticket. The inability of Hon Chike Okafor who won the All Progressive Congress ticket for Okigwe South Federal constituency to join Okorocha’s Son-in-law to Action Alliance has forced Prof Nnamdi Obiaraeri to withdraw from contesting for Okigwe senate seat under Action Alliance, rather he prefers to pursue his legal action against the All Progressive Congress for disqualifying him in the race by granting automatic ticket to Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu. Due to the fact that he can’t continue with his Senatorial race for Okigwe Zone, Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Acho Ihim from Okigwe LGA was nominated as Deputy Governorship running mate to Ugwumba Uche Nwosu. At last, Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, yesterday announced the movement of his son-in-law, Mr. Uche Nwosu, other aides and members of the State House of Assembly from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Democratic People’s Party (DPP). Okorocha, who spoke with journalists at the Government House, Owerri, however, promised to work for the victory of Nwosu as the next governor of the state in 2019 even as he remained in the APC as its candidate for Orlu Senatorial District. He also accused the APC governorship candidate in the state, Senator Hope Uzodinma, of duping the deputy governor, Mr. Eze Madumere, former Secretary to the State Government, Mr. George Eche, and his predecessor, Mr. Jude Ejiogu, from the governorship ticket. According to him, what happened in APC primaries in many states presents interesting scenario as the party he said is known for justice, equity and fairness has been dented by the National Chairman, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole. He said, “What happened in Imo was a clear case of injustice, where Uche Nwosu won the primary and was robbed of the ticket. This injustice must be addressed. However, in spite of the fact that my aides are leaving the party, I am still a member of APC and will not leave the party. “I tried to persuade them not to leave, but they have made up their minds. I have done what I can to make them remain in the party, they disobeyed me. I don’t have any moral justification to stop them. “President Buhari is not behind the injustice done by the party in the state but Oshiomhole is solely responsible for all the injustice meted to my people in Imo State. For me, I am still a member of APC. Buhari still remains my candidate and I will support him.” Okorocha maintained that Imo people did not play politics of party but politics of individual, revealing that the people’s interest in APC was by his own making. He contended that among the various governorship candidates in the state, his son-in-law, Nwosu, remained the best and vowed to support him to fulfill his governorship ambition. The governor stated that most of his aides who were presumed to have betrayed him never did so, but were given fake hopes, adding, “They were deceived into believing an illusion. This is a scam played out by Senator Hope Uzodinma after all the efforts they put up in making Uzodinma the governorship candidate; he now realized that they cannot be trusted with any position, including that of his running mate. This is the game behind the game.” Nwosu had contested the APC governorship primary election in the state but lost out to Uzodinma, sparking off a wave of protest from Okorocha that has culminated in yesterday’s defection of his associates. GOVERNOR OKOROCHA PAYS NOVEMBER SALARIES TO CIVIL SERVANTS ORDERS IMMEDIATE PAYMENT OF PENSIONS ONWUASOANYA FCC JONES In keeping to his promise of paying civil servants their salaries in advance, the governor of Imo State, His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha had last week approved the payment of November salaries to all civil servants in the State, thereby, making history as the first and only governor to do so. This is as many States in the Federation are struggling to pay backlog of salaries to civil servants in their States. Imo State is one of the few States in the country that is up-to-date in the payment of civil servants' salaries. Also, Imo civil servants are among the best paid and most motivated in the country. The government has also taken deliberate steps to cut down on corruption and indiscipline in the civil service, while programs are in place to ensure that highly productive civil servants are rewarded, making the Imo State Civil Service, one of the most competitive in the country. From 2011 till date, the APC led Rescue Mission administration has employed more than 30,000 young graduates into the Imo State civil service, with the most recent been the employment of about 30 ICT savvy young graduates from each of the 305 wards in the State. Meantime, the governor has assured that pensioners in the State shall smile to the banks starting from next week, as every arrangement has been concluded to pay the senior citizens their pensions.

"I served with 6 Police Commissioners. Not one is from the South East. When I started, my first police commissioner was John Haruna from Taraba. When he left, he handed over to Musa Bello from Kwara. Then followed by Philemon Leha from Adamawa. Then Mutare from Kano. Then Nasarawa from Kebbi State. Finally Gware from Adamawa. My ADC was Idris from Kano and my orderly, Manya from Taraba. As you know, no Governor is in control of either Police or State security services. Ask El Rufai how many Igbo people he had entrusted his personal security in their hands. There was election in my state and I, as the sitting Governor didn't go to arrest anybody on election day or seen moving from one Local government to the other. As the Governor, I went to my own6 local government to vote and back to Awka. El Rufai came to Anambra State on an election day and said he wants to move around the Local governments. The state security services said you can't move6 around. Not even the Governor is allowed to move around. Only accredited voters and accredited monitors in groups are allowed to move from place to place. So, for your safety, we I you to be safe, so stay in the hotel. If you come for a party affair, you stay in the hotel which I think is day. When I was asked after that in an interview I said now listen... I Peter wouldn't want to be in Kaduna, for the same reason on an election day. In my 8 years in office, go and ask them how many people were killed in my state the way people are being killed in his state". ........Peter Obi. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RXghK8kF_Y |
Obi advises El-Rufai to shun hate speech The former Governor of Anambra State and the Vice Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Peter Obi, has expressed surprise at the statement credited to Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State, who, in his twitter account, referred to Obi as “a tribal bigot.” El-Rufai alleged that Obi stopped him from moving around Anambra State during the gubernatorial election in the State in 2010. Obi said he was shocked to read such an outburst of hate from El-Rufai, especially when, according to him, “the statement came unprovoked, suggesting that it was what he sat down to think of rather than thinking about how to solve the many problems plaguing the country.” Obi was speaking in answer to journalists that sought his reply to El-Rufai’s tweet during Youth Programme at Nnewi today. In Obi’s words: “What His Excellency, Gov. Nasir Ahmad El Rufai said about me has been brought to my attention. I believe that as we grow older and are saddled with more responsibilities, we are expected to become circumspect in our thinking and avoid recklessness in our speeches and utterances. How does the circumstance he referred to relate to bigotry to warrant such a label? All I do for people like El-Rufai is to pray for them and encourage them to concentrate on doing those things that will better the lots of Nigerians rather than engage in hate speeches that will divide and destroy the country.” Insisting that Nigeria does not need violence of speech to solve her numerous problems, Obi continues: “At this difficult time in our country, when thousands of our brothers and sisters across ethnic divide are killed all over the country, including innocent citizens in Kaduna state; millions of our children from all the parts of the country are out of school; millions of Nigerian youths from all the parts of the country are without jobs, our pre-occupation, especially among those that are in government should not be making reckless speeches. What our leaders should be doing today is seeking solution to numerous problems of our dear country.” Concerning the claim that he was arrested on the election day in Anambra, Obi said : “I am aware that during the said election he referred to, security agents merely restricted his movement because he has no business being in Anambra as I would not have any being in Kaduna on an election day.” Concluding, Obi cautioned Nigerians, especially those in positions of authority, to avoid the dominance of the vice of hate over the virtues of love in whatever they do. |

Ohakim vs Okorocha: Court seals four banks in Imo for contempt "The judgment was dated February 23 , 2018 . The judgment partly reads , “ Order absolute is made against the fifth garnishee ( Skye Bank ) to the tune of N112, 000,000. 00 ( N112m ). ” Our correspondent gathered that Ohakim had gone to court owing to the failure of his successor, Rochas Okorocha , to pay him his entitlements as a former governor of the state. The court delivered judgment in favour of Ohakim on May 24 , 2016, but Okorocha allegedly refused to honour the court judgment. The ex -governor again went to court to enforce the judgment against the state governor by asking the court to issue an order for banks where Imo State Government accounts are domiciled to pay him . The court granted the request through a garnishee order on February 23 , 2018 , but the banks failed to pay the plaintiff. Ohakim went back to the court to get an order for the sealing off of the affected banks until the entitlements are paid". Capital Oil and Gas Ind. Ltd is not same as Capital Oil PLC. Our attention has been drawn to news making the rounds with regards to Securites and Exchange Commission and its purported to take over Capital Oil PLC. While this news is true, we have however noticed with dismay that most media outlets have used either our logo, pictures of our depot or the picture of our Managing Director in support of their story. In view of this blunder which is a product of lazy journalism, we wish to make it clear for the unsuspecting listening and reading public that Capital Oil PLC and Capital Oil and Gas Ind. Ltd. are different entities. First off, the Capital Oil in question is absolutely different from Capital Oil and Gas which belongs to Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah. Capital Oil PLC is currently registered on the floor of the stock exchange and as such is a publicly quoted company. On the other hand, Capital Oil and Gas is a limited liability company owned by Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah and is not quoted. Hence, Capital Oil and Gas has no business with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Capital Oil PLC is less popular than Capital Oil and Gas which is why everyone assumes Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah's company is being referred to anytime Capital Oil is being mentioned. This is very wrong. Please find below, a graphic illustration showing the logos of Capital Oil and Gas Ind. Ltd. and Capital Oil PLC. The difference is clear for all to see. This is for the kind attention of the unsuspecting public who have been misled by the activities of lazy reporters and journalists into believing that Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited was about to be taken over by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Thank you.
