hammerF:Tomorrow, October 18th, is when we will know for sure. |
hammerF:Ikpeazu doesn't have a say in this matter. It is bigger than him. He will wait to follow the direction that Umahi, Obiano and Chris Uba point to. Peter Obi is still beating about the bush. He is still avoiding the men that will determine his fate. |
Ngosievergreen:There is little that your PVC can do in general elections. Governors, especially those with federal support, are the ones whose votes count on that day because they have the capacity to replicate the 1.5 million votes that Wike gave GEJ in 2015. Atiku needs to be in sync with these governors if he wants to make headway in the southeast. |
senatordave1:He is not even sure of winning Anambra because he and Obiano are not in good terms. Atiku will have a divided southeast because of this selfish choice he made. |
arsenalLUVA:Hmm |
These are not the people he should be visiting. Ikpeazu has no say in southeast governors forum. He is like a houseboy in the forum. |
Dave Umahi doesn't need to apologize for his stance. Atiku got it wrong and he has started off on the wrong foot by alienating and disrespecting the leaders that he would depend upon to shore up his votes in the southeast. Peter Obi doesn't have the capacity to do the needful for him. Those guys he is neglecting are the ones who manufacture votes in Igboland. Atiku will surely regret taking this selfish action. |
Atiku just made some big mistakes. Dave Umahi wants to be president in 2023 and he has been planning to work for Buhari, this appointment just made that job easier for him as he will be in a perfect position to sabotage Atiku. Nyesom Wike will be too busy fighting off the army that Amaechi has raised against his second term bid that he won't be able to cordinate anything outside Rivers state. Tambuwal carries no weight anywhere in the north, even in his own Sokoto state! Gombe people like Dankwambo but hate PDP, now that he has finished his second tenure and failed to clinch the presidential ticket, they are done with him and PDP. They won't listen to him anymore. To be continued.. |
I am Igbo and many of us share this thought. |
Enugupikin:puoreports looks like a fake propaganda site to me. Let us wait for info from reliable sources. |
Fayose wants to divide PDP votes in southwest. That's a good one. |
BeautifulMind2:I don't think he hates peter obi. He doesn't just trust him with power. Osita Chidoka and Chukwuma Soludo that are being proposed for Peter Obi's replacement are also Anambra people and are better than Peter Obi in all honesty. I am not a fan of Dave Umahi, but if he doesn't put his foot down and insist that Atiku show the leadership of southeast some courtesy when taking decisions that affect the zone now that he doesn't have power, that means the southeast will become rubberstamp to whatever decisions he may want to take if he assumes real power. |
Peter Obi is clinging to anyone or anything for support now but unfortunately for him, Chidoka is not among the people that will decide his fate in the coming days. The people Atiku wants to hear from have already made up their minds. |
nelronaldo:Igbos are not rising against themselves. They want peter obi replaced with another Igbo man of their own choosing. Outsiders taking important decisions for Igbos is the cause of the discontent. |
Enugupikin:Umahi, Ekweremadu and others can then be excused for trying to put their own interests first. I don't see why peter obi should be crying foul because his own interest and theirs don't agree. |
Carlyscales:All politicians are ambitious and always put their interests first including peter obi. |
Enugupikin:Spot on. Even Jonathan is begging them to accept peter obi because he knows that the VP decision lies in the hands of these southeast stakeholders and not Atiku. But the matter has gone too far for peter obi to get redemption. Even some PDP lords cooling off in APC temporarily like Emeka Offor and Arthur Eze are not happy with the choice of peter obi. Atiku will surely cave in. It is just a matter of days. |
Let's wait and see how things go in the coming days but the forces against peter obi are adamant and will not back down. |
I don't think Atiku has settled for peter obi yet. He is still leaving his options open pending the conclusion of negotiations with southeast leaders. That is why he has not made any statement on his VP choice especially on his twitter account where he is active. The opposition against peter obi is very strong and he will likely cave in to their request. |
This happened before the PDP presidential primaries when Atiku came to solicit for Anambra PDP votes. Atiku should listen to the southeast PDP stakeholders and replace peter obi with another generally acceptable candidate like Osita Chidoka or Chukwuma Soludo if he wants a united southeast behind him in 2019. But if he insists on peter obi, then he should prepare himself for sabotage in the southeast because these guys are serious and they are in the position to make or mar him in the southeast. |
Atiku should wise up and listen to the southeast stakeholders who have offered him a better alternative in the person of Prof. Soludo so that he can go into the 2019 election battle with a united southeast behind him. But if he insists on peter obi who has many enemies within southeast PDP, then he should be ready for sabotage in the south east. It would be disastrous for him considering that he will more than likely lose the southwest. |
If Atiku doesn't listen to these people and replace peter obi with another person who doesn't have divisive tendencies, then he will be going into the 2019 election battle with his gun pointed at his own head! |
Peter Obi will be replaced with another Anambra indigene in just a matter of days. The powers that be in the southeast are fiercely against him. Atiku can't afford to offend them. |
Chiwude:Umahi is his saving grace how? Umahi is also ambitious and especially after Obasanjo prophesied to him that he will become the next Igbo president, his imaginations started running wild. He may pretend to be neutral, but he is among those digging peter obi's political grave. |
onuebonyi:He is the lone dissenting voice there. |
onuebonyi:Hehehe. Umahi, Ekweremadu, and others are also smoking weed, shebi? |
Chiwude:We in Anambra are voting for APGA presidential candidate. You can vote for PDP in Ebonyi. |
onuebonyi:It is not true. The party and her backers must make their input if Atiku wants their whole-hearted support. |
Many influential Igbos in southeast PDP are not happy with peter obi. They believe he is not a team player and is very self-centred which is why they are not supporting his ambition. Atiku will be forced to pick somebody else or they will pull their support and let buhari roast him in the east with his footsoldiers. |
fergie001:The idiot is pre-occupied with his 2nd term that is why he has refused to pay civil servants and pensioners their entitlements for 10 months and counting! |
fynex:She is not even interested. Internet urchins are the ones dropping her name. |
wink2015:It is not up to Atiku to decide. The party, in agreement with her stakeholders in and outside the party, will make that decision and they already have. |

I use to respect your views, I never knew you are this hateful, no matter what he did to you or your family, I believe you are Christian and pray for forgiveness, you joined with enemies to rubbish Peter Obi's name, what ever bad you do to other will surely come to you in 100.
