adecz:

This is sign backwardness & stinginess, not humility.
Imo citizens should be prayerful, for this man likely come and take them backwards,
the same way we initially hailed Buhari, only for him to come and take us back, 30 years.
You go to a millionaires house and see him using 1970s black and white TV and say he is humble?
Don't say I didn't warn you. It is his type that will be using contractors with only wheelbarrows and headpans to build roads. Imo people have entered one chance. |

Yyeske: I tire for those bigots who think that every Igbo man, woman and child must reason and act same way and failure to fall in line qualifies as a saboteur, Hausa or Yoruba. I just can't understand their warped and weird reasoning at all. We were not all born at the same time, same environmental, same interaction with the rest of the world to start thinking same way but these bigots think everyone must be beaten into line because they are loud and their opinions is best for everyone. It is frustration. PDP losses in 2015 & 2019 hit them very hard. They are struggling to recover and are just using the idea of biafra to ease the pain of defeat. Their frustration will never end . |

mrvitalis: I blame the south east leaders
Someone from south east would still defend this You can't blame southeast leaders. This problem is strictly enugu problem. Wawa people of enugu are too backward to even have an airport in the first place. The NCAA had been advising enugu state government for many years to pipe raw water from nearby ekulu river to the airport so that water can be available to flush toilets at the airport but wawa people being naturally slow and backward people, didn't even consider it. They prefer the very expensive trucking of water all the way from Anambra state which add up to the cost of running the airport which has remained unprofitable since it was established. |

Kobicove: Let's be honest here, there is nothing international about the airport at Enugu
An airport where the generator is not switched on until 6am cannot be said to be up to international standard So true. The airport even lacks water. The toilets always stink as water has to be transported all the way from Anambra state via tankers. Wawa people are too backward to have an airport. Enugu airport should be downgraded as the new Anambra international airport will take off soon and water won't be an issue. |

I had visited Abuja it remains East God provide money to explore Please do visit. But stay away from Enugu. Don't say I didn't warn you. Even if you lodge in a hotel there, you can't get water to bathe or flush the toilet as they usually wait 2 days at least, for the water tankers conveying water from Anambra to get to Enugu. |

That Onitsha pic I have seen it couple of time on nairaland I wouldn't take pics serious if I were you. Go and visit Onitsha for yourself and you will understand why Anambra people are different and uniquely superior compared to other Igbos. Then after taking in the awe, drive down to Aba to see the disaster of a town and you will understand why they are considered as second class Igbos. The difference is so clear. I wouldn't advice you to go to Enugu because you may stay there for days without bathing due to lack of water in that town. |

The only problem with Onitsha now is traffic congestion as more and more people flee into the city from failed cities like Aba that is buried in infrastructure decay and Enugu that doesn't have water. |

0luwasean: Its 7yrs each for six counts - that's 42yrs for him and his accomplice.
" Ex-NIMASA Boss, Calistus Obi, Bags 42 Years, Gets Option of N252 million as Fine for N136m Fraud.
Also sentenced by Justice Olatoregun of Fed High Court Lagos, was Alu Dismas. They were found guilty on counts 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 & 8 and sentenced to 7years on each count. They had pleaded not guilty to 8 counts brought against them by the EFCC on April 12, 2016.
The judge gave them an "option of fine" of N42 million on each count and imposed a N10 million fine on Global Sea Investment & Grand Pact Limited involved in the alleged fraud.
The EFCC called 8 witnesses & tendered several documents, admitted in evidence against them." What if the thief had put the 136mil in an fixed deposit, it would have yielded above the 252mil fine that the judge slapped on him. EFCC should appeal this judgement. He must repay all he stole with interest and still serve long a prison sentence. |

They have travel far and wide and see how good it is to have good country unlike ours that is so behind in everything. Kumuyi is human, he is fallible like every other person, respect or not, called or not, the moment you see nothing wrong in this government and the moment you start telling people to stop talking either constructively or not is also in support of the evil affecting the masses. A wise man once said All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke). And one said pray! Prayer without working is death on arrival. Simply Kumiyi is an enemy of the people and enemy of the people is an enemy to God[/s] You are very stupid. Ebonyi people are fake Igbos. Some of their girls I met on a trip there some years ago even confided in me that they love those long fulani preek compared to the small and average preek of lazy ebonyi men. Believe me, there is no rape going on in ebonyi state, the sex between the fulani men and ebonyi women in the farms are consent sex, that's why the women are not complaining. It is their jealous men like the clueless governor that are raising alarm. |

I am back. To cut the long story short, what Igboland needs is a re-evaluation of who we are, what our priorities are as a people, an active participation in local and national politics(not social media noisemaking please), and a conscious and deliberate effort to improve and expand public infrastructure that will in turn attract not just attract diaspora Igbos to live and work in Igboland but other Nigerians as well. Massive investment in education at all levels is the key and not one stupid aku luo uno fund . |

Edit: on your second point about privately financing our development, I 100000% agree with you. We need an Igbo-Land Development Fund managed by someone like NOI. We need to accelerate Aku-luo-Uno mentality. The problem with twisted Igbos like you is the foolish belief that money will solve all problems Igbos are facing. Igbos need a total overhaul of their weird mindset and mentality. What will one useless aku luo uno fund do to change Igbo mentality toward Igboland? It is only in Igboland you see big residential mansions padlocked with rusted chains showing the owner hasn't stepped foot there since the last christmas from his base in Kano. Is that not aku lugolu uno? Of what use is that ? I will be back to complete this thought, I need to shit, my bowels are moving |

Igbo politicians in abuja only steal for their pockets though, so I don't expect much from them. When politicians from west or north find themselves in abuja, they bring back as much federal agencies to their place as possible. But Igbos will be planting more projects in the north. Ekweremadu was deputy senate president for 8 years, he couldn't influence the siting of one major specialized federal agency in Igboland! The problem of Igbos are internal. Igbos are not as smart as they want people to believe. |

tuniski: It was a pre-election matter meant for the courts not tribunal. The FcT high court has jurisdiction. Pre election matters are intra-party disputes. Anything that affects the opposing party are no longer pre election matters but election tribunal matters. Again, the FCT high court is meant for FCT affairs. There is a federal high court abuja that is in charge of federal affairs. An Anambra state high court cannot adjudicate in a civil or criminal matter that happened in Lagos. |

[s] cjrane: Pointless examples.
Although i prefer a restructured Nigeria than an independent Biafra, i viewed your issues as pointless because Nigeria would not have the same influence it has right now in ECOWAS without Biafra. It is like arrogating the power of the former USSR to Russia. The new Nigeria without Biafra will simply at best be as powerful as Ghana or Cote d'Ivoire.[/s] Stop fooling yourself. Nobody will give you a restructured Nigeria and nobody will give you biafra, at least not until the north is sure they have exhausted every single oil and gas reserve in the south, both onshore and offshore. While you are dreaming of restructuring, all of the governors are right now resisting ordinary local government autonomy be it PDP or APC states. And there can be no restructurhng without constitutional amendment that will require not just the NASS, but 24 states to give approval. The problem of Igbo youths of these days is that they don't reason sensibly. |
