Amaechi is doing great in the ministry of transport. He is a man with great vision and plan to totally overhaul our transport infrastructure. We need him to finish the good works he has started.

I had light almost throughout the weekend. They took it yesterday morning but brought it back after 2hrs and is been on till now. Light is life. Good job Willie

It is same thing all over Anambra. Light is so regular now, some people are complaining of too much light, mainly because of high estimated bills cheesy

Obiano is doing excellently well. He has tackled security, agriculture, power and roads, and labour . I understand that health is the next thing on the agenda. Total revamp of our health infrastructure. That's reason for replacing the former health comm.

The answer to this is the owerri airport.
Prostitution and sexual immorality is rampant among Imo people that is why people invest in hotel business there. Manufacturing is the solution.

grin grin Funny thread. You can only coperate with abakaliki people when you want to colonize them to fully become and behave like Igbos. And coperate with wawa/nsukka people when you want to shed them of ancestral laziness that many of them inherited from their benue progenitors. This stupid seredec or whatever cannot and will not work. You can take it to the bank. Anambra people don't have time for useless things. Any Anambra man you see there just wants to maximize his personal profit and quickly discard the filth.

You wouldn't know until you try.
Buhari is no longer running and pdp even in the last election reclaimed past territories in the north.

A peter obi can win the presidential elections. He was the most inspiring in the last elections and Nigerians saw it.
Atiku got a lot of votes because of him.

If not for the atiku corrupt bagagge and the buhari followership in the north, a lot of people would have voted for pdp.

He was certainly more inspiring than osibanjo.[/s]
Don't kid yourself. Nobody will give a fraudster like Peter Obi their presidential ticket. The real contenders are those governors now in their second terms.

I know that SW will get the APC presidential ticket in 2023 unless a power from above overshadows Buhari to melt his heart towards Igbos, even though Igbos are not helping matters either. But what will surprise me more is if PDP does not give an Igbo man their presidential ticket after all these years of ass-licking and carrying the burden of opposition.

Please the discussions on this thread should focus on how to reverse the decline in morality among Imo youths which is fuelling the hotel boom in Owerri. Normally, hotels spring up to cater for workers in other industries within the city or town but Owerri case is strange as no other industry survives in owerri apart from hotel industry.

If they repeat what they did in Imo state in anambra then kiss your luck goodbye.[/s]

I just realized why APGA refused to give the senatorial ticket to Ifeanyi in the last election, he would have caused huge problems APGA in 2022, now any party he joins he would take his problems to the party because he will start fighting the people already there and then cause a diivided house.
I'm never afraid of Ifeanyi ubah, he does not have the appeal to win accross Anambra, he only won his senate seat because of the primaries in APGA, most people were angry so he took all APGA ward chairmen in the south with him, bought them cars and gave them money and they all worked for him. after that election, Obiano recalled all those ward chairmen and appeased them, that was how Ubah lost even his constituency to APGA in the House of assembly.
Ifeanyi Ubah is only popular in his Nnewi north.
You are right. APGA refused to give Ifeanyi Ubah the ticket because of 2021. He would have caused rancour within party.

Infact Let this soludo come out and Ifeanyi comes e go clear una for eye.

What apga needs is to maintain their tradition of neutral candidate without too much godfather's.
Soludo is not marketable? Are you joking? Even Obiano knew he had mass appeal that he put his picture and famous quote "If it is not broken, why fix it" on almost all the APGA advertising billboards for the 2017 election. Yes I have said before that Ifeanyi Ubah worries me but not because he has any governance potential that people see in him but because he is good at sharing money, buses and motorcycles whenever election is near akin to what Osinbajo did for APC during the presidential election campaign. Such inducements do sway some people no doubt.

It has not been this bad in Onitsha. As at now, Onitsha roads are nothing to write home about; ranging from mgbemena, amanator, nwaziki, showlight, obodoukwu Rd, Ede Rd, ojoto, oguta Rd etc etc.
I can authoritatively state that 80% of Onitsha metropolis road are not motorable.
Obiano government so much neglected Onitsha metropolis that residents now refer to him as a drunk.

It has not been this bad![/s]
Were those roads not bad when Anambra people voted Obiano 21 over 21 or during the state assembly elections in march when APGA won all the 4 Onitsha and 2 Idemili state constituencies? Continue making a fool of yourself. You will die in one of the hospitals renovated by Obiano.

Peter Obi and Chidoka will never work together. They are the same type of people, attention seekers who always like to see themselves in the limelight. They will never agree politically.. Remember how Chidoka snatched the Anambra ministerial slot from Peter Obi with the backing of PDP leaders in Anambra. The Obi I know will never forgive him for that.
Also, in the last election Chidoka was among the SE leaders that rejected Peter Obi as VP. The next Anambra election will likely be a fight between Chidoka vs Peter Obi on who controls the PDP structure in Anambra and I see Chidoka winning Obi because obi has exposed himself as a fraud nationally following what happened in 2017 and 2019, I don't think PDP will give him their structure again. cheesy
Peter Obi knows that Chidoka can't win even if he snatches the PDP structure and with the new Imo state governor amenable to him, I don't think Obi will be too desperate to get Anambra like he was in 2017.

Most electorates are not literate ... yet,
Ifeanyi Ubah of little known YPP party defeated the almighty PDP's kingmaker Chris Uba?
APGA members in Anambra south delivered Ifeanyi Ubah because he was a member of the party and they felt the way he lost the primaries after allegedly receiving assurances that he would be the APGA candidate was unfair. That's why YPP couldn't win any other seat in Anambra apart from the one Ubah won. And don't forget that Ubah is catholic while the person that APGA presented in that election isn't. General election in Anambra has a lot of intrigues. You have to be alert because rigging do occur due to the chaos and if you are rigged out, it is solely your fault because the people always vote for who the APGA leaders at the grassroots tell them to vote for. Anybody saying that Anambra electorates are illiterates is just insane.

You are right,he heavily depended on his popularity.telling the people to vote pdp for presidency is a senseless act,pdp took advantage of this collabo in 2011 and 2015 to clear all the nass seats.seems umeh has a poor memory
Umeh has always used APGA for trading during general elections. It was during his tenure that APGA stopped presenting Presidential candidates and it adversely affected the party at national level. APGA is very strong in Anambra state and I am sure that it will be a one way traffic if presidential and national assembly elections are held on seperate days but inside traders like Umeh are always looking for how to sell the party to PDP at the national level. He never learns.

The quest to have Obi as the vp under PDP invariably affected Victor Umeh.
That's not true. Peter Obi on the VP ticket did nothing to Victor Umeh's chances. Victor Umeh shot himself. He left the other APGA house of reps candidates in the zone to deliver him when indeed those candidates were waiting on Umeh to deliver them! To make matters worse for himself, 5 days to the election, he visited a popular radio station and told the people to vote PDP for president and vote APGA for other positions, hence going against the party and putting himself and the other APGA candidates in that zone in jeopardy. He didn't know that Peter Obi didn't have the same magnanimity and was seriously plotting his downfall. His only luck now is that he is very good at the courts, so I expect him to win back his seat at the senate soon.

I beg to differ here bro, Soludo is what Anambra needs after Obiano and not Chidoka who can't influence anything in Obosi or even his Idemili north LGA. I stay in Odume Obosi and can tell you better.
He's currently having problems with the Igwe and his council of chiefs in Obosi, let him go resolve his rift with them first. Meanwhile he's from Anambra central and the next governor should come from Anambra south where Soludo solution comes from.
Don't mind the maggot you quoted. Chidoka will lose election to APGA in his own local government area anyday, anytime. Many things are against him. Apart from the fact that he is daft and lacks ideas to run something as big as a state government, he doesn't even satisfy the basic political requirements to be governor in a state like Anambra by the time the 2021 election gets underway. Peter Obi just wants to humiliate him ahead of time to eliminate a potential rival in the 2023 race for the PDP VP.

Imo state has arable land, Imolites should invest in real sectors to grow the state.

Pics: Coscharis commercial rice farm and irrigation
I disagree that Imo has arable land. Imo state is a dense rainforest and doesn't have the kind of vast grassland you find in Ayamelum, Anambra east, or Oyi all of Anambra state where Coscharis farms and other commercial farms are located. Imo should go back to manufacturing. I remember Orlu used to make luggage bags in those days. Saw one in a friend's place some few years ago and it was still strong. But all of them have packed up. I used to know of Jacob's wines of mgbidi then but it is struggling badly now, not sure if it is still in operation. Imo state is now overflowing with lazy youths who only think of sex or orgies hence the rise in hotels to keep up with demand.

I beg to differ.
Imo State must diversify.
Else, we will lose our morals completely.
Nigeria is not America...there are certain things we cannot manage at this point in Nigeria.
Hotels have a way of harboring criminals and encouraging underage prostitution.
If you consider the positive effects, you must also weigh the negative consequences.
You are right. I watched a TVC news yesterday of an mbaise man who raped his own mother! Too much of hotels have damaged the morals of Imo girls. And it has left a huge employment gap to fill in the state. After FUTO churns out so many science students, there are no factories or tech firms to employ them, so they flee to Anambra or Rivers state in searbh of work. Again, the overconcentration of everything in owerri is taking its toll on the other parts of Imo. The hinterlands of Imo state are the most backwards, neglected and most horrible-looking in Igboland. The hinterlands of Enugu and Ebonyi are even manageable.
