Yes, it's a remake. The first one was produced in 1978.
OK, thanks man. Agatha Christie never disappoints. Will check it out. Loved the first one to bits. I doubt it would beat the first one.

Death on the Nile. 7.5/10

I wonder why it wasn't called deaths on the Nile. Gives me the knife out vibes. Great detective story.
is it a remake? I know I saw one way back during secondary school days. Agatha Christie poirot or so.

One was a React app that basically does CRUD. The company provided an API endpoint. Though I was told specifically to use Redux for state management.

The Second one was specifically a vue app and it's quite complex. I have to search for images matching words entered in a search field and do some mapping. After which I will generate an invoice using the company's in-house API.
Quite complex!

The third was an app for streaming musical beats with waveform visualisation. No preferred language but I used VueJs because that's my preferred framework.
good, thanks for the response. Man I must say, you have really put in work, as in gone far. Well done. That third one,and the second one. The third one in particular, I can't even start to imagine how to go about starting it. Kudos.

Yeah, I am a full stack developer but I focused on frontend (VueJs and Reactjs) when I realised this because I have always hoped to get a remote job and earn in dollars. Right now I am expecting positive results from three different companies in USA, Colombia, and Poland.
I have already passed their assessment tests (I was asked to build a mini app) and waiting for the final interview. I hope I will be favoured.
nice. Please if I may ask, what was the function of the mini app? As in what was it meant to do?

There is no way u will have peace of mind if u don't have money expecially in this Buhari time. Bill increase everyday, sch fees increase everyday, landlord self take advantage of Buhari economy mismanagement.

If you don't have money, u won't be able to eat good food, balance diet. Some people here can't remember the last time they eat fruits.

yes, you can cope with the time schedule as a student. Just try to always stay motivated. Try to always find time for it. And sorry o, I can't really be a guardian for you on it o, I will only let you down later down the line, as I might be too busy to help out. The best I can do for you is to tell you to search for the thread on Nairaland called chronicles of a data scientist or so. I can't remember the exact name. But type that in the search bar and scroll through, you would find that thread. There, you will get all the help you need as you journey down this part.

I never knew this, that's why I didn't delve into it
just make sure you are very very solid with the language. No need to reinvent the wheel. All those advanced maths that can blow one's head, it's libraries like sk learn and tensor flow you run on dem same with good old pandas. Just put in a lot of time into learning that language and those libraries and make sure you know what you are doing, with time it will become second nature to you.

Yeah you dont need jquery. Vanilla JS and PHP is okay but I will advise you to look at jamstack with React as that's the future of wordpress.
please was this the react tuts you used React - The Complete Guide (incl Hooks, React Router, Redux)? And if so, would like to find out if this is the one that was "class based"? Want to download, but want to be very sure if it's not the "class based one". Cause acquiring data now eh! Be like blood.

I am a Full Stack Engineer but I currently work as a Senior Frontend Engineer. If you are adventurous like me, you may add Angular to the frontend stack - That will make you stand out.

That being said, before now, the Startups were crazy about React until they realized that it is just a Library. Now they are talking about Nextjs which is a React Production Ready Framework - Nextjs gives you everything that is missing from React- No need for axios to make http request, you can build both front and backend using nextjs.
Based on my experience, the established enterprise prefer Angular for a project that requires CI/CD.

Furthermore, you may improve your React skills by picking Nextjs, once you are comfortable, you may pick up Angular.
bro, please MUST I learn TypeScript in order to work with angular?

MERN stack is still in high demand and I'm currently employed and earning as a MERN developer. I'm simply upskilling and positioning myself to earn more by learning Blockchain.

I don't regret learning MERN nor do I plan to abandon it, infact most Blockchain courses that I've gone through list JavaScript and React JS as requirements. These are skills that I'm already proficient in due to my MERN stack background. So learning MERN is definitely worth it.
good. Thanks for this

Nice one @ezechidera. If I may ask what path did you take in becoming a Blockchain developer?
I'm looking to switch from MERN stack to Blockchain next year and I'm thinking of signing up for Dapp university Blockchain course next month.
Bro, please hope you don't mind me asking, but why do you want to switch from mern? I know block chain is crazy money, but does being a mern stack developer really worth it? Job wise and money wise?

I am a full stack remote web and mobile application developer. I am also a digital marketer but as we all know landing freelance gigs is not a very easy thing. Once in a while I get mouth watering gigs here but I also do freelance writing too to keep body and soul together incase those gigs dont come as expected and believe me my freelance writing gig has been worth it. I have couple of platforms I write for on a freelance basis. Some it's just social media management but believe me its been worth it. In a bad month I will still make 200k from freelance writing and if web development or mobile app gig comes through I seriously cash out those months. It's been ups and downs but always grateful I chose remote or freelancing part. I know I have to work my ass out but it has saved me the stress of having to wake up in d morning to resume in an office and close in d evening only to get hooked up in some unpredictable Lagos traffic. I attended an interview some time ago and they said they will be paying me 250k on a monthly basis for a full time digital marketing role which I will resume in d office by 9am and close by 6pm mondays to Saturdays and I just looked at them and laughed in my mind cos even if I no comot for house i can make times 3 of that in a good month and they were still even giving me stringent conditions ooo as if na military I wan work with. I just jejely rejected d offer. As a freelancer I have my freedom. I sleep and wake up when I want. I decide when I want to work and when I dont want to do anything and catch fun. All I know is that when there is work for me to do I work my ass out but since I am seeing my money I no mind.

Seriously I started watching Breaking Bad from season 1 and it became too boring especially old men making drugs.

I discontinued it then. But recently I see much hype about it and I ask myself if it was not the same boring sh1t I watched then.
I was once like you too, I had that mindset. I left it and started watching another TV show, I think game of thrones or so. But dude! I had to come back to it because some powers that be when it comes to TV series persuaded me to do so. They said I am missing out on possibly one of the greatest TV series ever made. Bro, I came back o, and boy oh boy! Walter White Aka heisenberg, slowly but surely became "I am the danger".

Thank you, but why? @the bolded, please I want to know if it isn’t going to be so useful let me switch to something better I’m still at the beginning stage.

it's very true what the op said about "Ds and ML" having few jobs in Nigeria. If I were you ,I would listen to him. Nigeria isn't ready for it yet. What's paining me the most is the whole time I put into learning it. Spent months upon months on it only to find it hard in getting job openings for it here. The few I got didn't take me seriously because of lack of certification. So now I am switching over, after much thought over desktops or web dev, today I begin my journey into the world of web. Choose wisely.

Web development. Desktop applications aren't profitable because of how easy they are to pirate. A lot of companies are moving to the cloud now. Even adobe has cloud versions of its popular software. You can use the same languages and tools for web development to do desktop development. If you know javascript, you can use electron to do desktop applications. I might be wrong though.
Thank you, you are not wrong about electron. I read about it somewhere. The second question please, are web apps the same as website? This usually confuses me.
