At least 717 people taking part in the Hajj pilgrimage have been killed in a stampede near the Islamic holy city of Mecca, officials in Saudi Arabia say.

Another 863 people were injured in the incident at Mina, which occurred as two million pilgrims were taking part in the Hajj's last major rite.

It is the deadliest incident to occur during the pilgrimage in 25 years.

Justice Danladi Umar of the Code of Conduct Tribunal has ordered that a bench warrant should be issued on the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, for failing to appear to answer charges bordering on assets declaration.

The whereabouts of the Senate President is unknown as at this time. Some online reports said he's on the run.

Two crew members from Tom Cruise's new movie "Mena" were killed on set Friday after a plane went down in Colombia.

Reports say the small twin-engine plane went down with 2 American pilots and a Colombian citizen on board.

This horrible incident just happened at Ojuelegba in Lagos. A trailer ran off the bridge. The trailer with its container landed on top of cars crushing several people in the vehicles to death.

This incident happened at about 4:40pm. The number of casualties is yet unknown.

Orit Fox, a model was on an Israeli radio show for a photoshoot with a snake.

As she maneuvered the snamr into position after loosening her grip on its neck, and after being licked, the reptile reacted angrily.

The photo of a lady allegedly vomiting blood went viral on social media. Many claimed she was a runs girl and was dropped off by jeep, all seems to be lies.

I came across the elder brother, Samuel who shared the story on his Facebook.

"She slumped and died, while she was in pool of blood. Some miscreants took her photograph
instead of helping her and then posted it online saying she was dropped from a car and blood

An Indonesia plane (Trigana Air) with 54 people on board is missing.

The plane has 44 adult passengers, five children and infants, and five crew on board.

"We are not sure what happened to the plane yet"- spokesman.

This same airline has had 14 major incidence since it started operation.

I'm extremely excited because i'm part of this organisation. For nearly a decade, I have been working (voluntarily) as a coach for Special Olympics. I bet y'all didn't know I do sport. Lol.

Anyway, sixty delegates from Nigeria went to Los Angeles, USA to represent at the World Summer Games of Special Olympics.

The team returned with a total of 71 medals, 34  of which are gold.

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter Bobbi Kristina has died at the age of 22.

She passed away outside Atlanta in the hospice care facility where she's been since June 24 ... when her family decided to take her off all meds. As we first reported, a specialist had told them there was no chance of recovery.

Nonso Odo, aged 30 was beaten to death on Thursday by South African Police in Hilbrow, Johannesburg. 

The deceased who was a barber, quarreled with a fellow Nigerian in their business centre.

“After the quarrel, the fellow Nigerian stopped a police patrol team. The barber ran when he saw the patrol team.”

The police patrol went after the victim; 30 minutes later, the police brought back the lifeless body of the barber.
