MRS filling station located at Lawanson in Surulere Lagos is currently on fire. The fuel tanker was said to have exploded at the gas station. Two houses currently in flames. Fire fighters are currently battling to put out the fire.

No record of casualty yet (hopefully none).

The World Health Organization has set up a Zika "emergency team" after the "explosive" spread of the virus.

It expects three to four million cases of Zika virus disease in the Americas.

Zika was first detected in Uganda in 1947, but has never caused an outbreak on this scale. Brazil reported the first cases of Zika in South America in May 2015. Most cases result in no symptoms and it is hard to test for, but WHO officials said an estimated 1.5 million people had been infected in the country.

The virus, which is spread by mosquitoes, has since spread to more than 20 countries in the region.

Well Tuface is our role model to start with.

But anyway, Singer Wizkid has been rumoured to have a baby with a US-based Guinean lady. The lady whose Instagram handle @bluediamond224 is private, has reportedly been ‘hanging out’ with Wizkid while in the US.

We all know Wizkid is in (on and off) relationship with Tania Omotayo. Maybe that's just for the public eyes.

The baby mama's close friend Natalie Nunn recently, announced the news on her Instagram page, referring to the baby as ‘half Nigerian’. The baby mama had previously shared close snapshots of herself with Wizkid and also showed of pictures of herself while pregnant, on her Instagram page.

She was delivered of a baby boy whom she has named Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, after the singer, OMG!.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s letter addressed to the Senate President Bukola Saraki on Tuesday contains a serious error.

The letter, personally signed by Buhari, claimed that the 2016 budget proposal was submitted on 22 December, 2016 instead of 22 December, 2015.

President Buhari wrote to the National Assembly to formally request the withdrawal of the 2016 Appropriation Bill he had presented to a joint session of the federal legislature on December 22 for adjustment.

The president’s letter was addressed to Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara.

The beef between 50 Cent and Meek Mill is heating up as both rappers continue to slam each other on social media.

50 Cent’s latest jab is in the form of a fake obituary for Mill’s supposed “death.” The statement expresses, among other things, that Mill “will not be greatly miss[ed].”

The newest battle began when Mill released his new single, “Gave ’Em Hope,” in which he insinuates 50 Cent might be gay.

Three out of the fours boys who allegedly raped an 18-years old girl in Brooklyn New York were captured smiling on the way to court.

Denzel Murray, 14, Shaquell Cooper and Ethan Phillip, both 15, and Onandi Brown, 17 will be released from jail after Brooklyn District Attorney announced he will agree to set the five minors free claiming he needs more time to investigate the case.

The boys claimed that the girl was having sex with her own father at the park and they said 'Can we have some of that?' one of the boys allegedly asked the father.

Celine Dion's husband's Rene Angelil has died on Thursday after long battle with throat cancer. He died at their home in Las Vegas.

Rene Angelil was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998. His health got so bad last year that Celine took a leave of absence from her Las Vegas show to take care of him.

The outbreak of Lassa fever in Nigeria has killed 41 people out of 93 reported cases.

Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole however said the spread of the disease had not gone beyond 10 states of the country, denying reports it had spread to 12 states.

It is said to be the worst outbreak of the virus in Nigeria in the past four years.

A case was reported earlier today in Lagos where a 31year-old woman from Nasarawa State was referred from a private hospital to Mainland Hospital, Yaba over suspected Lassa Fever.

Malawian preacher & founder of the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church, Prophet Sheperd Bushiri has just acquired a third private jet in a space of two years.

The Stream private jet costs $37M (£25m). Prophet Bushiri became the youngest buyer of Gulf Stream jet. The pastor who is popularly referred to as “Major 1” of ‘Papa in Christian cycles dedicated the new jet to all the people who follow him and understand his vision.

A commercial driver has been accused of setting his 22 year old son, Sola ablaze for stealing from a roadside beggar in Omu-Aran, Kwara State.

Sola who is a Wheelbarrow pusher and a troublemaker, was accused of stealing money from roadside beggars. His father who allegedly took him to the bush and then set him on fire.

The Address Hotel which is the 6th tallest building in Dubai has been engulfed by fire and is currently burning.

The fire started on the 20th floor. The 63-storey hotel has 200 rooms and over 600 apartments and its 991feet tall

The world’s fattest man, Andres Moreno after suffered a heart attack as he was taken to a private hospital in an ambulance on Christmas Day.

The 38 year-old Mexican was bed-bound and weighed an incredible 960 pounds.

More than a hundred people are said to have died at a huge gas explosion on Thursday at a butane gas depot in Nnewi, Anambra state

The blast occurred as residents gathered to buy cooking gas on Christmas Eve. The fire raged for more than five hours before being extinguished. 

Witnesses said the bodies of workers and customers at the depot had been burned beyond recognition. Staff inside the plant are reported to have been trapped.
