Oga I'm not reading. You go and read about thermostat valve. Know the difference between thermostat valve and temperature sensor.

A thermostat reads the temperature of the Engine bay and determines if it should increase the RPM of the engine to quikly heat the engine to optimal level during cold starts. Also reads the temperature of the engine when warm and helps maintain optimal engine temperature. Most max engine levels are 195°C.. once the system detects temperature above such levels it kicks in and tries to cool down the engine

Not to have a thermostat is like a blind man who also has no sense of touch or feel. Your car can't ascertain when the engine is warm or cold and just works continuously. This is highly inefficient and can lead to engine wear and tear.

A working thermostat isn't the cause of your engine overheating.

An engine’s optimum temperature is between 85 to 105 degrees Celsius, naija ambient temperature is less than 40 degrees. From your understanding a 40 degree environment is heating up an engine designed to operate at over 85 degrees.

All this talk about naija being hot like it’s the hottest place in the world, Texas is hotter than Naija on average not to mention the Middle East.

If a thermostat gets stuck you change it, bypassing is not the solution you are only treating the symptoms and transferring problems to other parts of the engine. For starters your engine idle speed will go up, higher fuel consumption, engine runs below designed temperature, fuel won’t burn well causing carbon deposits, with time engine starts smoking. It’s like cooking with wet firewood.

Guess what Both cars are running perfectly fine Ac chilling and zero worries. when a car has suffered burnt Gasket twice, you should know it impacts the engine. Especially aluminium engines.
