mako007: Looking at the decay and level of corruption Nigeria is currently in after 16years under pdp led administrations, I begin to wonder why few Lagosians and its residents advocate Pdp for Lagos. I for one underwent a small scale feasibility study and I observed that few igbos especially those at Ago/Okota/Amuwo Odofin advocate for Pdp take over of Lagos just because they feel marginalized. I also did observe that most Yorubas Wanted Apc, but a few were passionate about "JK" saying he is a good man and can be trusted, I began to ponder how they came to their conclusions because my bible says "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man " - Psalm 118:8 and in Jeremiah 9:4 - "Let everyone beware of his neighbor, and put no trust in any brother, for every brother is a deceiver, and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer" it says in Proverbs 28:26 - "Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered" (apologies for going religious just wanted to reference words of wisdom). So what's all the fuss about JK we know, Jk we trust? Lastly I noticed that of most diehard JK supporters I encountered, were okada riders , yes! I understand their plight, I'm not insensitive but lets look deeply. Gov. Fashola did not ban okada outrightly he only placed them off roads that were not safe for Lagosians. It's all about the safety of lagosians, the mandate he was given by me and you when he assumed office. Why should a motorcycle ply the highway? This is a government that cares and follows rule of law. I've seen cases of how okada has destroyed lives, we all know the drill. To the okada riders and their sympathizers, have you watched closely, who really went out on okadas even on legal roads just to make money? Yea! The Nigerian Police Force, Nigeria operates Federalism and the police is controlled by the FG , so the much decay in the NPF who is supposed to uphold the rule of law goes about breaking the laws. Do you get my point? It's the pdp controlled corrupt police that went all out on okada even on legal roads. No man is perfect, I feel Fasholas one big mistake was that he tried the transformation of lagos! How could that even be a mistake? Because we just not ready, we don't want to make sacrifices, we not patriotic, we lack basic love for the common man on the street. Talk about education, I'm a lasuite, I knw what Fashola did to the system. Now let's not stop this transformation, everything comes with a price. We are too way intelligent as a people to fall for promises , at least that's what PDP is about. To be a great nation every citizen has to make meaningful contributions painstakingly. It's not about what Nigeria would do for you, what would you do for Nigeria. There is no national cake. Stealing is corruption.
So I'm open to hear views from nairlanders on why PDP should take Lagos. Please lets point out facts and not hear say like tinubu ceded the whole of lekki to his name, pls let's discuss facts. As far as I'm concerned I want the best man to win and continue the transformations . Buh as of now I know for sure it cant come from Pdp. So they should manage Lagos the way they manage Nigeria |

Politics › Tribunal Nullifies Niger Senatorial By-election by not4sure(op): 3:53pm On Jan 30, 2015 |
The National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal in Minna on Friday upturned the result of the Niger East Senatorial by-election conducted on August 30, 2014. The by-election was concluded on September 6, 2014 in favour of Barrister David Umaru of All Progressives Congress. The Chairman of the three-man tribunal, Justice Ibrahim Bako, gave the verdict in a judgement that lasted for hours. Justice Bako saw the APC candidate returning with 79,779 votes as against Dr. Shem Zagbayi Nuhu of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who had 68,525 votes. The APC candidate had petitioned the tribunal, challenging the declaration of his PDP opponent as winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission. This brings the number of APC Senators in the state to two – Niger East and Niger North Senatorial districts, while PDP hold on to its control of Niger South Senatorial district. http://thenationonlineng.net/new/tribunal-nullifies-pdp/ |

gp6liveth: 4 Things That Are Wrong With Buhari's Statement of Result
Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari - the APC Presidential candidate has finally released his "WASC Result" (after many weeks of lies, allegation and counter-allegation) as demanded by the Nigerian Constitution and Electoral laws from candidates that want to contest elective positions in the country.
For the sake of clarity, there is a big difference between Statement of Result and Certificate. Statement of Result is issued to a WAEC Candidate by the School s/he took the examination pending the time WAEC would release the main certificate. This is usually few years or so after the examination was taken. And once the certificate is released, the statement becomes invalid.
Buhari claims that he wrote the exam in 1961, so WAEC must have awarded him the certificate which supersedes this Statement of Result he released.
Mere looking at the Statement of Result, you will notice the following:
1. WAEC Format: The format in this Statement of Result was not the format used in the 1960s when Buhari wrote the exam. For instance, there was nothing like SSCE, WASSCE, NECO, May/June in 1960s as seen in the result. What they had then was WASC (West African School Certificate) which was established in 1952. Passport photography is not attached on the Statement of Result. WAEC started attaching passport photography on the certificate in the year 2000.
2. Name: Buhari's name is Muhammadu Buhari, but the result bears Mohammed Buhari. Though, Muhammdu is sometimes spelt as Mohammed, but when it comes certificate documentation, consistency is the watchword. Someone that bears Anthony Buhari cannot lay claim of a certificate that bears Tony Buhari. It is not possible unless a change of name is done. Did Buhari do a change of name? Any proof to that? Besides, his letter seeking to writing RNA qualifying exam dated 18th October, 1961 bears Muhammadu Buhari, how come his statement of result bears a different name?
3. The State the exam was taken: There was nothing like Katsina State in 1961. Katsina was created in 1987 and Buhari took his exam in 1961. How come the result is bearing Ministry of education, Katsina State?
4. Date Issued and Picture: Exam that was taken in 1961, the result is carrying date of 21st January, 2015 and Buhari’s recent picture. How come? Did the school just issue him the Statement of Result after over 5 decades he claims he wrote the exam? If they did, how come they made it to look so old? By the way, there is no need to issue him a statement, since WAEC is there to issue a certificate which supersedes the Statement of Result.
Conclusion: Buhari doesn’t need a Statement of Result “cooked up” by an named Principal of a secondary school. A statement of result is given when WAEC is yet to release the CERTIFICTAE. Buhari’s WAEC certificate of 1961 had already been released long ago if he actually took the exam. So, Buhari should proceed to WAEC for certificate verification since he knows his examination number. Only he can do this since WAEC doesn’t release someone’s result to a third party. Guy this is a statement of result requested in 2015. |
Politics › Army Speaks On Buhari’s Certificate by not4sure(op): 5:06pm On Jan 20, 2015 |
The Nigerian Army on Tuesday responded to the controversy surrounding the educational certificate of the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Gen. Mohammadu Buhari. The Director of Army Public Relations, Brig. General Olajide Olaleye, at a press conference in Abuja, said neither the original copy, Certified True Copy (CTC) nor statement of result of Buhari’s WASC results is in his personal file. Olaleye, however, said Buhari’s application was duly endorsed by the Principal of Provincial Secondary School, Katsina, who also wrote a report and recommended him as suitable for military commission. Full text of Olaleye’s statement on the issue reads: “I will begin with the Major General Muhammadu Buhari certificate controversy. Gentlemen, let me state clearly that the Nigerian Army holds the retired senior officer in very high esteem and respect and would not be a party to any controversy surrounding his eligibility for any political office. Suffice to state that Major General Buhari rose steadily to the enviable rank of Major General before becoming the Head of State of our dear country in December 1983. “The media hype on retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s credentials as well as the numerous requests made by individuals and corporate bodies to the Nigerian Army on this issue have necessitated that we provide the facts as contained in the retired senior officer’s service record. Records available indicate that Major General M Buhari applied to join the military as a Form Six student of the Provincial Secondary School, Katsina on October 18, 1961. “His application was duly endorsed by the Principal of the school, who also wrote a report on him and recommended him to be suitable for military commission. It is a practice in the NA that before candidates are shortlisted for commissioning into the officers’ cadre of the Service, the Selection Board verifies the original copies of credentials that are presented. However, there is no available record to show that this process was followed in the 1960s. “Nevertheless, the entry made on the NA Form 199A at the point of documentation after commission as an officer indicated that the former head of state obtained the West African School Certificate (WASC) in 1961 with credits in relevant subjects: English Language, Geography, History, Health Science, Hausa and a pass in English Literature. However, neither the original copy, Certified True Copy (CTC) nor statement of result of Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s WASC result is in his personal file. “I hope this explanation will put to rest the raging controversy surrounding the secondary school credentials of Major General Mohammed Buhari as it affects the Nigerian Army.” http://thenationonlineng.net/new/army-speaks-buharis-certificate-saga/ |

After listen to DSS spokesperson Marylin Ogar. I discover that the Nation cannot solve Insecurity problem again. These are my reason : 1. The spokesperson told us initially told Nigeria that APC were cloning PVC but failed to show us the Cloned PVC. She showed us a hard copy of registration card for APC showing multiple registration and underage register and even went quoting APC constitution. So of what importance is to Nigeria on APC register and why is she not showing us the clone PVC.
2. DSS said that from their recovery from data center, they saw an hacking book and a soft copy of hacking tutorial, now this is my concern, a party like APC with all financial power will not employ an hacker that will need to read an hacking tutorial to hack any system. So to me Hacking allegation is unfounded.
3.DSS should please charge APC leaders to court and stop being s mouthpiece for PDP. And they should please allow APC solve their problem of multiple registration an d under age registration and better face the security problem |
