The Consul-General of Ghana in Lagos, Mr. Maxwell Awiaya, on Wednesday, disclosed that there are about 500,000 Ghanaians currently living in different Nigerian cities and communities.

Awiaya also told newsmen in Lagos that only about 20,000 out of the number had so far been registered as Ghanaian nationals in Nigeria.

So what's your response to this?

Most 20 yrs in Ghana can equally buy those cars in Nigeria....Ghana have strict custom laws on cars.....you can't go to Togo or Benin to buy a car cheaply and sneak it in the country to drive it normally like it's happening in Nigeria......you risk getting it seized for good.......in Ghana you pay very hefty amount on duty before you can use the car in the country and it's not easy to beat the laws....this is not a Zoo but a country govern by laws with common sense.....what shall it benefit you to own a car and sleep inside darkness full of sweat and eat concoctions as food.....bring it on,I also know what is happening in the Zoo more than you think

It is called self preservation. every country is doing what it needs to do to survive . that is the global trend. every country, from US to China, to Ghana. so, instead of fighting with Ghana over rights for your citizens in Ghana, fight with your own government to make life better for you at home. That is the crux of the matter.

nigeria even started this nonsense by closing its borders to neighbouring countries. when neighbouring countries complained, nigeria said it was doing so to protect is economy. what kind of rubbish is that? Its only nigeria that knows how to protects its citizens and its economy, other countries don't know how to protect its economy and its citizens.
