N3TRAL:
Apart from my political bias, I love and admire Mr. Emefiele's commitment to a cashless economy.

It will benefit Nigeria in the long run. Let's cooperate for the sake of our future.

A cashless society will check embezzlement and misappropriation of public funds. It will reduce terrorism financing drastically.

Focus should be on improving e-banking infrastructure and enlightening computer illiterates on the need to evolve.

Politics › Re: Peter Obi Explained In Court On How The Election Was Rigged by NothingDoMe: 4:16pm On Mar 28, 2023
skj1377:
All Peter obi votes in the south east should be scrutinized first. Let us see if the INEC officials in those areas followed all these protocols. Even in Lagos labour party rigged. Anyways he will not win in court am 100% sure. 2003 Buhari won the election against obasanjo but court did not upturn the victory same in 2007 . In 2019 Atiku obviously won but Buhari remained president and court did nothing. Same senairo will playout. The CJN most likely will never anul a presidential election. But whichever way the pendolium swings southwest is ready. Regional gov or peaceful separation. We are equally tired!
How did Buhari win Obasanjo? Are you joking or what? OBJ that was seen as the father of democracy? Una sef can talk anyhow.

Who are you feeding? One of you brought the same story and I just laughed because there's nothing like that. I asked you to see if you could provide any new information but I guess it's the same whatsapp group message. Here's my response to him below.

I disagree. He has an affinity for APC but he is not at all tribalistic as far as I can tell.
Depends. There's a difference between tribalistic and detribalized. I digress.

If your mods are not vocal against tribalistic comments then the problem is only half solved by banning. The mods should try to comment on such posts explaining why it's not tolerated in this forum.

Does Abuja have an elected Governor? If you want to compare Anambra to Abuja start from there.

Rochas2023:
E Dy sweet me as Yorubas have once again proved they are the king of the South. Rightly it should be the turn of the Igbo man to be President. But now Yoruba have stolen it. And Igbo can't do nothing. Even if you try coup, it will surely backfire, suck it up and plan for the next 16 years.😂😂.

This is democracy, is the will for the people.
I disagree. I hope the igbos will ignore this. Since no side of the south was specifically chosen, anyone can emerge president.

Since Obi's petition emerged there's been a doubling of tribal attacks. I implore easteners to ignore. Tinubu can not run away forever. The case dey wait am.

deserteagl:
Please I need help.
I did 2 different applications for interview waiver appointments.
One for my parents and one for my wife, with both submitted on the same day 7th of March 2023.
Their visas expired in 2021and we have been renewing via dropbox for many years before now.

We received the notification for an interview waiver appointment for my parents within 24 hours (8th March 2023) with an appointment date of 10th March 2023 and we have dropped off the passports since then and awaiting processing.

We expected to receive that of my wife at the same time since they were submitted together but it did not happen.
We waited for 10 days since this was the maximum stated on their website but the time has since elapsed.

We have made inquiries twice via the feedback form but the response has been generic and just says you will be sent a notification via email.
No timeframe, no context, and nothing to work with. This is now the 3rd week and no response.
Any ideas, please?
Seen this happen more than once already.
NothingDoMe:
Lol. Happened to a colleague. He was able to get dates for family and their visas were approved in January.

He however encountered strange errors with his own account. They kept saying they'll look into it until his vacation passed and they couldn't travel. They finally fixed it and he submitted only to be refused with 221G. He's waiting for a date for the follow up interview as we speak as it's all blank atm.

He was traveling with full family including in-laws so maybe it triggered Japa alarms.

The dark clouds that lie ahead of Festus Keyamo, Reno Omokri, Femi Fani-Kayode are thick, ugly, frightful, violent and impassable.

They cannot make it through them safely or survive them... Just a matter of time and they'll fall into our trap completely.
He will be stripped of his SANship. He can return back to local politics that he was never good at in the first place

Read and comprehend. He made the same submission on January 23rd, that was a month before the presidential election.
Yes and he threw more light on his earlier statement on Sunday. All past presidential elections Falana never said anything about the 25% until one month before Tiffnubu didn't meet the 25%. Coincidence? Lol.

Here's what I think. Tinubu knew rigging Abuja would be difficult and there's a likelihood that he'd fall short of the 25%. So he went ahead to prepare the mindset of everyone. He finds someone with the opinion he wants and pushes that opinion to the forefront. In this case, Falana is the willing/unwilling tool.

Even Falana said that he addressed this same issue in January? You Obidients will forever remain obstinate.

Miss interpretation, all it says is that the Abuja is considered the 37th state, and so the winner is meant to get 25% in two third in 37 states, instead of 36 states.

Simple arithmetics.
Where in the law is Abuja the 37th state? 🤔

I cant wait to see how all of una go begin wail once supreme court clears you peoples eyes.

Try again 2027....you already know you didn't win majority of Lawful votes thats why you now want to use any means possible to usurp power....some of you have started a petition online to make third place holder the winner of the election..... so you people dont even want to follow democratic principles of election to get to power .....ELU pee and obidients will never cease to amaze me
Okay shinedu I hear you. Sha tell Tinubu to be fast. He can't run away forever. Next time when they say bring presidential candidate you will not bring a drug lord 😆😆

Last last, everybody will be alright. Increasing the price is not my problem because I know some people with low IQ will come online and be shouting that developed countries buys fuel like 1k and blablabla. My issue is, what will be the benefits of the citizens, will salary, both private and government increase with like 200% to sustain families? What will be the advantage citizens will benefit from government? Won't they still embezzle the money and go free? Nigeria need a lot to answer. I dedicate this my FTC to all obidients, batfied and atikulate fans. One Nigeria. God bless us all. But I want to make one thing clear , each and everyone conscience will judge him/her. If truly u want better country for ur next generation, and not for selfish interest, ur conscience will judge u.
And those of us who truly want a better country will reap the greatest blessings. Amen! Amin! Ameeeeeeeeen!
Politics › Re: Votes Cast In All Parts Of Nigeria Are Equal, Says Falana by NothingDoMe: 1:27am On Mar 27, 2023
Na when Tinubu nor meet requirements that's when we begin to hear that votes cast are equal.

Section 134 is not saying votes are not equal. It is saying that you should get 25% in the FCT. If you can get 25% in 30 states then why should FCT be a challenge given its demographics?

It's not like it's Igbo people there, according to urchins, that will thwart the 25%.

watch them start insulting the man
Why insult Falana when he's said that only the court can truly give the answer?

But now that it has become a serious legal issue and the matter is now pending in court, I am very reluctant to speak definitively on the section because there are decisions of the court on the status of Abuja,” Falana said.
The faster Tiffnubu responds the faster we'll be done with this. Let's have APCs counter affidavit. It's been about 5 days already 😆

Obidients won't like this news. I am sure they would say Falana has been bribed by Tinubu grin
Why? Falana is entitled to his own personal opinion. Like I said in the thread I created, no leading presidential candidate has ever fallen short of the 25%. Tinubu has broken the record.

Even Falana has refused to comment further on it. Let's hear what the supreme court says.
