I carefully observed this in a community with serious clash with another community of a different tribe, due to land tussle. It escalated into a full blown war (where heavy armoury was used, in the southern region). It was fought for 2years and those who fought and died in the war were street touts, thugs and traditionalist, who refused to be intimidated. While i saw the gentlemen, educated, simple either fleeing the community or hiding in their houses, in fear. The thugs and touts so much abused, and disdained, physically became the saviour of the simple & gents.
