Jonraid:Northern Kenya posses 3.5 miillion people as of your last census. (I and your fellow Kenyans here did the calculation). That was 10% of your population. Northern Nigeria has large cities, dozens of urban areas and financial centers. It would have been as progressive as the south, just that the people there have a retrogressive culture, so they rejected western education. Whatever troubles being caused by Alshabaab or whatever militia in Northern Kenya cannot be compared with the likes of BH that invaded towns and villages and sacked people from their homes. BH insurgency is as good as a full scale war. |
mtisTheQubit:These are the people your white masters call poor based on western monetary statistics. Do they look hungry to you? They have acres of farmlands and many kilos of farm produce. All they need is education, social amenities and infrastructure. They are not poor.
|
mtisTheQubit:Use your brains. People struggling with poverty cannot buy Dstv let alone become active subscribers. Same with online shopping. Nigeria's poor people are richer than Kenya's low income earners because poor rural Nigerians have access to lands with which they farm food and cash crops and sell for profit. These people are only poor according to western monetary standards of evaluation. |
Jonraid:We were in most of the 70s, 80s and 90s. This is why mtisTheQubit assertion is impossible and unfeasible. More than 30 years of our 57 years of independence have been under military rule, why do you think we are dragging shittthole status with you Kenyans? If not for the decades of military rule, we would have been so so ahead of Kenya in development. |
Jonraid:I understand the existence of these politically unstable neighbours of Northern Kenya, but Northern Kenya has been starving year in year out and it's not as if they were invaded and internally displaced by Alshabaab like Nigerianss being displaced by Bokoharam. The North-east of Nigeria is the part of Nigeria which is so lowly populated. This was why Boko haram could survive in this region for so long, some forests in North-east Nigeria are bigger than some entire states in the southern parts. So you need more to convince me. |
Jonraid:Only extremely dumb people will expect citizens of a country to fare better during a dictatorial military regime than a democratic dispensation. |
mtisTheQubit:Yes this is because you guys do all the menial jobs like sweeping the streets and taking care of the sewage ![]() Nigerians are involved in more high class white collar jobs and businesses. Afterall we are the most educated group in the US, more educated than the Chinese-Americans, Japanese-Americans and white Americans. Beat that! https://www.chron.com/news/amp/Data-show-Nigerians-the-most-educated-in-the-U-S-1600808.php |
mtisTheQubit:What silly numbers? I rather take on more justifiable numbers that prove that Nigeria has by far the largest purchasers/subscribers of a middle income product. E.g Satelite television and online shopping. Nigeria has 40% of active dstv subscribers (the largest and best satelite television in Africa). https://pageone.ng/2017/03/14/dstv-11-million-subscribers/amp/ Nigeria also has by far the largest percentage of online shoppers in Africa. We lead Africa in E-commerce. https://guardian.ng/business-services/nigeria-leads-south-africa-others-in-online-shopping/amp Cc Jonraid Things like this wouldn't have been possible if we didn't have a large population of citizens who can afford decent living. People like Kikuyu1 would never see facts like this to justify Nigerians have a strong emerging middleclass. |
Jonraid:rvp2018, mtisTheQubit etc pls come and carry your brother oo. It's because of people like him that I keep saying that most of you Kenyans need to go back to your alma mata to request for a refund of your tuition fees. I have reiterated this a thousand times that Nigerians and in extension west Africans do not starve unless in cases of political instability or disasters. He is showing me links of Malians in Timmbuktu and Gao areas facing threats of starvation. Perhaps he doesn't know that Northern Mali has been fighting a war Azzawad separatists and ISIS who are directly funded by Al-qaeda. There has been a war in Northern Mali. |
Kur17:Are you trying to say that the more expensive the cost of living is in a country, then the more developed that country is? Malaysia and many other countries doing far better than Kenya are cheaper than Kenya in terms of cost of living, so try something else. Your country is more expensive because you guys do not have food (the bedrock of human existence), also, you guys do not have access to lands to build houses of your choice within a city. For instance, with a monthly salary of $250, you can live a very decent and comfortable life in a good house and have access to abundance of food, health care, loans etc, in Northern Nigeria with even less that amount. This would be impossible in Kenya. Kenya only has better infrastructure in place where only a few percentage of the population reside. Nigeria has her own infrastructures equally spread about the country in every nook and cranny and easily accessible to every citizen. You can't beat that. |
mtisTheQubit:This is nothing but bullshittt ! During the military rule of the 80's and 90's, Nigeria had a non existent middleclass population. Today, 20% of our population (40 million citizens) are perfectly middle income earners. Nigeria is growing richer and not poorer. Except for the economic depression of 2016. |
Jonraid:Hahaha. Watch and see that your fellow Kenyans here will not argue with me on the cost of living between Kenya and Nigeria because we have thrashed this issue hundreds of pages ago and I gave them a massive blow on this topic till they started claiming that life is expensive in Kenya because Kenya has better quality services and products bla bla bla. Perhaps I can link you back hundred pages to that section. You can ask NairobiWalker how far we went with that discussion. He was the chief defense for Kenya on that topic. It will interest you to know that for a start house rent in Kenya is far higher than that of Nigeria. https://www.nairaland.com/3327789/kenya-ahead-nigeria-all-aspect/1821 You can start from this page, then go forward and backwards 10 pages or less to read the debate. Then google the GDP per capital (ppp) and nominal for both Kenya and Nigeria for yourself. If you don't know how this applies to cost of living, then you shouldn't even be in this thread afterall. |
rvp2018:Please google starvation in Niger republic and check the results. The last starvation in Niger republic was in 2005 and this happened because there was a massive locust invasion which came and destroyed most of their food crops. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005%E2%80%9306_Niger_food_crisis West Africans do not starve without a justifiable reason. |
rvp2018:That was from 2 years ago when BH was at it's peak. There are no more internally displaced people in Adamawa and Yobe states. They've been resettled since last year and have gone back to their normal lives, s there has been no insurgency in both states. https://punchng.com/adamawa-close-idps-camps-next-month/amp/ https://amp.pulse.ng/news/local/in-yobe-state-government-set-to-close-last-idps-camp-id6009893.html Borno is the only state with IDPs. And they have IDP centers and camps where they are been provided for. |
Kur17 made a comment here comparing the salary scales of Nigerian and Kenyan military personels while making fun of the Nigerian pay scale. The ignoramus thinks that the cost of living in Nigeria and Kenya is the same thing. Life is 2 times more expensive in Kenya than in Nigeria. This is clearly demonstrated in our GDP per capital (PPP). Kenyans here are still yet to tell us why life is so expensive in that slum filled country of theirs. Go no further for the answer - FAKE LIVES! cc Kur17, Jonraid, kenyanstar, rvp2018, kikuyu1

Jonraid:Nigerians starved during the Boko haram crisis for the first time after 50 years since the Nigerian civil war. I dare you to show me links of Nigerians starving before Boko haram crisis ! |
rvp2018:No they do not starve. Do you know that Nigerians get most of our livestocks from Niger republic? How can they starve when they can purchase food from Nigeria with this money? Food which we have in abundance. Don't forget we are one ECOWAS. The government of Niger also use their 10% arable land for farming food crops and not flowers and tea. So these food crops and abundance of livestocks sustain their population. There is even a particular beans variety Nigerians import from Niger republic. |
rvp2018:We may never need your cheese and avocados cos we also have them in abundance here. |
Slaveryisgood:I even prefer zulus at least they know they are being oppressed and they need their lands back. Kenyans are suffering but they don't know it. They come here to defend their white slave masters. |
rvp2018:Is northern Kenya more arid than the Sahara desert? (the largest desert in the world)? A huge chunk of west africa is covered by the sahara desert. Countries like Niger republic and Mali have 70-90% of their landmass completely desertified, yet they never starve. Stop giving excuses to wickedness from your central government. |
rvp2018:Sell to you cheaply, then you sell to your citizens at exorbitant prices right? Otherwise, why is the cost of living so expensive in Kenya compared to Tanzania? Don't let anyone deceive you. Food crops should be the bedrock of every developing nation in order to ensure a lower cost of living. |
rvp2018:But really, where were these Turkanas and other savage Kenyan tribes when other Kenyans were being civilized? Gosh! These people are an eyesore and a shame to all black africans. How can people still be like this in 2018? |
Slaveryisgood:Please brother, stop posting these pictures. As much as I hate the way Kenyans' brains work, seeing that hungry child on the ground breaks my heart, especially when his skin colour looks like mine If this child was starving because of a war, It would have been easily understandable unlike a case when the child starves because of greedy and devious white and Indian elites in Nairobi and their black collaborators. This is why we cannot take the likes of rvp2018 and Kikuyu1 over whatever bullshittt they type here on Kenya's economy. Bunch of jokers. |
rvp2018:It doesn't matter how many the whites are. What matters is how much land they own. One white man can own all the available lands in an entire state afterall. Black Kenyans seriously need economic emancipation just like their Zulu counterparts. I just cannot imagine living in a country I call mine where whites, Indians and other foreigners live in all the luxury estates, own all the sky scrappers WHILE people of my own kind dominate the slums. I truly thank God for West Africa where we don't have to witness things like this. 99.9% of my political leaders, business elites, wealth holders and everything else are black skinned like me. |
rvp2018:I wish Kenya would farm more food crops which will help the huge starving population. Starving people cannot drink tea. Now I see where the obsession for BLANKET AND TEA parties come from in Kenya.
|
Ikidons:This is obviously true. |
Quality20:Stop saying nonsense. Many Plateau indigenes have muslim and Hausa surnames. Myself for example. |
Jonraid:https://www.google.com/amp/s/citizentv.co.ke/news/balala-heres-why-tourists-prefer-tanzania-to-kenya-190830/%3Famp I think this link above explains it all or don't you believe your minister anymore?
|
Slaveryisgood:Gbam. You don talk am finish. |
Jonraid:Tanzania received more tourists than Kenya last year, so what is your argument? Even your minister Najib Balala confirmed this, or do you want me to drop the link here? Don't make me call the attention of Kazika.... (the one man army and Kenyan brain resetter). |
Kur17:Does your Masai brain forgets that Life in Nigeria is 3 times cheaper than life in Kenya? Why is Kenya, a developing shitthole nation so damn expensive for starters? Malaysia is far more advanced than Kenya yet the cost of living in Malaysia is cheaper. |
rvp2018:Oya pepe dem gang . Statistics show Nigeria receiving more tourists than Kenya and all you have to do is hate. You think tourism is all about your lame hotels and resorts? Don't forget that Nigeria hosts the biggest street party and carnival in Africa. |

..an what the freaky does dstv got to do with being poor
. If your average Kenyans were good at small scale farming as you claim , then you would be mates with the black South Africans and Namibians who are exporting and can also feed their population. Why are you black Kenyans starving in numbers compared to us , tanzanians, ghananians, South Africans and Zimbabweans
.Who is making all that money from the tea and flower farms
. The most advanced African farmers for you
