Nigeria was No 1 economy in Africa under GEJ.

Now there's crises in all sectors of our economy: no fuel, no forex, no jobs, no power supply.

This is a Government that promised us change but ended up giving us negative change.


Even if you are paid to defend Buhari, you know that he is not competent to lead Nigeria to the promised land as some people were made to believe.

How I wish that God had made govt in such a way that whatever the type of leadership one wishes is exactly what happens in his home. By then comments like these will not be seeing light of the day. For God sake, how can a Nigerian in his right frame of mind prefer the direction the country was heading b4 the present administration. Do u know when Nigeria started importing and subsidizing refined petroleum products? Do u know when our refineries started producing below rated capacities? Do u know the cost implication of subsidising these products considering dwindling public revenue? Also, do u know who built those refineries? Do u know who failed to maintain them? Since those refineries where built over 30 yrs ago, no single one has been added even with the oil windfall, why? Why not find answers to these questions?

It's quite simple. The removal of subsidy was a government policy, which was interpreted by people to mean that the price of fuel would go up and it won't come down unless they did something about it. So there was no hope unless people protested.


The current scarcity is not a policy of government, so people believe that it would subside. "Maybe it will subside today, maybe it would subside tomorrow". So people are waiting for it to subside. There will be protests if, for example, the government announces that the scarcity will continue for 6 more months. So people are angry, but they are still hopeful that it will subside today or tomorrow.

I must say that this is one of the most educating comments I have read in this forum. U passed through school and, certainly, school passed though u.

Are u just assuming that the country is still being milked as usual? I think u need to give reasons don't just assume. On electricity, I hope u are not by any chance saying that u had 24 hrs power supply during the previous administration. This problem of power in Nigeria dates from time immemorial and expecting the present administration to fix it within 10 months is the height of unfairness. Fuel? Except if u had no reason to buy fuel few yrs back, u don't have any reason to make it look as if fuel scarcity is unique to the present administration. In addition to fueling my car, I also use generator due to poor POWER SUPPLY and I know what I had passed through in this Lagos which is not too different from the present situation. High cost of commodities? Most of our commodities are imported and u don't use naira outside Nigeria. Are u not aware of what is happening to our major source of dollars?

God bless u. In addition, these refineries were built when he was the minister of petroleum and non, not even one of the subsequent successive administration was able to maintain those refineries let alone build more even during the oil boom.

It is very obvious that most of you don't know the state of the economy at the tail end of the last administration. I sometimes wished that the present administration never came on board whenever l read comments from your likes, but even at that the differences will never be known just the way it is impossible to be known now. Anyway, God's way is different from that of man. Otherwise, I haven't seen any reason to vindicate the previous administration in the face of the ongoing shocking revelations of how this country was practically converted to a milking cow for just few in govt.
