I performed badly at the interview in my own knowledge because my CV was 3 pages and I have forgotten some stuffs there. After the interview they ask me "Do I have a question for us?". I asked what can I improve on?...One of the interviewer said " Master your CV". Infact, one of the main main in group 13 is always finding error in my CV.

I DO NOT KNOW ANYBODY AT ANYWHERE.

My friends here, keep hope alive and if you didn't get, better things are coming FOR SURE. I learnt a lot from you guys here especially optimism, selflessness and human relations.

I just left the court. So sorry I couldn't snap pics... That is Monsieur Balher's specialty.

Anyways, I had to drop my big phone at the reception in first floor as those people said it's only lawyers that are allowed to enter the court rooms with their phones only for me to see some people with phones lurking the corridors of the court.

My inability to go in with my phone delayed me from giving on the spot updates.

All in all, the court determined the case based on NNPC's preliminary objection and dismissed the lawyer's case. I'll give a detailed report of the Judgement when I get home... I'm in transit presently and I want to get down, ama do the needful. Thanks everyone!

Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja. (The one beside Federal Ministry of Justice).
Court 6. Hon Justice Okon Abang's Court (second floor left wing).

The court room is not that big and lawyers do justle for seat with journalists and litigants so you may need to be there earlier. The court sits exactly by 9:00am.

I'll be there too by God's grace to listen to the judgement in favour of release of our beloved APL.

Honestly, I have enjoyed this thread from d beginning, I was here since the day Dmainman posted this,....such fun memories , Unfortunately it's being over 7 months, and nothing from NNPC, To my observations they don't seem serious at all.

They believe everyone is after the money they are paying, so they can threat us anyhow. This seriously offends me personally.

So, if you like keep the APL till next year or whenever or just give it to ur friends & politicians. Last last none of us will live FOREVER.

P.S. @lilodez and @chukkkz, I noticed you've tried to reach me, however, it's my office mail that I used to open this account (when it was still on a free to use basis) before the new management put in some stringent measures and even access the mails in our absence. So any mail notification from NL always move to spam by default and immediately I see it, I delete it (I neva get another job yet Biko). Anyways, NNPC is not new to those shenanigans and they knows how to handle them. I remembered during the botched 2015 recruitment, the NANS presidency led by Tijani Usman made several demands from the then leadership of NNPC.. Las las something exchanged hands and they went back to their house rejoicing!

The moral of the story, most of those agitations are just to drive unnecessary favours towards the agitators and trust me, NNPC knows how to handle them. They attempted that method with that lawyer but the lawyer who is Tijani's boy (I know this of a fact cos I be former NANS pikin myself) tried to outsmart them by quickly rushing to Court and trying everything within his means to make NNPC cower but NNPC didn't flinch. They knew that the worst case scenario is that the Court will determine that the requirements are discriminatory and directs that a new recruitment exercise be done to cater for the lacuna the earlier one had - end of discussion! But in this instance, the likelihood is so low. Check my former post for that.

Besides, there is no employment advert that seems to specifically state that it is meant for a particular set of people. What happens is that they make the thing opened to all and anyone who fits the bill get employed. Moreover, NNPC is a Corporation that gives equal opportunity to all subject to the relevant provision of the law, bla bla bla. Thus the petition from the pwd will likely end in the archives.

Guys, many eyes are on this NNPC recruitment ish o.

I went to print some documents somewhere close to my house and I saw someone typing a petition letter to NNPC. From the heading, It was about the Non-inclusion of People with disabilities (pwd) from the on-going recruitment. Apparently, they have a governing body which wrote for thier inclusion in march 2019 ( when NNPC just advertised). The man also cited some sections in FCC laws which are against discrimination of pwd.

I guess NNPC have many battles to face before this recruitment concludes.

I already decided not to say anything or make any comment in relation to the court matter since peeps here doesn't appreciate indepth search for information even at one's integrity and pride's detriment.

Anyways, I have this to say. TEASER4 and the rest can curse as much as they like, I'm not perturbed.

1. The law (any lawyer in the house can prove me wrong) is that judgement must be given within 90 days after parties adopt their processes and Feb 14 seems to be the rough estimate of 90 days since the last adjournment which as the news had it (and as I posted here even before the news was published) that parties adopted their respective processes in November 28, 2019 and the Court adjourned to Feb 14, 2020 for judgement/ruling (you may apply for CTC of records of proceedings of that day to confirm). Thus, if there will be any adjournment at all, it will be at the instance of the court for various reasons best known to it and the adjournment cannot exceed 28 February 2020.

2. What NNPC did was to direct their plans towards 14th February 2020 or a later not exceeding February 2020 since they are more comfortable with Hon Justice Okon Abang handling the case. Since Justice Abang was transferred back to Abuja from Asaba, NNPC has enjoyed 100% success rates in matters handled by him. It is widely known that Justice Abang is a judge that favours the government. So NNPC decided not to even contact the lawyer that sue them or his contacts and would love to have the matter decided by Justice Abang.

3. The initial plan before the first Judge (the present CJ) that was hearing the matter gave that order to maintain status quo was to just drag the case on and release the APL Midway through the matter so that the matter can be an academic exercise. They were however held back by the order of the Court to maintain status quo. They had release the thing and end the Project Eagle since late last year or earlier this year but they knew the implication of form 48 and 49 and thus, they decided not to give the lawyer who only wants to generate publicity the privilege and rights to rant on media.

4. A friend who works in the legal Dept of NNPC says that they are very optimistic that the decision would go the Corporation way and the matter will be decided based on the preliminary objection without any need to go to the merit of the action and even if the court decide to hear the merit, NNPC will surely win and the APL will drop almost immediately. S/He told me this since December last year and repeated same just last week.

P.S. I feel like getting this info out. I wanted to keep this to myself just like I kept other info but I guess someone needs this so as to have his/her eggs evenly shared and not have it all thrown in one basket. For those that doesn't want to hear anything about the court case or thinks it has been settled, make the right calls to either the court, the corporation or the lawyer and you will know the true state of the matter.

My advice is that, we all dust our files and stay off drugs for the time being (if you're into it).. APL is ready for disbursement and it will drop tomorrow.. Shey we all like lies ..

Person will drop legit info, some people will use everything within their means to discredit it just because they felt it does not go down well with them. The fact is we do no have control over the situation in the Towers and other supervening events like the pending court case and the recently resolved contract staff situation.

Whilst we all expect the APL to drop anytime soon (either next week or next year), I'll advice that nobody should think he/she has monopoly of bad mouth. Some of us just had to keep mute because of home training .. In the hindsight, nobody should expect a reply or response from me. You tag me at your own peril..

While we await the APL to drop in the coming days, I got an info from my friend within the court reporters circles that the matter brought by the rogue lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi was finally heard today by Justice Okon Abang of Federal High Court Abuja and the matter was adjourned to February 14 2020 for judgement.

The sauce gave some further info which I guess is not important to be shared here since the spirit is high and we are all expectant. I just hope it doesn't affect the much anticipated APL.
